Hi, Diane, I used to do this, while I was working, but lost this habit after retiring. I'll do it again...in Germany we say: the last shirt has no pockets;-), so I'll really go shopping in my closets and drawers, thank you for inspiring me! Love, Monika❣

Great video Diane. I am a similar age to you and you have completely changed the way I think about my outfits after watching all your clothes decluttering. I am enjoying my wardrobe again. Also my house is looking tidier 🙂
Great video and great outfits - I'm going to do this. I'm retired but it's so easy to get in the casual mode and forget all those pretty things we have in the closet. I love clothes and I can tell you do too. This is going on my list to do!!

Thanks Diane. I went to work once with two different shoes! Same colour but different heel height. I did wonder why i was 'limping' 😄
phyllisj73 I once went to work with two different boots as well. A brown pair and a black pair and I was limping as well. 🤣
I was at a homeschool gym day with my son years ago. Was talking to the moms and didn't realize till I got home I had two different posts earrings on. One silver, one gold. Lol
Haha - I thougt I was the only one wearing wrong shoes/socks/earrings. Puha - there are more and that makes me feel good. :)

I just watched your "virtual retreat" a couple of days ago Diane, ( such a fun idea by the way!) and I do recall you asking to lay out 4 outfits.. At the time I thought it was part of planning for a "holiday" that we imagined the virtual retreat to be... So I suppose, we can treat ever week as a "virtual holiday" and plan our outfits for our trip..:)

Another great video, Diane! I once saw a suggestion to snap a selfie and/or take pics of your outfits and store them on your phone in a folder because we can tend to forget what we wore together or accessories we used. I thought that was a great idea so is queuing up your outfits! Thanks for the inspiration! You always look so lovely!

I did this last week, it has helped so much to know what I have, my son took the pictures. I printed them up and put them in a folder. Now I flip through to what I want to wear. The reason I did this is because I was wearing PJ's a lot at home and promised myself that I would get dressed. Thanks for suggesting this!

That is an awesome idea - not sure why I never thought of that, I did that for closet organization, and for my pantry - once it was cleaned up perfectly, I took a picture, so I can always remember where to put things - of course that could be modified for clothing as well. I have some chronic illnesses that give me brain fog, and make it hard to remember things at times, so any visual cue is helpful. Thanks, Erica - blessings!
These outfit videos are BEYOND helpful! Thanks! I have been setting out 4 outfits at a time and it definitely helps with the unpredictable weather in Hamburg and also helps with however I am feeling at the time or anything that pops up that I need to change for. Thanks again Diane!

Hello Diane. So logical, setting up a few outfits from the wardrobe to see what your favorites are. Such nice outfits you have. You are setting the bar high my lovely. I have never put my jackets over the dresses or blouses in the wardrobe. I shall try this to complete the outfit. People are already saying I look nice, and it's usually followed by the comment " Are you going out"? hahaha

Yes! The weather has been so unpredictable that's it's difficult to pick one outfit that will work all day. Yesterday it was 53 degrees in the morning and 83 degrees by afternoon. Great idea to que up more than one option.

So enjoyed this bright &happy video, Diane. :) :) I am not quite there (yet) with the outfit laying-out. If you peeked in my closet you would surely laugh and say, 'This girl has no clothes to speak of, hmmm, how can this be workable?!" haha So, yesterday I was on a mission and visited the "zara" website and treated myself to a new top that was red and white striped for only 15.99 US dollars, although, that is still a good amount of money to me. I must find a good thrift shop that has Zara clothing because I have discovered that I love the flowery, feminine styles. Our dd17 knew of the "Zara" brand. Imagine that?! Happy Day to you :) So much inspiration you have given once again.
Hee hee, Zara is the way to go...whatever your age!
I think this is my final week for the yard. Snow is coming in. It is time to put the summer in back of the shed and put our winter equipment in the front.

I love this idea, but so far it doesn't work the same for me. My best adaptation is to have my usual "work at home" clothes, which need to be a bit "rough and tumble" as I garden and train dogs ( get both dirty and sweaty).... and have a "going out in public" outfit ready to change into when I get my work done and need to go shopping or out to lunch. I do need to upgrade some of my outfits and add some medium-nice things that go together well... and for different weather! WHY is it that I might have a summer outfit or cold weather outfit, but the in-between weather is where I am lacking! I will "shop in my closet" to see if I can find things to layer.
Yay, shopping in your own closet is the way to go!

Do you swim before your morning routine?
My Morning Routine is usually done before my swim. If I am swimming very early, then I complete my MR as soon as I get home...no excuses! LOL
