I had a fitting today and was able to hit the F9, M5 & M6 along with the G400 Max, G410. I quickly learned that the G400/G410 had the forgiveness I needed and the look I wanted. During the fitting your videos became a topic of discussion. My fitter said, and I agree, that you guys are doing a great service to fitters and golfers alike by the way you explain the nuances of the fitting process, your presentation of information and the application to the golfer (Matt). Because of your informative videos coupled with my experience last March this fitting was much improved. The interaction with my fitter and the end results were better than I expected. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Very excited about the driver reviews coming out. I am in the market for a low spin driver and your videos have convinced me about the importance of getting fit. TXG is doing a great job. Thanks!
PING ist just a really superb Driver brand. Every other brand makes lot of advertisement and "wohoo" when a new driver comes out, but PING makes just awesome products. They are easy to hit, foregiving and very consistant of the face - no special thing like "jailbreak technology" or "flashface" - just a nice, clean and awesome Driver.
OMG.. so I get rushed through a fitting for a G410, to be honest I wasn't swinging my best. SS 103, single digit launch, leaking a few to the right. So I leave there with a G410SFT , with a Tensi 70gram shaft. Next morning , off to the Track ..... major disappointment... I couldn't even find my club head, terrible driver for me... So now, the last situation I ever would want to be in.. returning a Driver you already hit. I never wanted to be that guy. I've been playing a G400Max with a pingtour 65 and it's been good. I'm 59years old and just wanted 15 more yards... UUURge !!! Love this channel ... wish you guys were closer!!!
Hi guys. I hit the g410 plus came from the max. My numbers spin rate came way down hit it great love this club i hit the 9 degree set at 8. Cant wait till i recieve it in a few weeks best driver i hit easily
Good review! Ball speed was interesting to see! As always, I love watching Matt hit stuff if for no other reason than I know it's available in lefty if he's hitting it! :0)
I'm currently doing well with G400 LST and I don't think I would be changing it anytime soon. It would be great to see this G410 Plus up against G400 Max though.
Note to myself and others. Do not use a tensei orange in TX flex unless you hit it like Matty and have his speeds. 106-110 mph maybe just move along to another shaft, lol. I joke, I know transition and other factors go along with shaft flex and fitting. I’m just going on pure ball speed from Matty. Great video again for you guys.
Already had my fit with the ping rep 2 days ago. I had similar results to the cobra f9 speedback. But the Ping 3 wood LST and hybrids were the most impressive. Just waiting on the quote and then to win the lottery🏒💰💲💲
Great video once again guys. The G410 plus is very consistent in regard to the Range lineup position compared to the G400 Range last year. The G400 standard last year had similar spin numbers. I have seen nothing as yet to make me re-think my first initial feeling, that the new 410 LST will be everything that the G400 LST was last year and more. It will be perfect timing Matt as it will give you some time to heal before that bad boy comes to market!! By the way Matt, I know we, and Ian, on the outside seem to treat you like a swing robot, with Ian asking you to “dance monkey dance” 5-7 times a week for our pleasure, but we do love and appreciate ya mate, even though it seems like we may have broken you a little from over use! We wish you a quick and safe recovery champion 😀 thanks once again guys
Great initial review. Can't wait to see what happens when you optimize it. Would be interesting to see how it compares to G400 max at mere mortal swing speeds, although I'm always curious by the how far can Matt hit it this time show.
Great stuff guys , Always happy to see you're unbiased testing, having said that you guys were that excited about the 410. Hopefully the lst model might get Matt to bomb it 360 yards . Thanks to you guys I am now a Cobra F9 gamer !!
Ok gents, as always a very informative "natural" test. That said,, when Matty was hitting the 3-wood, some clubhead loft and lie adjustment where made, so why was this not done on the 410 Plus (the only adjustment done was the movable weight)? It would have been provided us with some additional data to look upon and talk about. I understand that in the coming future a more in-depth fitting will be done, but for now...I'm left a little perplexed.
@@clubchampionmedia I understand the setting you had the driver at upon testing, yet I was looking forward to a little bit more adjustment via the "adjustable sleeve." Hence, the "secret setting" you guys were talking about on the hybrid.
I'll have to watch this one again later. Snuck into a corner at work to watch this live 😂 Yea Matt, just keep at it with physical therapy. Be better in no time 👊
Hi Guys!! Ian, who would you recommend me getting fit by in South Bend, Indiana? The home of Notre Dame! Go Irish!! Oops!! Sorry! You are Scottish right? Ha!! I have learned so much about the golf swing, equipment and how much equipment can influence your golf swing and improve your results from fitting. Your guys knowledge is amazing and I appreciate your honest reviews! Thanks!!
Apologize if this was asked, but why didn’t you drop the loft from 10.5 down to 9 and take some swings? Did you not feel that would address some of the peak height?
I love the G 410 driver line. In your fittings have you guys set anyone up with the S.F.T. version of the G410 driver??? If someone misses right its a nice option. My shot would fade right sometimes so I bought the S.F. T. version of this and its played out well for me. Just wonder what what you guys think of the S.F.T. model? Joe
I know this was a quick initial test, but I wonder if looking at the numbers vs. the G400 LST is an apples-to-oranges comparison. Would love to see how the numbers compare to the G400 driver.
Interesting. I don't know what to think because this year the G410 is the 2nd lowest spinning driver in my hands, shaft for shaft, after the M5. (single figure player, 107-111 clubbed speed). I even spin the G410 less that the Flash Sz.
Did you set the loft to 9.5* or even to 9.0* at all during this test? I just switched to the G410 Plus driver (9* loft, initially with a stiff Tensei Orange shaft, and playing at 10* loft in the small "+" hosel setting) about 10-12 days ago, and initially I was hitting it too high and with too much ball spin. I switched shafts to a House of Forged Tour Black 55-S shaft (actually 62 grams in this flex), and the difference has been dramatic -- perfect ball flight, with about 700-750 RPM lower spin. I'm now hitting my drives 20 to 30 yards further (up from 235-245 yards to more than 265 yards on-average) and significantly straighter.
Ooooh BOY! Question: Does the Foresight rang simulator able to put the green at 385-400 Yards? They way Mr. Robato is hitting the ball you just might get an error message from the simulator!
How heavy is the 410 head? I've noticed that you made a comment about the Epic flash weighing 182 grams. Would a player with a 90mph clubhead speed benefit more from a lighter head or a heavier head? I think the formula is mass x speed = velocity or are we just looking for maximum ball speed? Help me out here.....
Looks like similar results with the ST190 prior to Matt getting a shaft he was comfortable with. Can't wait to see the fitted video on this one. @@clubchampionmedia
Hey guys!! What is the difference between a G410 plus in draw weight setting and the G410 SFT? Just a more closed face angle in the SFT? I personally don't like the channel in the plus and the SFT has a fixed weight. Could one theoretically take out the SFT weight and utilize the hot melt port to add weight back and finally change the hosel to bring the face back to square? I know that sounds ridiculous but I'm curious why have two models when the PLUS seems to do what the draw has to offer?
Interesting for sure. Did you play around with loft during the test, or did you stick with 10.5? Might've missed you changing the loft, saw that it was in the flat setting at least. I did a Ping demo day, and liked the Orange in X even if I didn't love the 410 head. Then I stumbled into a Titleist demo day, and tried the TS3 with the Orange Pro in 60 TX, and that was the best feeling shaft I've ever swung. Big difference between the CK and the CK Pro. Of course I liked the much more expensive shaft the best... Sort of a side track, but excited to see the full review.
After watching many of your reviews and fittings, does it make any sense to mix and match a set of clubs...F9 driver, Mizuno irons, Ping hybrid or should a person stay within one manufacturer's offerings? As a almost senior 20 handicapper I am looking for forgiveness more than anything but hopefully more length from my old Taylormade Burner set...any suggestions of a few clubs to look at? Ping 410, TM M6?
Wow! That is a high ball flight! Joe Rogan might be the only one higher on RUclips. I wonder what the specs on Cameron Champ's driver would be to prevent the high flight and spin with his speed.
seemed a little sluggish on the best strikes. wasn’t matt was seeing higher speeds with speedback and the new mizuno line? i don’t see a reason to switch my max.
Ball speed relative to swing speed it was keeping up, clubhead speeds during this test weren't as high as when we tested the Mizuno and Cobra (neck injury). More to come with this for sure, we need to get the lower lofted head in the shop
Matty, as someone who has played hockey would you say you are more conscious of the trail hand and therefore where the club face is pointing throughout the whole swing?
Is does not appear that you are using the same shaft. The Tensei Orange in the 410 Plus is a higher launching shaft higher spin shaft. Try it with the same shaft Matt is using in his current driver.
Used my new ping g410 today 21 June 2019, and struggled to get it under control. Every drive went to the left. Previously my Cleveland driver either went dead straight or slightly right. Now I’m not sure where I’m going wrong with my new ping driver?
I'm very curious about the smash factor. It seems anytime I watch the tour most those guys seem to be always around 1.49. Matt is hitting them right in the center and not getting that level of efficiency. What causes that? Is it tour issue heads that push up to the legal limit?
Great fitting chat. A question guys! Would you recommend 9 or 10.5 degrees loft for a mid-handicapper? 100-104 swing speed. I usually have my misses to the right (slice).
Great work boys....as always. Question..... I use mostly a Trackman for a launch monitor. Is the "Efficiency" and the "Smash Factor" the same reading? If it is I am a little confused. I swing in the 100-104 mph generating around 155-160 ball speeds but my smash factor is higher than young Matty (use Scottish accent) who blows those numbers way away. I am again unfamiliar with GC Quad and it might be a different number. Thanks again would appreciate your comments.....love your content.
Same idea, but the two monitors read the clubhead differently leading to different club speed numbers. So 1.5 smash on Trackman is ideal, and 1.45 efficiency on Quad is ideal
hey guys, will you be doing a review on the PXG Gen 2 drivers? Am very intereseted in what you guys think of them, especially compared to the rest of the 2019 models. Thx
Loved my G2! Ping makes great drivers but the sound is crap as I have owned G2, Rapture, Rapture V2, G15. Unfortunately from what I hear they stopped making OG Rapture due to cost with the carbon crown, not very forgiving but super Long.

I have just been fitted for the cobra f9 speedback driver because of your video love the consistency. But I was fitted into 12 degrees of loft I am guessing this will add too much spin?
Not the best fitting though at American golf centre. I had to ask to try different shafts. I was hitting it better then my previous driver which was also fitted there and incorrectly as I am 5ft 10 and fitted with a 46 inch shaft now 44.
Unfortunately not sorry like I say it wasn't the best fit I was probably there 20 mins and I wonr be going there again. Very frustrated. Thank you anyway
Great test Guys, though you should have ended with a caption "To be Continued". It will be interesting to see how Matty gets on with the G410 LST (when PING finally release it), but for us mere mortals a little more Spin will help us keep the Ball airborne. I'm interested to hit this G410 to compare it against my MAX. I'm playing my first game tomorrow post Heart Attack, really really excited and just a little nervous that my Brother in Law is gonna Kick my Arse!
Not your fault Matt but I feel a little let down. Like going out on a hot date and going home alone. I'll have to go and watch your F9 video again to get my fix.

I would like see how a light/lite shaft would perform in that driver.Like get hands on last year's g400.That had light shaft in stock?.

Dependent on ball speed of player, but at this speed range around 100ft is around ideal

1.50 is ideal smash factor on Trackman, we use GC Quad which tops out around 1.45 and an ideal efficiency rating
Just for a starting point. What be a better option for a high handicapper? The Mizuno ST 190 G or the Ping G 410? Thanks

Great fitting chat. A question guys!
Would you recommend 9 or 10.5 degrees loft for a mid-handicapper? 100-104 swing speed. I usually have my misses to the right (slice).
Whats the loft set at?
Still happy with my Ping G400max though I would like to try the G410 and the Cobra F9 soon , thanks for a good honest review of the new Ping range👍

I have just been fitted for the cobra f9 speedback driver because of your video love the consistency. But I was fitted into 12 degrees of loft I am guessing this will add too much spin?
If you were fitted for it Patrick we would assume the fitter achieved the desired ball flight using the 12º loft head
Not the best fitting though at American golf centre. I had to ask to try different shafts. I was hitting it better then my previous driver which was also fitted there and incorrectly as I am 5ft 10 and fitted with a 46 inch shaft now 44.

How do you think it compares to basic G400 in your estimate
Seems from our initial testing to be somewhere between the standard G400 and the G400max in terms of launch/spin profile
Seem to notice some disappointment. Might this version be the mid to high handicapper model?
Seems to just be the higher spinning model, which to be fair we should've expected.

You’re not fooling us Ian. That’s clearly body paint, not an actual shirt.
hahahaha!
you're telling me Matt's clubhead speed is faster than or just as fast as Rory's? Hmm I dunno man
we're not telling you anything, a machine is measuring it
Great test Guys, though you should have ended with a caption "To be Continued".
Congrats on your recovery Bandit! Enjoy the round.
@@clubchampionmedia Thanks 👍🏌️♂️⛳❤🙏
Not your fault Matt but I feel a little let down. Like going out on a hot date and going home alone. I'll have to go and watch your F9 video again to get my fix.
🤣
Dangerous to watch this considering I have a 400LST, could be an expensive 30 minutes.
2nd shot ... "proper" and it almost reach green direction pin ... blimey ...
M6 or M5 will blow everything out the water!
jwlbear ...uh....no
Shawn Allen keep tuning in ;).
See if PING will send you guys a Bubba version of the new LST with "MATTY" painted across the crown. #FreeMatty
😆
I just dont like the look of the 410 series and i hate the stuff on top of the head
I've never seen Ian so frustrated/disappointed. Usually, pretty good at keeping a neutral face but, he was very underwhelmed
We had very high hopes for this!! Was a bit of a let down but to be fair we needed the lower lofted head of this model
I can see how dissapointed you guys are with that Driver you need to act better lol
