    Also only feed small amounts for 3 to 5 times a day. So when the week is over. Water change isn’t a pain for you ☝️

    Hmm 🤔 That surface looks like it’ll start forming sludge and oil, better get a skimmer. Another essential thing in aquariums and ponds ☝️

    How will I know if I bought a full spectrum light? I bought onw with a white and blue lights 21 watts..Is it full spectrum?

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  2 года назад

      Full spectrum lights has red, green, blue and white lights since they all have different effects on growth of plants. Wattage mostly depends on the size tho. White and blue is usually used for salt water tanks.

      Weak light and not enough water changes. Also a weak water flow.

  • @russzealmutia6388

    Do you clean scrape off the flooring or let it sit? Until it will be green

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  2 года назад

      It starts as brown algae. Scrape or scrub it off. If you have other tanks with green algae you can introduce it to your new tank by transferring even a glass of water and once you see green algae it will slowly build up. Speed up the process with some fertilizer.

    Hello. Beautiful green carpet! I am trying to grow one but I now know I have the wrong light. How often do feed your goldfish. My fingerlings are now 6 months old and I still am feeding small amounts 4 times daily. Is this correct in your opinion? ok now they are 3" w/tail. Am I feeding too much? I Really hope to get a green carpet too!

    Hi, i have a flowerhorn and 2 apple snails in my outdoor tank and id really want to have this green carpet algae on but all I have is brown. Should i remove the snails, i mean is it okay to have them if i want to achieve this look? I soo love your vid, you have great goldies there!😍😍😍

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  2 года назад

      Your apple snails will eat the algae for sure. In regards with flower horns they’re usually kept in clean bare bottom tanks. You could try it tho and it would look amazing.

    Hello, i recently removed 90% of my brown algae in tank and now I'm just waiting for it turn into green water then water change for green carpet. Am I doing it right? i have 75 gal and 300 LED (red and blue) full spectrum light which I leave on for about 10 hrs

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  3 года назад

      Greenwater can be skipped as long as you have a good filter and lighting green carpet will grow and use up all the nutrients.

      Brown algae means not enough light. You need light with focus lens.

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  2 года назад

      Usually it starts with brown. And you will slowly see green algae. If not then you need more light like Soe said.😊

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  2 года назад

      During the start usually brown algae will show. Just scrub it off, it will come off even with your hands. Once green algae is introduced brown algae will slowly vanish.

    Hi, im currently stuck with brown algae i do 50% water change. And im using kandila s600 for a 36inches tank.sometimes my tank gets sunlight for 1hr in 6am.i dont know whats next. Tho i have green water or green algae from other tanks

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  3 года назад +1

      Hi Holo. If that’s the case your light is not strong enough. You need a full spectrum RGB light however sunlight is the best but not less than 8hrs. Brown algae thrives on low light but is the easiest to clean. Just wipe it off with your hands or use a toothbrush for any decor, make sure to clean before trying to grown green carpet algae. If it still isn’t enough you need some flow as well in your tank to get the hair algae going. You can also seed your tank with the green water from your other tank. After introducing you will notice green algae in a week. Try to set your light settings at max and keep it at 12hrs a day. Hope this helps!

    • @islaaquaria
      @islaaquaria  2 года назад

      Depends on the nutrition in your water. And depends on the plant too, if it’s a stem plant/fast grower it will eat up all the nutrients.
