- Anthony is on The Joe Rogan Experience talking about how funny Jim Norton is and how their chemistry may have been the beginning of the end for The Opie & Anthony Show because Opie couldn't contribute. Rogan compares Opie to a girl. Together they discuss the issues with Opie's personality and how Jimmy can't stand him either. To this day Opie does not seem to have any friends left. (11-30-18)

@PFiction24 If it wasn't for Anthony, Opie would have been installing air conditioners after getting fired for being a low level minimum wage disc jockey who never reached the high level in radio.
Morons, you make believe that just because a person gives you an opportunity that it means they have every right to treat you like shit for 20 years. You can't side with Opie... not if you're educated. There's no argument anyone could ever win. The fact that he isn't friends with anyone while Ant and Jim are proves Opie was the problem.
People like you who don't know the history really need to stop being a white knight for Opie. The guy is the reason for his own misery and it's not like he was any fans favorite person from the show. Not one O&A fan ever listened specifically for Opie. That's just real talk and yes I will speak for everyone. Nobody will make believe that isn't true. Try me! ;)

Here's a perfect example of Opie's dementia. This video was posted to his SOLO youtube channel 3 years after O&A ended and 1 & 1/2 year at least after O&J.... and it contains Opie, Ant, Jim, Ricky Gervais, and Joe Rogan.... Opie contributes maybe 2 sentences THE ENTIRE VIDEO and posts it on his current channel as if it is content he is providing.
Obviously he was trying to use Ricky and Joe as magnets to draw people to his dying fanbase. It's really sad. I wanted to like Opie so many times, Jim is right, when Opie is comfortable, he can be genuinely enjoyable and 1/10,000 times can say something funny.... but he lost that ability a long time ago.

Wrong, Anthony's talent would have been spotted by someone, it just so happened to be Opie. Another thing no one mentions, 10 years doing radio, and Opie was spinning records, overnights, in a station on Long Island, I would say they both helped each other.

Opie would never of got to where he was without Norton and Anthony!
When I first started listening to old O&A clips, I couldn’t quite put my finger on why so many fans had so much disdain for Opie. But, the more and more I listened, it started to become clear that Opie was, indeed, the hole of the show, and he DID have some feminine moments of quiet, veiled resentment of the talent around him.

@Miles Davidson Ikr? I don't go back quite that far, I started listening when they were full time on Sirius, maybe 2008 or 9, not sure. But I loved the show immediately, and never really noticed all of Opie's faults that were pointed out after the show imploded.
Now, when I go back and listen, I notice it on every show. How he would constantly interrupt the funny to take a shitty call from a shitty caller, or find some other way to just bring the laughter to an instant halt.

I worked for my boss for 20 years, and he still jumps my ass even if I am 1 minute late.... He lives 5 minutes from work and can not fathom a 30-40 minute commute and the random shit that can happen when you drive that way and home 600 times a year.
