this is a great video! i think at 4:50 he is saying something more like during your normal practice, your arms will already have plenty of strength. it took me a while to understand what the subtitle was trying to say but nice video i like it :D
Thanks. I appreciate your patience. Since Chinese is my third language, it tends to not get much attention. :-) My subtitles also have a lot of grammar and spelling errors, but that is mostly because I am in a bit of a hurry and don't get around to doing a proper proofing or spell checking. Ah well ...
Hi Mark, I haven't been looking at your videos for a while so I was wondering... Is Yang Yu Hong now coaching in Shanghai or is he still competing ? thanks again for your great vids.
I assume you are referring to the new jianshu compulsory routine? Or did you mean any new jianshu video? I don't have the compulsories, but I believe they are already posted on youtube somewhere.
He's been training for 15 years, so I guess that long? I don't think he focused strictly on his forearms though. It just happened as a result of his wushu training.
He didn't specify, but I've never seen athletes do the same strength or conditioning exercises on a daily basis, so my feeling is that you wouldn't do this daily. Probably 3 times a week is fine.
WOW! Yang Yu Hong is very specific and willing to teach. Very humble. :)
Thanks Luis. I'm glad you liked it.
interesting and useful, thank you

Omg how long did it take for you to get your forearm that big?
And what exercise?
Can I good at wushu if I started learn it too late ( 18 years old , before have learned some martial arts ) ?

I don't understand the last exercise for the legs. Does he mean walk on a heighted object?
like a plyo box or a stool of some sort
If I had one, sure.
Still competing
He forgot internal power training.
Yeah, that is probably a more accurate translation. My Chinese needs a lot of work. :-)
He cute (:
Haha nice kip up ;)
