I had the best damn view i'd ever had at riverfire, solo'd half way up the kangeroo point cliffs with my rockclimbing shoes. The jets flew right over us.

@TributeToTesla For what its designed to do ( low altitude penetration at high speed) Its probably STILL one of the best aircraft for the job. It has a longer range , its faster and it carries more ordinence than the Superhornet. It has a better gorund following radar than the superhornet, the only reason were not using them anymore in the cost of mantaining them. I suggest you do a little research before making comments like that again.
Celebrating Brisbane and celebrating our RAAF's airpower.. Nothing could be better. Even though the F111's are outdated, Im sure that our brand new super-hortnets will suffice ;)
Haha we don’t celebrate American independence in Australia. River fire is an annual celebration that takes place in Brisbane every year as part of BrisFest which is held in about September.
We watched from my dad's work. It was great - we were nearly eye-level with them!
