Saw the “Lia would bid” first thing yesterday. Wonderful addition! Learning a system should be much easier with these comments to think about! I will be glad to catch up on the main lessons from each day, too.
B1. Draw. Lia might bid 2D but I won't :) B2. Ran to 5C over 4SX and was undoubled. -4, could've held it to -3. B3. I opened 1H and played 3H. I misguessed clubs, -1 :( B4. Draw, partner's H lead gives them an extra trick. B5. +2 after Lia's misdefense. Win C, 3 rounds of S, D off dummy just like you. But then E didn't jump in with the J, W won and played A and a H. DWLDW
I can't be gloating over Stefan's -1400 when I scored -1100 on the same board... I was very surprised when I saw I'd won the board, though! That was a situation when I'm glad I did not bid what Lia would have bid, who also would have been in 4S. Otherwise love the new "Lia would have bid" feature! And on B5, Lia also would have passed partner's 2S raise like you... I was the fool who invited with 3S, but with only 12 HCP, even with the heart singleton, there's no way Lia North should have raised to game, I feel. Either way, thanks for the fun commentary!
DWLWD, decent result. B2, I was content to bid 3S and went down "only" 1100. Sticks and wheels! B3, I, er, took a wrong view during the defense. B4, for some reason my partner ducked the diamond King on the first round, so declarer couldn't just run the suit after getting back in, and we got an additional trick. I could have done even better but lost concentration. Thanks for the analysis!
Entertaining commentary, Stefan, thank you
Enjoy your commentary👍🏾
