I read somewhere else that only 172 of these ever were made, between 1969 and 1972. Super-rare. Great playing, Mike!
In 1968-69 Gibson was sold and they changed the neck joint design and started producing a lot more guitars
Great take on the old Sly and the Family Stone's "Everyday People"!
Superb. When Lemmo plays at the Royal Albert Hall I'll be buying a ticket.
That guitar certainly has its own voice.
(:
Mr. Lemmo makes every guitar he plays sound great!
Wow! That guitar got vibes for days. Looks almost like gator skin. Sounds fantastic too. Really tasteful solo Lemmo. Great playing dude👏👍🤟
The gator skin look is called lacquer checking. It looks great with the Brazilian rosewood grain.
That second song was a total vibe. Omg
Sly and the Family Stone...Everyday People. Michael had a great take on it.
That is how humbuckers should sounds. Beautiful guitar
Aren't they mini-humbuckers..?
The power of Crest compels you!
Book matched back. Beautiful
I’ve owned my Crest for decades. I love it! I installed a Bigsby tremolo which gives it a unique feel and sound but still has the sweet tone of the mini humbuckers which can be as cranked up as you want. Added Schaller tuners and a gold adjustable bridge. It’s a keeper!
It doesn’t have a volute so that tells me 1969 or early 70. Amazing guitar, I especially enjoy the lacquer sinking on the body. Amazing tone.
Beautiful guitar. One has to wonder how a guitar like that finds it's way into that show. Wonder what's the rest of its history? Wish upon a star - 🌟
Michael always plays the guitars with respect and kindness.
Can you say "checking?!" 🤩Oh, wait, and tone for days? 🤯 Incredible guitar... great choice by JJ!
Beautiful guitar, beautiful playing
Fantastic sounding guitar. And quite the looker too.
Magnolia, nice touch
Lemmo is so cool. He's the kind of guy I could hang out with lol
ML- THAT is how you showcase a piece of art!
That claptonee rendition of "Everyday People" was a head turner.
But followed directly by "Cocain" certainly reminds me that drug abuse and addiction has become a grave problem for everyday people in America 🇺🇸 😢
Might be the coolest rhytmguitar ever..... :o
The Sly song was great when I heard it on
I/g . . Sounded even better this time . . Going to be amazing at The Viper Room
This has become one of my favorite channels. Great content!
The undisputed looper master and all around great guy...
I just loved your Sly treatment!
Fucks sake man. The middle portion of both pickups, absolutely amazing. I can’t stop watching this video it’s all so good
Michael what a beautiful sound.
Not even Mark played a longer episode of GOTD back in the day. You obviously dig this one, Lemmo!
Such a rad model. I can only hope for an epiphone version one day
Check out the Sorrento that came out a few years ago. It looks more like an es-125TC with mini hums
@@tlister67 No Epiphone can come close to sounding this good.
Me too bro , me too
@@tlister67 that is a sweet guitar. I'm too big of a fan of the casino shape though haha
@@lordjs9726 true, this does sound incredible
What a Gibson, it has it's own voice, unique onto itself.
What a musician ...
This guy has got tone in his fingers! What was the first song? Stones? song titles in the description would be a nice addition.
Second was "Everyday People" by Sly and the Family Stone
SWEET MAGNOLIA
First track is JJ Cale - Magnolia
@@sankeysinner8367 thanks
I was literally just looking at this guitar online the other day, so nice to get to see a video where I get to hear some tasty Lemmo licks!!
How much ?
Everyday People- I felt like I was in a tampon commercial! Lol. Sounds great brother
what a Tone-Monster! Fantastic guitar and playing!!
Beautiful guitar, I don’t know if what he was playing was a song or just playin but it was also beautiful
Mike you are definitely from another life!! Wow!!
John Wilkinson who played rhythm guitar in the TCB band for Elvis from 1969 had one too.
Lemmo you have nothing to be nervous 😟 about playing at the viper room, is 10 dollars 💵 the only charge to go see your show,!!!?? On holly wood boulevard, right I’m way way out in the desert 🏜 north of LA , loll, nice what is all of the rules , or is there any rules !!.??!! Nice can you please let me know thanks BigAl thanks you lemmo.
I specially like the bridge pup, sounds just like BB and Lucille
Gotta be sold after that demo, one of your best Michael!
Dang Lemmo!!! That guitar suits you dude. Buy it!!!!
Awesome guitar! Love hearing some Sly! And then Clapton!! Man that brings back memories!!!
Styling wise, that guitar has some leisure suit and chest hair vibe to it.
But mini-humbuckers are my favorite things!
The clean bits you played were especially lovely.
Very cool.
Another awesome video!! Thanks guys
Mike love your playing always enjoy watching you play sir ..dam son your awesome
A local music store had a Crest and an ES-150D in their window until the early '80's.
Brothers from a different mother.
On time👍
Fantastic guitar and
Shredding👍
I had one of these years back... Great guitars ! Nice work Lemmo !
Uuhh man. Lemmo makes every guitar sounds great
Fantastic guitar and playing ! This made my morning bright and shiny.
Are those mini humbuckers ? Awesome sound !
Love it Lemmo!! God I have a great Viper room story. Can’t wait to hear it
Sweet Gibson 👌 love that wood grain 👌 Another great demo Michael 👍
That guitar has a sweet voice.
Unusual Norlin era guitar.

Beautiful !
GREAT GUITAR....GREAT PLAYER...GREAT VIDEO!!!
That is absolute beauty!
Sounds great I have a Gibson from 1950
I wanna be like lemmo when i grow up.
Fat? Broke?
Great playing and great Guitar !
Lemmo is everyday people...except when he picks up a guitar, then he becomes a prince among paupers! Hats off to some tasty licks today my man! Thanks for making my day!
Terrific playing.
Furniture with soul 🍻
Fire. Again. Every. Time.
I had one of these in the late 70's or early 80's.
Cool guitar.
So beautiful
Master full Mr. Lemmo !!
I could pick that guitar up and play a C chord and it would sound shit. That man is BOSS.
I feel you bro
Lemmo Da Man !! He be jammin !
I need one of these
"Who draws the crowd and plays so loud
Baby it's the guitar man
Who's gonna steal the show
You know, baby, it's the guitar man
He can make you love
He can make you cry
He will bring you down
Then he'll get you high
Somethin' keeps him goin'
Miles and miles a day
To find another place to play
Night after night who treats you right
Baby, it's the guitar man
Who's on the radio
You go listen to the guitar man
Then he comes to town
And you see his face
And you think you might
Like to take his place
Somethin' keeps him driftin'
Miles and miles away
Searchin' for the songs to play
Then you listen to the music
And you sing along
You want to get the meaning
Out of each and every song
Then you find yourself a message
And some words to call your own
And take them home
He can make you love
He can get you high
He will bring you down
Then he'll make you cry
Somethin' keeps him movin'
But no one seems to know
What it is that makes him go
Then the lights begin to flicker
And the sound is getting dim
The voice begins to falter
And the crowds are getting thin
But he never seems to notice
He's just got to find
Another place to play
Either way
Got to play
Either way
Got to play"
Bread✌️
Man. I Dig your playing brother..The Crest is awrsome.Ive always preferred tge block in the middle..but That is one gorgeous guitar. I'd trade my 335 anyday for it...first song STONES ????.
Finally, a unique Gibson model for myself
Yes Jen, that was amazing. That guitar definitely won’t last long. It sounds awesome. Great selections and great playing Lemmo.
There's a guitar that Gibson should reissue- great!
Play some Call me the Breeze with that JJ Cale guitar!
The Guitar sounds Great! WooF!
I wonder how it would sound compared to an es330 with identical pickups. It's unclear how much of the Crests tone comes from the pickups and how much from the Brazilian rosewood laminated to the guitar's top and bottom.
Best I Every Had Every Day People Cocaine : nice versions as always, super playing.
What was that first piece? Very pretty
God blessed this man with a mighty talent and the Wizard uses it to the utmost. Blessings from SA in the wild bush veld.
King of the Ditto ! Lemmo , you are bad ass brother. Man I wish I was in LA and going to see you and the band at the Viper room. Hopefully someone shoots some footage and puts it up on here.
Your the Loop Master Mike...Absolutely awesome! Your a Band by yourself
Dam that things tone is so juicy so much flavor 🤤 nice work 👍
Is Jen gonna be at your show!!!..?? ,! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 nice if she s , nice addition to your show is beautiful t going to be on vlog too, nice 👍 thanks BigAl California.
What’s that first song you played???
Wow this looks like a piece of furniture from your livingroom^^
I can’t find a 🔥 emoji Mikey 🤣🤣🤣 fucking wow son
Cool to see that sense of discovery as he plays something and tries to keep everything sounding good while improvising. Reminds me of Stevie ray vaughn but Stevie always knew what he was gonna do and it was ripping through some licks and striking that strong emotion, he was also amazing on slow stuff too though. I just wonder how good this guy can get and how long he’ll keep doing this show. Love watching wish you the best
What’s the name of the first song? Great playing and great guitar!
JJ Cale - Magnolia
Yup this is that one you sell the car for.
Best yet!
Thanks Mike
Nothing but good tunes from probably one of the coolest guitars I have seen in a long while! Such a brilliant looking guitar! However! Gotta do a Maton!
What’s the first song ?
Nice! Not familiar with that model.
i was quite surprised that he did'nt have any feedback problems when he went distorted .... i always thought those hollow bodies were incredible sounding till you pushed them, then you had to fight feedback ....... am i wrong ????
Turn away from the amp 😆
