Thanks for the update, I watched your struggles with getting everything planted and wondered how it turned out. Finally put my alfalfa, orchard grass and tall fescue mix in 2 weeks ago and still waiting for a rain to give it drink to start growing
Thanks for sharing. I'm in south central Ohio and it was a wet year here too. I may try fall seeding some Timothy in the wetter areas where the alfalfa and orchard grass didn't do so well this year. I've got the extra seed so it's worth a try.
MrSykes yeah I think it’s worth a try as you can see I did some things that I actually didn’t think would work at all and they did because I just had to get it done it was so wet here also thanks for watching that’s why I do these videos so I can interact with other farmers
Hello! I am going to be planting some grass this spring for cattle pasture wondering if there is a seed mix you recommend, cover crop or not, and when I should get it in the ground for best spring success? Thanks!
@@nathantorrey9731 hay and pasture mix that you can buy from lacrosse seeds in Lansing works great. Brandon Esch in Fowlerville Michigan is a seed dealer 517490 2319. He’s right on the Ingham county border
TNR Red Angus I just Mowat to try to keep the weeds down in the grass and alfalfa take over I found using herbicides was not cost-effective or very effective at all on anything
ROW Services I try to get it in by the first week of April definitely before the end of April. Do you want to take advantage of the early spring moisture and cooler temperatures

Dustin Adams that’s always the thing I worry about fall seatings are you going to get rain to make it jumpstart before the killing frost

Great video I broadcasted 5 pounds of clover by hand last year on a field I've been working
farmwork686 Mi sometimes it comes up and sometimes it doesn’t come up at all when you broadcast on side like frost seeding
