- This is the new Brabus G 900 Rocket Edition! Brabus are only making 25 of the monstrous G Wagon featuring the 900hp 4.5l Biturbo V8, along with carbon fibre widestar body package and a whole new interior. Join me for a first look and a drive on the drag strip - you'll be surprised!
After launching the Brabus Rocket 900 on the AMG GT 4-door last year, the ethos and insanity has now transferred into the G63 from AMG. You could call it the supercar of off-roaders thanks to the incredible power and torque, but also finished with such a high level interior as has come to be known from Brabus.
The engine has been rebuilt from the standard 4.0l Biturbo V8 to 4.5 litres, and taking power to 900hp (from 585hp) in the process and torque up to 1,250Nm (from 850Nm) - although it's limited to protect the gearbox and other components.
For the biggest surprise though, it's the run down the drag strip and the ludicrous acceleration achieved by the Brabus G 900 Rocket; completing the 0-100km/h (62mph) sprint in a mere 3.4s... a figure that makes very little sense considering the size and weight of the car. However, that's the Brabus way, doing it in style!
After a full look at the new car, it's an opportunity to give it a run and get a feel for what it's about. And what a car it is!

@@andyclark3491 first, it was a joke. Second, building a better engine, rocket, chemical ect. isn't inherently bad. What the regime does with that technology is the crime. Zyklon B is the gas they used in the concentration camps and it was 20 year old back stock of a pesticide the Bayer (yeah the aspirin folks) company had laying around. It wasn't developed to do anything nefarious.

That’s really impressive for a vehicle that weight. You could see the tire tracks where that Black Brabus G900 took off down the track fighting to keep traction. I would like to see one of these on a prepped drag strip to see what kind of 1/4 mile times they would turn. I’m guessing high 11 seconds in the 1/4 mile.

I had there unexpected pleasure coming home in the early hours, when came along side me was a Brabus 700 widestar. I was in my Mercedes CLS we had a bit of a play on Mexican streets, Yes they handle corners as hard as acceleration. The sound we next to it on full pull is something I'll never forget. However a 900 ROCKET 🚀 that a different universe ✨️ 👌 Great review Tim 👍

Others make modification BUT BRABUS makes ART! With empty tank and without uphill and dry track it can easily does 3.0 sec dead and that is out of this world. I dont even mention those details inside and outside of the car… My ultimate dream is having a Brabus SLR. They just take the best cars and make them even BETTER 💨

When people tune a Ferrari twin turbo V8 ( ie. the Boden autohaus 488 PISTA or the RDBLA liberty walk straight pipe 488 gtb) does the power band still have that same “naturally aspirated feeling for a twin turbo” or does changing the software make it feel more like a traditional twin turbo where the power comes in at once?
