THIS! I want to learn so bad only cuz I just paid over a hundred dollars for passion twists that are falling apart day 4. And I was sitting at that salon since 10am and wasn’t started till 2pm. It’s too expensive and the quality and experience is so bad it’s gonna force me to learn how to do my own hair. I fixed my passion twists myself and now I feel motivated to teach myself this summer how to do my own hair ❤️

Same girly , nobody paid for me to get my hair done the salon was my auntie and when she started half doing it only in 8th grade I had to learn how to do my own hair . Now I’m 22 and so grateful because I can do any hairstyle in my head without coming out of pocket for it 👍🏾

When I say i relate to redoing a hairstyle hours into the game lol thats me all day.
I went from my mother to my older sister, always doing my hair, and then I was locked for almost 12/13 years in early ish adulthood 🥰. So I cut my locs off in October 2022 ❤ I went to get my hair done twice, but after the second time, I decided to just start doing my own hair and BABY 👀 on the struggle bus 😂 when I tell you 😂 but i had the same attitude 😂 I don’t know why I decided to start my hair at 11 PM last night. I did not finish until 4:15 AM this morning that look that you had gave at the end that that was me 😂 so I said a lot of that to say I am just starting to really enjoy being able to do my own hair and try things that I see. So thank you so much for the inspirations. It’s been so cool and a pleasure to be able to see your content Thank you so much.❤❤❤

I understand the feeling, I do my own hair all of the time, and it takes me hours; sometimes a couple of days even, depending on how my toddler acts lol 😂.
I felt this. By the time I was in middle school I started learning how to braid my own hair cause I love me some braids. There are still things I have to learn but I have only gotten better as time has gone by 😭😫 it came out beautifully!! 🩷🩷🩷

I’m right with you on that, I had to teach myself so many things growing up out of necessity. I’m even teaching myself to do my own nails now. Saving my money 💰 for better things. Period.

I total understand you learning how to do you her out of necessity. My mom was not able to take me to the beautician and she did not know how to do hair at all. She had me looking crazy with 4c texture hair. I had to learn how to braid hair at 5 years old by myself. By the age of 10 I master braids. I would use females as “Guinea pigs” so that I can learn how to master other styles. When you don’t have the financial means to look “Fly” you will be surprised what you can do at a Thrift store and a beauty supply store.
