"We're allowed to eat these animals but we're to treat them with kindness."
Wow. Can nobody see the contradiction here?

JoeRock and MrFF39...Umm it`s pretty obvious guys.
You both (for some reason) are thinking that if someone eats animals then he is cruel to animals ? what a strange statement. You can eat meat and still treat animals with kindness.
Take me for example, I hunt Rabbits because they`re out of control on some farms so I`m needed to keep them down. I eat the Rabbits I catch, or donate them to family to eat.
Now with that in mind, I spend many hours ensuring that my kit is up together and functioning in perfect order so I make good, ethical clean kills. Somebody that is cruel to animals does not concern themselves with this. They don`t care about an animals suffering., they just shoot at it and couldn`t care less if its injured or harmed.
The same with a farmer, a farmer could raise his animals with kindess and care all their lives before they`re slaughtered because he cares about how they feel, another farmer that doesn`t will have no concern about how they feel and will treat them with cruelty. Both farmers are killing, yet both treat them differently, one cares, one doesn`t.
      It`s very simple.
I love animals, Rabbits too! but I have a job to do and one that has bad consequences if I do not carry it out.
The other day my son and I were driving along and I saw a baby rabbit in the road, so fearing for its safety I got out and calmly picked it up, and took it to a safer area where it wouldn`t be hit by a car, we then said a prayer asking that God protect the little Rabbit and steer it from harm. You see, I treated it with kindness because I love the animal, I had no need for food or pest control so I had nothing but kindness for it, and when I have to hunt I MUST have a clean shot to the head that the quary knows absolutely nothing about it, just lights out. This again is due to my concern for the animal, I don`t want it to suffer.

      MrFF39
Yeah you`re correct, I apologise for coming accross that way. I`m a Christian but perfect I am not, only Jesus was perfect. Please forgive my aggressive tone on my last comment.
Let me explain better as to why I don`t think you understood me. You seem to have concluded that the act of killing is unkind, therefore anyone that does it is unkind to animals. There is no logic to this, because an animal can only be a benneficiary of kindness while it lives out its life, not at the point of death.
To kill in itself is not always a kind act, though it is at times, but when you treat animals well when you aren`t forced to kill one, that makes you kind to animals. Otherwise, what does it make someone? a man owns a heard of Cows, he treats them like loved pets, then one day he has to kill one for meat, but the others remain. Is he unkind to animals now that he killed one of the Cows?

      MrFF39
      Good, thanks.
But that is what Hugh is saying? I don`t think he advocated the killing for trophies? ( which I too find repugnant), but rather the killing for food or essentials like clothing in wild conditions?
But I still can`t find in your reply an answer to the dilema I set in the analogy of the Farmer and his cows, is the farmer cruel or kind to animals?

The other planet you are going to be moving to is called Heaven. There you will find, not a trace of animal suffering. Suffering will not exist on any level once there. But I do feel for you. I too cannot deal with animals suffering. GOD created every animal with the same capacity as humans, to Love and feel pain. Animals feel stress. Look, here is the deal ! There is so much more pain in this world, than there is peace and joy. No matter how happy you are, no matter how much love and money you have, it is temporary. Because, it’s just a matter of time, you will feel pain. Mental ! Physical ! You will hurt. Our world SUCKS ! Here is the Good News -
JESUS, HEAVEN, WE SHALL BE THERE WITH HIM AND OUR LOVED ONES AND OUR SWEET, INNOCENT, LOVED ANIMALS ✝️❤✝️❤✝️❤

"human society should protect the animal’s right to live. The animal killers do not know that in the future the animal will have a body suitable to kill them. That is the law of nature. All those involved in killing, consenting the killing, helping the killing, carrying, selling, buying, cooking and eating the meat of an animal are equally sinful as the killing of that animal." Kindly read The Bhagavad-Gītā As It Is, please. Hare KRSNA.

Very nice. Even Jesus Christ preached kindness. Meat eating was allowed when there was nothing to eat, like in Noah time. But today's world, maintaining slaughter houses and claiming that Jesus gave authority to kill everything is absurd. Hare Krishna

    I am a Christian,
    God never wanted animal sacrifices.
Sorry, but it is so CIRCULAR in argument and reasoning.
And No, I do not believe in the foreshadowing arguments for the sacrifices.
As you mentioned, NONE of these sacrifices created Atonement.
There are several Bible verses that CLEARLY show, that God wanted our hearts to turn towards Him.
If we were HORRIFIED, then we would have stopped after the first sacrifice....... I DID !!!!!!!!

Hugh Ross nothing you said, regarding eating animals, is in the Bible. God NEVER intended for us to eat animals as long as we are kind to them. This is just not true. God's intention for the animals is found in Isaiah 11:6-8
The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling [a] together; and a little child will lead them. 7 The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox. 8 The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. This is his intention. We live in a fallen world, and the world is not the way God intended.
And your statement as long as we are kind to animals and treat them kind its ok to kill and eat them. Please tell me how to kill an animal kindly.

    • @samspeaks2016

I agree killing animals is violent and potentially wrong but God designed these animals to kill. He killed and skinned animals himself to give to Adam and Eve when exiled from the garden of Eden. God gave us the dietary laws on how to prepare and eat clean animals. It's incorrect to say it wasn't intended, it clearly was. The real question is why? This I agree with you and I don't know and am seeking but let's make sure to get the question right so self conscious "religious authorities" like these can stop wasting time talking in circles to feel good about themselves. We need to understand the nature of God for ourselves to make our own choices to follow and serve the "real" one true God.
