Thanks Doc! I completely changed my diet six months ago based on nationally recommended guidelines, but it only made my health worse. It wasn’t until I read 'The 23 Former Doctor Truths' that I realized doing the opposite of what the government advises can actually make a difference. No wonder the doctor who wrote it left their career-speaking the truth often challenges the system!

After watching a number of your videos over the past few months, I have changed my diet: cutting out seed oils as much as possible, buying healthy bread, avoiding packaged/processed food (protein bars), opting for organic and whole foods as much as I can, largely cutting out sugar/baked goods, saying no to take-out, etc...
I feel much better, less brain fog, more energy, lower inflammation. I'm still considered young but I put my body through a lot in my life and have a high stress load so I want my health to be immaculate as possible. I still have a lot of work to do mentally and physically.
Thank you for all you do.

I love how you integrated stoicism into your video about improving our health. Personally, I'd love to hear more of that, especially your interpretation of stoicism and how it benefits our health. I'm beginning to learn more about stoicism and see how much I can live up to its ideals to ameliorate my mental health effectively as an adjunct to the mainstream ways. I like your 5-step approach because I feel like they're more doable. I like to accomplish goals in steps, sometimes even baby steps. Otherwise, they seem too overwhelming and almost impossible if not impossible to achieve. I, for example, have to work on #2: the walking goal; then, the one on saying no to one temptation is one that I could probably do, though it's not easy since I have ADHD, and I'm ruled by a dopamine deficiency. Then, the one about using my mobile phone less doesn't apply to me as far as social media. I don't really engage in the social media apps since I don't socialise that way. The one social media app I use a lot, but for researching topics, informational purposes, and sometimes for music only is RUclips. For example, I often watch your videos and some other health related videos. The 5th one that incorporates stoicism is probably the most challenging one because usually I'm easygoing, except when someone is rude, tries to hurt or attack me, or pushes my buttons. Then, I tend to react emotionally, whether it's outwardly or within myself. But, I really believe the stoics are correct in that we can't control external events, but we can control how we react to them. I think I can maybe manage controlling my reaction at least once a day, I hope!

What is bad for my health in my knowledge and from learning, never have an impact on my craving .
I don't crave anything bad in my life, but addicted to the good things that are beneficial to my health.
I drag myself daily to walk daily, long hour walk in the sun, in the cold.
I drag myself 4 days a week to the lap pool, rain or shine.
The day I miss i feel uneasy, angry of myself for the excuse not doing my routine.
What all this called? ADDICTION. The only things i am addicted to.
Am 72, no prescription neded, no vaccines of any kind, i even forgot my doctor name as not seeing him for a long time.
Take care of yourself, keep an active life, cook your own meals. Being healthy is simple like that.

I agree with you that it is expensive but I don’t understand why. You would think that the fewer ingredients a product has the cheaper the price would be. 😮 Remember the early 1970s when unleaded gasoline was introduced? It was more expensive than the gasoline that had lead in it. People couldn’t understand why unleaded gasoline was not cheaper than the gasoline that was leaded. Same thing. 😮

Amen. 🙏 I do micro workouts throughout the day. Seeking opportunities, stairs, stretching...
Stoicism, too. Your reaction to life's insults and injustices. Don't let them win.💪🙏

Great video!! Thankfully I am doing most of your list already, but always good to get a reminder!! I, too, park further away from store entrances, because I love to walk and also to try to avoid getting dinged!! Just had my annual well check and praise be to God, I am in good shape!! I love my DO!! He supports my choices not to vaccinate and not to mindlessly do screenings. I am on no medications and I hope to keep it that way! Again, thanks for another great and useful video!! Pass it on to family and friends!!

I was buying soy sauce yesterday and was shocked at how many had high fructose syrup in them! In SOY SAUCE! So, yes, reading labels is essential. Also, my knees are problematic making walking uncomfortable BUT I've started using a seated elliptical trainer for about 10minutes 3 x day and I'm already finding an improvement in my knees and ability to walk! It's easy to find 10 minutes while multi-tasking by listening to something valuable - like this video! *THANKS DR DHAND!!*

Good stuff, Im not a stoic, but I either impliment or mean to implement these things. I just found out that flavored nuts often have seed oils, but the unflavored don't. I'm assuming it's the cheapest way to adhere rhe seasonings. So I plan to experiment wirh olive oil and my own seasoning. I have a BPA free pump sprayer for oils etc. I also add fruit juices to carbonated water and make dipping sauces out of mayo (I know...seed oils) and sour cream. Oh snd ALDI has a clean and cheap sourdough loaf.
I try to go against my instincts with my panic disorder, but it really is hard to go against my body when it's acreaming at me.
