Eigertour 2023 ED.6 - a paragliding hike & fly race in the Alps

This is my long-ish account of the 2023 Eigertour Challenge race. The Eigertour is a 4-day hike & fly competition in the Bernese Oberland. The goal is to land by all the mountain huts on the circuit.
I present this mostly for myself and my friends, with an insider view on the greatest and toughest moments, without filter. I filmed most of the take-offs and landings, and here I give you also the sketchy and not-so-pretty ones 😅. Conditions were tough, with wind on the first day, average second day, rain on the third, and low clouds on the fourth.

Patrick, this is a SUPERB video in every way! Every scene, every clip adds to the story, the videography, framing and editing is flawless. The scenery is stunning, totally storybook. Your flying skills, already excellent when you were here, are astounding.
This old man can never hope to do any of what you are accomplishing, but I still aspire to take a flycation there and ride some trams up to those edelweiss-infested launches!

Petite question, pourquoi ne pas plus utiliser l’accélérateur pour les atterrissages? Certain ont été très très costaud comme à 2:40

Salut, c'est dur de juger sur la vidéo l'impact à l'atterrissage. Celui là ne nécessitais pas de speed landing, j'ai juste mal calculé mon approche! En général je ne suis pas un grand fan de speed landing, c'est très difficile sur la coordination. Dans la vraie vie les gens ratent souvent leur speed landing à cause du timing (sortir du pod pendant le flare, etc) et j'ai vu beaucoup d'accidents. Pour moi ça reste une technique avancée et plus dure que les gens veulent bien admettre...! Beaucoup encore à apprendre!
