Krysis81 With carbon fibre it is the same as with everything... They get developed for a certain torque and rpm. That said they are a bit less forgiving when it comed to misuse. So if you get a cf shaft that it designed for your use its fine. Maybe, cause of the generally high price Ford cheaped out in this part
Ok just some Feedback Steph..... you did well with the viking shocks on the rear...BUT you also needed them on the front... you can see the car bob up and down in the burnout and tire shake really bad because the air ride front struts allowed the rear to ocellate which in turn caused the loading and unloading the rear tires (with the stiffer viking shocks) which was probably the demise of your Driveshaft. ALWAYS remember that a properly set up car is a whole system... I think you got the rear correct... just not the front. again just going by what I saw on camera. Please understand I'm not knocking air ride... they make a good product and its excellent for what its design intent was for. But nothing beats a good pair struts that you can tune in the compression/rebound to dial in how much front end lift as well as compression so it doesent unload the tires.

It has great torsional strength, not so much against vibration like that. Unfortunately radials move slip elsewhere, unfortunately for her, it chose to use her drive shaft.

I knew Justin would win soon as he said he got a e85 tune from VMP.. Did Alejandro hook it up? heh.
Gabriel Baca more power can be made with a turbo on the same application with a turbo. A supercharged vehicle at 10 psi will make less rwhp than the same car with a turbo at 10 psi. It robs the vehicle and adds parasitic loss and then adds the power. Another pro for the turbo is that you will actually gain MPG all across the board unless you stomp on it everywhere you go. Also now days, with turbo technology, there really isn’t turbo lag unless you go with the wrong size turbo, don’t know how to match piping size for your set up or if you buy a cheap turbo. So turbos really are better than a supercharger.
Greetings from a German Mustang Driver ! Great Video! What do we learn ? Turbo is nothing for American Cars. Save the big Engines! Love you for Cars like Mustang or Dodge !
That driveshaft should have never broken. If call the company and let them know the power your putting down and that the shaft is rated to handle more.
Lee Lankford very true but I've been running an 05 stang with 500hp on stock driveshaft for past 11 + years. Plenty of wheel hop, no issues from drive shaft.
Kevin Wendover I believe you, it just seems that wheel hop would cause the driveshaft to bind up a little more than normal, but I'm sure your experienced with it
Lee Lankford honestly I don't know how I haven't detonated the clutch yet. 87k miles of beat to piss. Rebuilding everything now for the summer. Looking at livernois performance for future build. Want it to be track oriented.
Kevin Wendover why do you think her driveshaft shattered like that?? I personally think aluminum holds up better, I'd wanna know before I upgrade, if hers was rated at 1000+ I just don't see how it could shatter, plus I don't know if shes too experienced with drag radials
Well i think it has to do a lot with her preferences on setup carbon fiber drive shaft is not a good idea for that much launch HP. That would be better for like a GT350 for a track runner not drag. Also she might have been redlining just too far sounded like a fuel limiter was catching in mid-shift when the clutch dropped, causing wheel hop. Otherwise i liked her setup better for a mustang the lower stance was spot on. Id go supercharged on a truck. They both will get the hang of it if they keep practicing.
I like the 15-17 mustang body style but the 13-14s are bae. When I was a junior in Highschool those came out and I already liked mustangs but the 13 body style made me fall in love with the stangs. Bout to finish college and my first big purchase will be a 13-14 5.0. Justin your car is sweet.
lol telling someone you don't agree with their opinion isn't calling them out. I assume, based on your name, that English isn't your first language. So your lack of knowledge about what it means to call someone out we will just chalk up to not knowing the language...
The carbon fiber drive shafts is tested for twist torque. ... keep that in mind. Look at your suspension it's dropped ... the driveshaft angle becomes more shallow. Thus, pushing the ends outward so there would be a substancial load into the rear end gears, and the transmission and engine mounts are the offset cause both the engine and transmission are pushed away. They are not test with the twist and squeeze load, so what happened with drive shafts is the load twisted inward collapsing into itself. That is part the problem the stock angle of drive shaft have always maintained almost the same angle that is why the U - Joint system has not changed, unless you go to the stock ride height, probably have the ends trimmed ( machined ... turned on a lathe ). There are plenty of videos of the Challenger Demon where they not only brake U-Joints but the problems follow through with the rear end gears shattering into at least a dozen pieces... and but any rear end drive vehicle which is lowered especially extensively. Thanks for all the videos and Steph hope this is helpful to you and anyone who may take the time read this. Good luck Steph I know you are quite competitive

For everyone saying “carbon fiber drive shafts suck” no she just doesn’t know how to launch a manual transmission car lol U can easily run low 10s in her car
Pignut I agree
TheBigGuy3380 That's because she gets attention in videos. If you would've done that it would've been different because nobody would watch you, me or most other people.
Pignut either way I’m not putting a carbon fiber driveshaft in a 700hp car
Krysis81 With carbon fibre it is the same as with everything... They get developed for a certain torque and rpm. That said they are a bit less forgiving when it comed to misuse. So if you get a cf shaft that it designed for your use its fine. Maybe, cause of the generally high price Ford cheaped out in this part
Superchargers belong in mustangs, superchargers all the way baby!!!
Zach Crawford hell no
random guy Hell yeah
Zach Crawford lol right muscle car belong supercharged.
Zach Crawford and import car belong to turbo.
Mega Shark You mean turbos belong to import cars
Video editor been watching street outlaws a little too much? Don't need 400 different camera angles for an 11 second race.
Strokin7.3 11 second race? It was more like 4 minutes lol
That was very fun and it was amazing...although i felt bad for Stephanie's car .. great job guys
I’ve wanted this rematch for a long time
I love how she builds her car to how she wants it, and is trying new things. It's very cool, a tad scary, and amazing to see the results.
I'm doing some of that right now that a mustang has never had before. Steph, I totally getcha. If I can't bring my Stang to the events, then at least I can bring it through the RUclips's.
jacob anderson lol no she doesn’t she helps out
@@Skankhunt-bl1tl then I guess they all “help out”
I thought carbon fiber was supposed to be strong wtf?
It has great torsional strength, not so much against vibration like that. Unfortunately radials move slip elsewhere, unfortunately for her, it chose to use her drive shaft.
Wheel hop DESTROYS PARTS
I’ve seen so many carbon driveshafts break and that’s why I went with aluminum.
kapture2k wheel hop
Aluminum Drive Shaft for the win
driver mod needed on that twin turbo mustang lol
Lmao youre a genius
She also needs a better drive shaft and more boost😂
Rematch would be great. Impressive times on both cars considering you both were shaking them down.
Damn, 10.63 is no joke! Solid passes! Hope to get there soon myself.
I love it when they use multiple cameras to make a 10 second race last 22 seconds!
what's the appeal of cowl hoods? I've always found them hideous...
That hood just mainly looks , also to fit bigger blowers, pulleys in some cases.
then don't buy one!
problem solved.
that will be $150 for the session.
Brad Woods , a functional cowl hood is supposed to pick up high pressure air that builds at the base of the windshield
I knew that was going to happen. Them turbo's got to spool up.
She needs aluminum Drive shaft
She's needs anti-lag...usually twin turbos have less lag too...
Maybe a tungsten drive shaft alloyed with earths mantle
I knew they were probably gonna enjoy that beat up CRX more than they were supposed to, can't go wrong with that car.
Stephanie’s mustang looks IDENTICAL to Goonzsquads rebuilt mustang!!
Honda atleast there still running strong
I want to own a B series sleeper one day, my dad used to have a 95 Accord with the 2.2l Vtec, I've been hooked on Honda ever since, CRXs are still cool
I hope you get one I have a crx and there’s nothing I don’t like about the car
@@SonOvaSon JDM over every other car
Funny thing is that Honda piece of shit owns American muscles everytime
success for life every time? You smokin sum dik brother send me a link
all this fancy lingo but he didn't now what BUTTERFLY DOORS were?? lol
You're right, I don't know what 'BUTTERFLY' doors are...lol. -Justin
Strong work to the both of you this was awesome!! Nice job on the win Justin along with getting your 10!!
Thank you! -Justin
Ok yeah her car blew up for sure ..... but that reaction time 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Not surprised of the outcome.
Well this isn't good PR for the carbon fiber drive shaft.
That wheel hop would've hurt alot of driveshafts, no matter the material. -Justin
AmericanMuscle.com that's crazy it had that much wheel hop it probably was the air suspension? 🤷♂️
AmericanMuscle.com Good times on your runs though!!
AmericanMuscle.com just out of curiosity what drive shaft did she have on there?
AmericanMuscle.com you don't need wheel hop to ruin those things ruclips.net/video/EePoNEr1JdE/видео.html
Lamb doors on a Honda hell no 😂
Both very nice mustangs. Those two gear heads have so much mechanical knowledge... better luck with the rematch!
Damn, not a fan of the newer Gen of Mustang design too much but that Blue one looks great
People hate way too much they did their thing had fun who cares if a woman or man driving
Tetova Tetovo
Racing is not for women. Even if some FEMINAZIS claim so.
How much is the carbon fiber driveshaft at american muscle? Super impressed with that.
Awesome vid.. Steph is a good sport Lol.. sucks to see her stang go down like that.. on the forums I always see guys going for the one piece aluminum driveshaft, don't ever see anyone getting the CF shaft even though it's supposed to be stronger.. wonder if there's something to that..
p.s. I knew Justin would win soon as he said he got a e85 tune from VMP.. Did Alejandro hook it up? heh.
Sigrafix Yolo
Rookie mistake on the 2017.... if your drag racing you want a steel driveshaft lmao..... well now ya know
I like how they said they are getting used to their set ups. Bro you own the car😂
Justin, glad you got rid of those stripes
They were fun while they lasted, but I like it better now myself. -Justin
I knew the supercharged was gonna win, even with less power.
Superchargers are just better.
That's honestly so true
😂😂😂😂 sooo very wrong.
@@justinway8801 nah mate, adding turbos is like getting a vasectomy.
@@justinway8801 I do know the facts, and turbochargers are still lame.
Greetings from a German Mustang Driver !
Great Video! What do we learn ?
Turbo is nothing for American Cars. Save the big Engines! Love you for Cars like Mustang or Dodge !
The only thing we learned was not to use a carbon drive shaft with that much torque
That driveshaft should have never broken. If call the company and let them know the power your putting down and that the shaft is rated to handle more.
Kevin Wendover wheel hop will shatter the toughest driveshafts
I'm more of a Camaro fan but, this is cool.
Thanks man -Justin
Oh! And in the 80’s that Turd CRX was a nightmare for fox body Mustangs and Iroc Z28. One of the best Civics ever made.
Ha carbon fiber stronger than steel huh huh I hate cb I trust metal not fiber titanium driveshaft space shuttle that thing
If you get one that is the correct thickness, yes it’s stronger in the means of how much TQ it will handle.
Love it, keep up the great work
Supercharger always wins
Dallow fuck yeah😎
Hell yeah bro!!! My boyfriend has it!
Not rly. Properly driven turbos have a big advantage
Ryan Ortagus wait Ryan ? Your boyfriends gay ? Lmao jk
Dallow instant power ftw
Supercharger is where it's at, no waiting for spool up.
Oh the plus side she doesnt need a rental while her pony is layed up.
Love when Justin talks about his daughter, can’t get enough of the daughter daddy love
Supercharger power wins Turbos nice race guys i loved this video.
Nicks 92 videos switch driver's, put a real drive shaft. Here the best mod is the driver.
Nicks 92 videos Same boost/same driver , turbos will win. Lb for lb the ultimate power adder unsurpassed efficiency.
Chad Kent except there's a delay when delivering the boost in turbo🙄
With a supercharger u get all the boost as soon as u floor it
Literally one of the only nice comments on here lmao.
Thanks! And you will not regret your decision, S197 FTW!
Raiders850 11-14 GT500 FTW
Damn You have a shitty taste
Raiders850 no ashamed to call you out buddy.
lol telling someone you don't agree with their opinion isn't calling them out.
Pop that hood steph and show us those TT's! ;)
🤣😂🤣😂
Take off that ultra padded lift braw and you got nothing
The girl still would have lost but Justin did have drag slicks
Are you excited about your upcoming meeting with Trump?
You get a money shift and YOU GET A MONEY SHIFT.
Great job guys. 👍 definitely would love to see a rematch.
S197 ftw as always 😏
Gaming Fanatics2318 she couldn't launch
The live rear axle is key for drag racing
S197 rules. I like 2011-12 the best
Very solid runs by Justin.
And Stephanie was pretty damn impressive…. Would been better run for sure if that shaft did blow up.
