It is a beautiful town. My friends took me on the day the priest blessed the horses, then they ride to a shrine, up the mountain. Hi Bill. I know you're trying to do your search engine optimization but it would be really helpful for those of us that occasionally want to go back and re-view some of your videos if you could put a description in the title and description related to the specific video. If I wanted to go back and search for this video, for example, I would probably put something like Ixtlahuacan in the search and it probably wouldn't turn up much. I have also ran into people interested in Nueva Chapala and I have directed them to your channel but I think they're probably going to have a rough time finding the videos where you talked about your old home. I know your trying to link into those Gringo retirement bucks but maybe there's some middle-ground as far as SEO is concerned. :)

Hi Sheila, You won´t have a problem with your pets. I would say that most people will let you have pets. You won´t have to pay more. Most places have great internet. Join some Facebook groups for cities in Mexico, Search for something like, ¨Expats Puerto Vallarta, or Expats Guadalajara,¨ and as people questions. Also it depends on how much Spanish you know. I you don´t know Spanish, you might want to start in Ajijic. Lots of Expats there and you can speak a minimum of Spanish and make lots of friends fast. Best, Bill
I've been to lakeside twice up and down the North shore of Lake chapala, it's a wonderful place to visit and I love my time there and the people the food the entire atmosphere, but people need to remember when you leave the United States you leave your constitutional rights behind you and to me that is everything.
Which rights are they exactly because we find Mexico to be a much freer country than the USA. Have you ever read the Mexican Constitution? Its one reason why we live here now as South Carolina you have a one in three chance of spending time in jail even for wealthy residents which is the majority of our retirement town. The USA puts more of its citizens in I prison than any other nation in the world. Oh yea not to mention taking away womens rights to their bodies. Yet Mexico has given women those rights. Unfortunately certain groups are trying to turn america into a racist fascist country. Our neigjbors had to leave Arizona because their neighbors were recruiting for the Jan. 6 insurrection. They were so frightened by the violent behavior they moved to Ajijic Mexico for the freedom we have to express our beliefs without fear of persecution.
How so? Are you renouncing your citizenship? That's not necessary. And what we've always believed to be our constitutional rights are being rapidly eroded. Anyway, I guess I don't always feel so privileged when I'm in America, even though a citizen, but since we pay taxes wherever we go -- they do still have an interest in protecting us citizens abroad, too.

Bias confirmation. I saw masked and unmasked people.
If you call a place paradise you can kiss it goodbye.
Yeap, I´m from Ohio and my 2nd wife was from LA. We would go to visit her parents for Christmas. On New Years day, on TV, they would show the Rose Bowl parade. Her dad would always get upset because the weather for the parade was always perfect and it was January. He would get upset because people would see the great weather and they would move to LA.

I have a question. I want to move to Mexico but I have a seeing eye dog I am partially cited legally blind. Do they allow seeing eye dogs in some Mexico towns?
Hi Linda,
In Mexico, you can take your dog anywhere you want. I would think you would want a place with minimal cobblestones like the town of the video you watched or maybe Mazatlan.
Best,
Bill
He is correct, Mexico is very dog friendly! Much more so than in the U.S. including most lodging and hotels.
Very bad camera work, it is hard on my eyes when you move the camera so much. What camera do you use?
Hi Gipsy, Thank you for your comment. Camera work can be difficult. I use a Canon m50. Best, Bill
Very good, I will work on that.
Thanks,
Bill
What town?
The name of the town is ixtlahuacan. I have practiced saying it, but I am not good at it.
First 😊
As Always
Where is a good place to live for a single female with pets. I am willing to pay more if needed for my pets. I will need a place to develop friendships and good internet. Thanks
Hi Sheila,
You won´t have a problem with your pets.

Bill
I've been to lakeside twice up and down the North shore of Lake chapala, it's a wonderful place to visit and I love my time there and the people the food the entire atmosphere, but people need to remember when you leave the United States you leave your constitutional rights behind you and to me that is everything.
Hi Mtradz,
Thanks for the comment, yeap, it´s a great place. I am sure you are glad that you made the trip.
Best,
Bill
Which rights are they exactly because we find Mexico to be a much freer country than the USA. Have you ever read the Mexican Constitution? Its one reason why we live here now as South Carolina you have a one in three chance of spending time in jail even for wealthy residents which is the majority of our retirement town. The USA puts more of its citizens in
I prison than any other nation in the world.
Hi Bill good morning nice place what are he name I will love to visit there soon thank you 🙏
Ixtlahuacan, Jalisco.
Hola Clara, yes, a very nice place. Come on down
Ixtlahuacán de Los Membrillos
Stop saying cheap.it is rude and disrespectful to us Mexicans.
Ok, no problem, sorry.
Es una ganga.
Yeeee, it is politically "incorrect" Sir. Cheap is good and affordable to beat inflations.
I am just curious why someone from Mexico is watching a video like this? :)
@@SirenaSpades Hi Sirena, people from all over the world watch my videos, and many are Mexicans that have not traveled much through Mexico. They want to learn more about their country.
Best,
Bill
I'm coming down there in September 2022 middle of the month For 2 weeks I'd like to contact you there in person about town of ixtlahuacan mex,go with someone to get there or taxi. David.d
Hi David,
I have moved to Mazatlan, I have been here for almost 3 weeks now, but you can get a taxi to that place for about $7 US, it is only about 20 minutes from Ajijic, if that or 10 minutes from Chapala. The place is very quiet and clean and the people are very friendly.
Come on Down!!!! Best, Bill
Thanks!
Hi Gary,
Thank so much for your donation. That goes a long way down here as you know.
Best,
Bill
