Just opening my window after a "down" day (45 hour fast) with pepitas, pistachios and cheese stick. I have been following this channel for almost a year. As of this morning, I am down 51 pounds! I do mostly OMAD, but NEVER restrict myself from any type of foods. I literally have dessert EVERY day! Thank you Jackie!!!!! Your channel (along with your recommended reading of Fast, Feast, Repeat) has CHANGED MY LIFE FOREVER!!!! FREEDOM FROM FOOD!!!!!
@@godsamazing2090 best answer is to read FAST FEAST REPEAT by Gin Stephens. There is scientific thing that happens when you do - autophagy is the main thing - the book explains it much better than I can! PS > Love your YTube name!!!
A little off topic but . . . Now that I’m about 10 months into fasting, the best part is craving protein and veggies and not craving carbs. Gin Stephens describes appetite correction which I did not believe, but here I am craving roasted Brussels sprouts!
Craving protein and veg instead of carbs is something to look forward to. I haven't heard about appetite correction. My copy of " Fast, Feast, Repeat" was delivered today, so I'll be settling down for a good read after dinner.
Oh boy, looking at this months grocery shopping I have been piling vegetables and actually enjoying my Greek yogurt that I used to end up always throwing in the trash. I also did not know about appetite correction. I’ve been doing OMAD for 8 months now. I love it. This is sustainable for me.
I'm not an OMAD'er but I do practice Alternative Day Fasting (36 hours fasting every other day). I love the freedom, and simplicity, that this lifestyle offers. I don't count calories, nor do I limit food groups. I eat as much of whatever I want for my 12-hour eating window. Once the window is closed; back to fasting for 36 hours; rinse and repeat.
I did ADF and lost 30 lbs and then stalled - and was cold, losing my hair!....have gone to OMAD with a one hour eating window - eating whatever I want (even stuffing myself sometimes as Im learning to listen to my sense of being satisfied) and am losing weight again, am warm and hair loss slowing down. I think OMAD is a great way to learn how to relate to food as fuel and not be governed by your belly....but still appreciate all the wonderful flavors and tastes of food. Thanks for your channel!
I tried OMAD several years ago and was on the one plate mentality. I didn't last long at all! Now I decided to do what feels right (eating to satiety) and sticking to a calorie deficit for weightloss. And I'm almost one month in and feeling great! ❤
I don’t even do OMAD- I do ADF- but I just love your videos! 😘 I treat my eat days like you treat your eating window. I do what I want. Simple- no counting- just feast and fast. Thanks for sharing your experience!!
Hi Jackie! I love your simple approach. I’ve been applying it since January. I’m down 21lbs! Woohoo! I’m working my way around to reading the suggested books, but I want you to know I love your videos. It’s inspiring to see a regular person with a regular diet applying OMAD. I started using the ZERO app as well. I really like it. It gives me accurate fasting hours. I was able show my husband how long I fasted.. he said wow you really fasted 25hrs lol.. I’m definitely flexing the fasting muscle. I saw some say it makes you crave more protein and veggies. It’s definitely true. I was stuck on grilled chicken and Brussels sprouts for 2 weeks lol!
Man, that was a good video. I’m totally on track. I’m a faster for about 3 months. I now know how to fast. Now I’m working on tweaking my foods. I’m taking “eating what you want” a bit too far. Reeling it in a little. It’ll all come together in time. Thanks for what you do and your constant support for us out here trying to live a healthier lifestyle.❤
Same here. I have been fasting for 5 months and feel that I still overeat during may eating window. I feel that I want to eat everything I see when I open my fast. I have to sit down and really start tweaking the foods that I eat.
I love you! You are so funny, clear, easy to understand and kind. I so appreciate your channel. It is one of the major helps in my journey with IF. Keep up the great work!
8.40pm to 9.40pm. I had homemade leek and potato soup, half a cucumber, a kiwi, a apple, 600 cal pizza and a mini cheesecake. Ate them all together. Apart from the cheesecake. I had that for my pudding. 😅😅
i keep OMAD simple as possible , love this WOL , cant understand peoples need to complicate things 🤦♀ its working brilliantly for me so far , if it stops working i will 'tweak' it till it does work- simples 😊 thanks for the video Jackie x
Hi Jackie 👋 Absolutely love your page 🥰 I have a question. Have you made any content about hormones and fasting? I'm struggling with certain times of the month where my hormones go insane & throw all my fasting progress out the window 😔 Just looking for a little advice on this topic.
Hi Jackie - like ur version of OMAD as I couldn't shove a ton of food in an hour. I have 2 meals in 8 hours plus fruits if I can fit in but in essence its OMAD as my 1st meal is quite small. I love this way of eating & the freedom to eat what u want without counting anything is great. I am counting my protein for the time being as I dont eat enough & I also want to eat more plant based - that's it. I am looking fwd to my 1st spring & summer as I want to lose weight then. So far using OMAD has maintained my weight over Christmas My Birthday & Easter. So happy as ive worked out that these periods of year i gain & never get off - well not anymore thanks to you for sharing your journey 🙏🏽🙌🏾👍🏾
this is a great video and I love your videos in general. May I ask if the weight loss was slow or fast in the beginning? I'm trying to learn to be patient and consistent. my aim is to lose 15 to 20 pounds. What was your weight loss progress like in terms of weekly or monthly loss?
If you're doing OMAD and reach your desired weight what do you do? -Continue eating that way with the thought that you might lose too much weight? -Maybe go to 2 meals a day?
I eat OMAD with the same calorie/macro goals daily even now in maintenance vs losing mode. However because I fast this way everyday it allows me the flexibility to occasionally not fast or to eat more during vacations or social activities. Works like a charm! I plan to do this to maintain my 60 lb weight loss for the rest of my life! ❤
Well I have started but I eat at noon and at 5pm . I eat healthy and am feeling better . No sugar has been hard but doable . I’m drinking more water and have small portions for now . Will try to get to OMAD but this is a good start for now .
Love how you said what you said ❣️🎉❤ You are stating what has worked for you and your plan for your now❣️🎉❤ If someone wants to imitate and it works for them, good if not, this is your experience. You are just sharing❣️ I am here to ask a very personal question because I am blessed to have a young daughter who struggles just as I. I see you are blessed with two lovely daughters. How do we possibility show them that at this point of their lives they should not do or imitate us ? That they are too young to do this. ? I have sharing this with her doctor. Because I truly need to loss weight this way. I have been told by my own doctor not to exercise, just diet.
Hi Jackie. At my goal weight. Started with Keto and now doing OMAD but my problem is Im bingeing. Its 2 weeks of OMAD but bingeing. Im only happy and satisfied when I feel stuffed only then my urge to continue eating shuts off. My OMAD looks like this Huge salad followed by Protein with Veg followed by Chips and salsa, then ,2 cups frozen berries with huge handful of date sweetened HU brand chocolate chips.
Thank you for reminding me about all of this. I know all this. Got more rigid this week and it's not working. Thought I could speed up the weightloss. Take care. Myrna.
Wondering if you have read Circadian Code by Dr Satchin Panda. I know you like to read. I've got it on hold through my library, but read a sample. It looks amazing!
I started intermittent fasting using Gin Stephens Feast fast and repeat and 28 day Fast Start, after the first week I went one meal a week, not day 83, I have lost 53.8 pounds, several video for fasting for more than 24 hours, do you recommend 36 or 48 hour fasts. I do like you view on OMAD.
Hi Jackie, your videos are helping me on my journey so much Thank You!! I'm on day 6,fasting between 18 and 28 hours a day so far. It's been incredibly easy for me. I'm reading Fast, Feast, Repeat as well! I'm curious as to when you started to see the scale move? I know Gin says give it 28 days. I'm curious what you experienced there. I haven't seen any change on the scale but I sure feel great! Thank you!
I’m a making a video comment too, but basically I followed her advice and didn’t weigh for the first 28 days. At the end of that, I had lost 4lbs. I would really encourage you if you are feeling good, keep up with that feeling and let the scale follow. Not everyone loses weight right away.
Could you please let us know which sweat shirt blanket you wear? I'm always freezing in the morning. Your videos are very informative and inspiring. Thank u!
This sounds perfect for me! I love food too but feel I overeat at lunch and dinner when I'm not tracking calories because I love the feeling of being full but overall, that puts me over my calorie expenditure for the day. (I've been tracking calories every day for about a year and finally lost a bunch of weight and it's the only thing that has worked for me so far but I always crave sweets in excess!) I'm thinking of changing things up and trying this OMAD for dinner or maybe lunch sometimes, but the only thing that wouldn't work for me is not to have the milk in my coffee in the morning!!
You can have heavy cream in your coffee and not break your fast. No other creamer or milk. I know it’s weird but research it. Hope that helps I’m new to all this but that is my understanding.
When I started OMAD 3 yrs ago, I thought it meant one meal in a one hour eating window. That's the way Omad Revolution guy taught it. Now I'm just doing The Warrior, which is a 4 hr eating window. I usually do one meal or two in that window, and then I'm fasting 20 plus hours a day. Now, if I can be consistent and stick to it, maybe I will lose weight 😅😂😅. The fact that you've been doing what works for you consistently for over 900 days just shows that if we stick to a good plan long enough, we will see results.

I try to do them 1/week. But the day varies each week. I was much more rigid when losing weight. In maintenance I’m not as rigid about 1/week. You can do them more often if you like them!
