    It's that point in the Northeast where we shift from Trout Fishing to the inshore salt water. You timed it just right with this one, Timmy! Its fairly cheap and a quick to tie, being lazy I like that, Oh I forgot I am also cheap, except when it comes to fly fishing.

    Good morning Tim☕️☕️
    Nicely done, I love it and thanks again for all you do😉
    I am waking up the morning after my outpatient total knee replacement. I’m gonna have a lot of time to watch all your new content and go back and review some older ones. Hope you and Joan have a wonderful day.👍

      Joan and I are wishing you a speedy recovery. I've heard that immersing yourself in cool, moving water in an idyllic setting is about the best therapy there is.

      Jim, Joint replacements have given me the ability to go wade fishing and cast from bouncing boats. Physical therapy is critical.

      @@tightlinevideo absolutely it is, and that is my number one goal right now. My surgeon also fishes. And he’s going to get me out there as soon as I can.😉

    In Argentina, sole fishing became very popular, we use very similar patterns as well as other patterns such as deciever, the sole's favorite food is a fish called silverside and we try to imitate them, we use colors like chartouse and red that are very different from the color of the silverside

    This looks like it would work well for tarpon or snook, maybe with lighter eyes. Or tied in olive could be a sculpin imitation. Nice!

    • @tightlinevideo
      @tightlinevideo  Месяц назад +3

      Do be careful using lighter eyes. If you go too light the fly will want to badly cant to the side or ride hook point down.

    They sell this exact fly at Stroud Tackle in San Diego, CA. It's my favorite fly for spotted bay bass and halibut in Mission Bay. My favorite color is red over white.

    Sometime could you do a video about how to sharpen hooks while fishing.

      It is in the works as part of new series we are working on. The series will incorporate more fly fishing tips and techniques, not just tying.

      You can use a Gamakatsu SL11-3H or an Eagle Claw 084A in size 1/0. I tied some on the Gamakatsu hooks and they look fine.

      @@edwardmlotkiewicz2343 a b10s would probably work also and a lil more budget friendly compared to the sl series. not as strong though. I'm a big fan of stinger hooks but maybe the smaller gap might affect hook up rate?

    I could see this catching small mouth and if you added some rubber legs it would be a real small mouth killer.

    toss this into herring balls from a boat and I bet you could find a coho on the end
