Gibson gave the fans what they wanted. An Earth Invasion arc would've been Epic. A natural progression that Dark Horse broadly followed. They rejected it because Ripley wasn't central. Although the Space Commies were a sad departure from Corp baddies, the Alien franchise would be *much* larger now. Where did they go for the TV series? Aliens on Earth.
