@galaxyeri2729 Then how are all the comments defending him English speakers when they most likely can’t read Korean themselves if those so called invisible comments are in Korean?! .,? I swear y’all dumb mfs do anything to be prejudiced against Koreans
Jiyong knows that Seungjae is very advanced for his age and that he would not believe him if he said that the food served was not the same lobster they caught. Jiyong also knows that if he starts lying to protect Seungjae's innocence he will lose Seungjae's trust and willingness to go to him for answers/information because Seungjae expects him to be truthful and upfront with what he says, plus Seungjae asked him directly if it was the lobster. This lobster situation was different to the octopus one in that Jiyong was able to disguise the octopus by cutting it in little pieces and mixing it with the pasta and there was no way to disguise the lobster.
I love how the dad goes zip lining, diving with sharks, and off-roading. He’s such a daredevil, but you’d never know it because of how shy and reserved he is!
Please don't forget that jiyong once kept seungjae away from seeing the baby octopus (the one that they bought from the market) being cleaned since he needed to cook it for their dinner. I remembered that at first Jiyong when he played hide and seek with seungjae and his friends he directly pointed out to them that they should've hid properly unlike other parents who just pretend that they don't see their children when they play hide and seek but in one of the latest episodes you can now see jiyong playing with seungjae in a more imaginative manner like the one with the "goblin" hat. This just shows us that parents are humans we all have some ups and downs and difficulties and we learn from it. I do really love how jiyong is now learning how to be a better father to seungjae and I have seen it all throughout their ROS episodes. Probably it just slipped out from Jiyong's mind during that time so please don't hate on him and put him on a bad light. We can clearly see on how Seungjae is as a child on how well his parents are able to raise him up properly.
If you said Ji Yong is a bad dad, you really guys need to watch from his 1st appearance on the show. Yes, he isn't perfect, but he always tried to fix things to get closer and know seungjae deeper. That polite, smart, and social seungjae you see just know, is because his environment and HIS PARENTS taught him well, it's too much if you said a negative things like Ji Yong is the worst dad ever 😪. sorry for my broken english. i can't help to throw up my mind after read the comment section 😥🙄
Putri Rahmadani you are right! Among the children and their dad of the return of Superman, I enjoy watching Seungjae and his dad Jiyong (and I'm a Sechskies'fan) ^.^ #FightingJiyong :D
as a psychology student i don't think ji yong did something bad because of the lobster and the phrase "big boys don't cry" that was totally better than saying "if you don't stop crying the police will catch you" i remember watching. an episode where ji yong and sung jae met a police and ji yong sort of told sung jae that if he misbehave the police will take him. and about the lobster i think it's okay letting the kid know that lobsters are also food. though he should have briefly told the kid beforehand that they will eat the lobster. But anyway i love how he treat his son.
From 2:52-3:12, the way editor made it seem like a tragic story was so funny. And Seungjae is so adorable. I have watched tros of few children but I feel something special about Seungjae that draws me to him.
everyone is talking about how jiyong told seungjae that big boys dont cry and he shouldnt have said that, but my mom has worked with children for almost 10 years now and she says that all the time and to be honest i was really suprised when seungjae stopped crying so quickly, it usually takes kids his age way longer to get over it, but he handled it so well i was suprised. The father is learning how to raise a child, and all the smart children are always a little more active, but so far he is doing well, in my perspective at least.
There is no such thing as a perfect dad, so you can't expect him to be perfect. What matters the most and I really love about him is how he admits he needs to work on things to become better and looks for people to help him. Many fathers wouldn't dare admit they are not doing the job well. His interest in becoming a better father and understanding SeungJae better shows how much he loves him. Yeah, some things aren't the best but I don't really mind them, still think he's great.
Seungjae is the sweetest child, I watch the show because of this little ball of sweetness. It’s crazy how a little potato can be so considerate and kind also very adorable and intelligent💕
Ohhhhh look at all the trolls of parenting who don't even have their own kids but are suddenly experts on how to raise a child. There's a difference between telling a child not to cry because he's throwing a tantrum versus telling a child to bottle his emotions and not cry. Sungjae's appa doesn't shut him up when he gets emotional about eating eels which he feels strongly about. He shuts him up when he's throwing a tantrum which is good parenting. It's all these 'don't tell him not to cry' people who then raise kids who feel entitled to disturb the peace of others by throwing tantrums wherever they want.
Seungjay really is a nature lover kid, especially sea creatures. He's a kind hearted child. Thanks to Jiyong's patience & love his son surely will become a good & adventurous man.Luv 💖💖💖 Uuuuuu more Seungjay 😘😘😘
i'm in school for Early childhood education and child behavior and one of the things they teach you is to be honest with children when it comes to showing or telling them things like lobster are food not pets. it teaches them at a young age that things like eating sea life or farm animals is normal its not like he had them clean the lobster in front of his soon. As for telling seunjae 'Big boys don't cry" that is something we tell the children at my placement right now to let them know that you will not get anything out of crying and crying will not get you what you want. its also taught in ECE courses so for those saying Ji Yong is a bad dad for doing these things please don't he is doing a great job his child is health and happy that is what is important.
his face expressions, so funny 😂 what if Seungjae thought 'I chose that lobster'😅 reminds me of when haru caught some fish with her dad, randomly named them, and ate them even though she was against it at the beginning😂😂
I can’t handle with this it’s so funny and cute at the right time especially this editing OH GOSH I really have no words this is a lot of fun to watch it LOVE ITTTT AND seungjae is such a smart and good behave kid LOVE this Serie of him
i actually think that what he did is ok. gotta teach kids about reality as early as possible in a kiddy way, like how kids communicate. you just dont know whats about to happen. but theres no such thing as perfect parents anyway, so yeah.
i think one of the reason why sungjae appa bring him back into the car to avoid the horses is because it is raining so hard and they are getting wet, and its obvious jiyong isnt fan of horses
maybe it's not right what jiyong did that he ruined sungjae`s imagination as a child with the lobster thing, but i think jiyong is a very good dad and he always teaches sungjae to be nice to everyone around him. That's why sungjae is always friendly and seems like an angel to everyone
Mino Is Bae you are so right. Children often imitate what their parents say. Seungjae is always saying nice things to people he meet. I'm pretty sure he learns that from his parents - to be kind and nice to others. He is also very generous in sharing with others, something he learn from watching his parents who spend their weekends helping in charity work.
song mino I think what Jiyong did was fine. I just believe he should have told Seungjae "we are going to eat this lobster later for lunch" or something like that to atleast prepare seungjae or see his reaction.
why does everyone get so butt hurt when parents say big boys don't cry or boys don't cry people have been saying it for ages it's not that big of a deal it's the same thing if you have a daughter you'd say big girls don't cry all it means is to make them tough and to not cry about everything
Kaylah 케일라 H he's not saying all boys don't cry he just says big boys don't cry like a lot of parents do is just like saying big Kids don't cry I was told big girls don't cry it's not stopping me from showing emotion but whatever
Kaylah 케일라 H tbh okay yes there probably a better way to approach a crying child rather than saying "big kids don't cry" it's been said for generations. This promotes the fact of people growing up thinking its wrong to show emotion. I rather an adult say "big kids don't cry" then have them literally yell at the kid saying don't cry, or stop crying the moment they cry. I don't know about you but I've seen plenty of parents do that
Panda Coolcute orrr they could let the kid cry because they are rightfully upset. Sungjae was just told that they killed his friend lobster and were about to eat it. I think it's okay for him to cry. Orrrr he could tell Sungjae "you don't have to cry because there are many more lobsters to be friends with"OR say "we can eat a different lobster"
I guess it's culture but why are white people so sensitive. Ji Yong is SUCH AN AMAZING Dad and also people shouldn't criticize how parents raise their children and from what I know Korean children (Asian children overall) are one of the most disciplined and respectful so how they raise their children is obviously working. literally I don't even read comments anymore because it's always just people criticizing the people in the video or pointing out a small thing and writing an essay on it and its things that aren't even a big deal. Just because the captions says that Ji Yong isn't aware of seungjaes feelings doesn't mean it's true. That's his son. He knows him more than anyone? And he knows because that hoe seungjae is with other animal foods too but jiyong is just ignoring it because if Ji yong always agrees with seungjae then the child will never learn to eat these foods and will cause him problems in the future and he will be spoilt from always getting g what he wants which won't teach him that include things don't always go the way he wants it to go and ji Yong would be exhausted af if he tries to meet his sons every demand. The parent leads. Not the child. or any of you know it alls in the comments.
Well I think Jiyong is a bit like a typical korean but in many ways he isn't. Like the ways he constantly talks at seungjae's level and answers his questions; usually asian parents tell their children to stop asking questions/questioning their authority....but it seems that the relationship with Jiyong and seungjae is more like friends but with boundaries of course since he is still his dad.
I don't think there's anything wrong with how Jiyong raises Seungjae but you can't say that asian children are the most disciplined and the way they are raised is the best like it's fact. Asian children suffer just as much as Western children from some forms of parenting.
When you hear your wife's voice in the beginning. 😍😍..BUT Iam here for sungjae the cutest kid in towwnnnn, for such a small age he's very smart and very talkative,😘😘😘😘
Seungjae and the lobster scene is so cute. He really is an innocent boy who loves animals so much. 💕 I hope you'll grow up well and use your intelligence in saving the animals in the near futue. 💕
I have been hearing negative things about ko jiyong's parenting and such. How he is so stiff. How he is so heartless around seungjae. Have you not see how sweet, sensitive, high empathy level, kind, friendly, smart and polite sungjae is throughout every episode? I'm sure he didnt raise himself right. He cried when jiyong broke his arm. He cried when jiyong was captured by pirates in mexico. He cried when jiyong said he belong in the goblin village and he have to go back and can never be seungjae appa again. He hold his dad's hand when he taking blood test. How are those feelings of seungjae shows Jiyong is a bad appa? Jiyong appa is not perfect, but he's learning everyday. Thats what this show is all about.
Every time jiyong smile with those blank, tortured eyes after seungjae declares his love for his mother more than his dad after a day of what seemed like fun it gets me
IMO there's nothing wrong with jiyong's way of raising seungjae. Seungjae might be too young to realize that jiyong is already introducing him to reality so that he will be open minded and have realistic thinking when he grow up instead of raising him with the 'norms' when it comes to raising a child (telling them sugar coated lies like santa exists, showing them only the good things about society) I'm raised realistic by my parents and I'm thankful..
Febby Gunanto the real world will do that anyway it's better for his parents to teach him about life than for him to learn it himself, this "purity" is going to disappear inevitably
Febby Gunanto His innocence and his purity isn’t going to help him get through life. There are things such as politics, society, emotions. Most kids his age would be taught about Santa or the tooth fairy, but in my opinion I think that showing seungjae the reality of life is good and starting early could still give him child innocence but it’s just the way he is taught about losing that child innocence. So therefore I agree with teaching him early because he still would have that purity because he is well under 10.
I think suengje's father is a great dad, he knows how to mould his son to being generous as well as tough. Because both the characters are very important for the present world.
You guys critics Sungjae's dad so much, well at least Seungjae have a dad, and i don't even have a dad. If he were my dad, i wouldn't hates him even if he eat a whole cow infront of me.
ikr, I think it's all in how Jiyong was raised. Maybe he wants to raise him the same way he was raised. I never had a dad either (mine died when I was 4). So I never had that experience.
I know...parents are never perfect but the ones that try hard to do the best for their children is something many children don't experience. I'd wish these people would stop with their criticism and just grateful for the way things are.
When I heard Busta Rhymes, I was cackling!! The clip had me rolling on the floor!! Hahahaha! Plus playing Woody's Round up while with the horses was lovely!! ☺️
HE IS AN AMAZING FATHER! SO PATIENT AND KIND, TEACHING HIS SON. WE ALL DO THE BEST WE CAN. AND WE ALL DO IT DIFFERENT..AT THIS POINT I WOULD ALLOWED MY CHILD TO EAT OTHER PROTEINS ..AND . I REMEMBER TELLING MY SON BIG BOYS DON'T CRY, IT WAS A MISTAKE.. IT MADE HIM FEEL HIS FEELINGS WEREN'T IMPORTANT, AND TO CARE LESS, I REALIZED THAT, .AND CORRECTED IT...SO, YEA, HE COULD HAVE DISTRACTED HIM OR COMFORTED HIM TO STOP CRYING, HES A YOUNG FATHER MAKING HIS OWN MISTAKES, HE IS ALSO HIGHLY INTELLIGENT AND IN TUNED WITH HIS SON'S NEEDS AND WANTS, SO I FOR ONE, THINK HES DOING AN AMAZING JOB. WE ALL DO IT DIFFERENTLY AND LEARN AS WE GO, PLEASE SHOW RESPECT, IVE NEVER SEEN A BETTER FATHER IN MY LIFE, MY FATHER WASN'T THAT PATIENT OR IN TUNE WITH ALL MY NEEDS, THIS MAN IS DEDICATED TO HIS SON.
Jiyong is really amusing with Seungjae. Seungjae has such a warm, kind heart that easily and directly expresses emotions, but he's still a little boy, and you can really see Jiyong is trying hard to be a great father while still remaining himself. I hope they will continue to learn from eachother and grow
My soju baby is so sweet and cute who thinks about animals.. he would know the truth..for later when he grows up.. but keep these emotions with in you.. and stay healthy💕😍😘😘
Ahhh I heard there was something else, so I came to see this video.. I saw the one with the eels first... Also saw him crying when fake beggars came crying.. This baby is too pure XD
wkwkwk it reminds me of Haru when she didnt want to eat fish.. but then she gave up.. Jiyong should learn from Tablo.. how sungjae loves animal reminds me of Haru..
omg the millstone dance lmao 6:27 haha jeez jiyoung appa pls appreciate your child's innocence >< seungjae is such a good kid, i would have cried if i was him... on a side note, the food looked really yummy :P
I love ji yong and her wife By raising there child had a pure heart and innocent ..theres no problem i see about ji yong.. His not a perfect dad. But his the right dad for soungjae..his love for his son is the proof.
At this point, seungjae will become a vegan XD
your comment cracked me up
that`s exactly what I thought too!lol
angel pham nah he likes to eat meat lol
angel pham I thought the same things hahhaha he love too much the animals 💜
What is the title of background music at the start?????
Comment section: “Everyone is saying Jiyong is a bad dad, and here is why he is not..”
Me: can’t find a single comment saying he’s a bad dad

Exactly. NOTHING I CAN FIND SAYING He's not a good dad, Everybody says he is a good DAD nobody is perfect even Jiyong doesn't claim he is perfect but he can be a great dad and that's my opinion.
bruh, obviously there are a lot of supporters in the top comments, but down the bottom, people (in Korean probably so you dont understand it) are hating him and calling him a bad dad.

Ji Yong is actually showing Seung Jae the reality of life cause he knows how brutal the world is going to be in the future
I started watching this show because of Seungjae, and I always come back to watch this cute adorable boy.
*Hoping to see him again in the future!*
I love how the dad goes zip lining, diving with sharks, and off-roading. He’s such a daredevil, but you’d never know it because of how shy and reserved he is!

Putri Rahmadani I feel Ko Ji Yong is an Amazing dad!!! He's one of the best!!! He always takes good care of Seungjae
I actually like Ji young a lot

YES! OH MY GOD Thank you so much for saying that! I completely agree.

He is Ko Ji Yong, not Jin Young. And I totally agree with you, Seungjae is strong enough to know the truth early :)

Shana Glitch people are just overly sensitive lol
Shana Glitch Do you think Suengjae might become a vegetarian?

Seungjae is so friendly and he is really social
When you hear your wife's voice in the beginning. 😍😍..BUT Iam here for sungjae the cutest kid in towwnnnn, for such a small age he's very smart and very talkative,😘😘😘😘
everytime i see the thumbnail of this video it kills me 😂😂 as expected seungjae's reactions are priceless as ever 😂
Jiyoung u r a perfect dad.lovable dad, caring dad
Seungjae and the lobster scene is so cute. He really is an innocent boy who loves animals so much. 💕 I hope you'll grow up well and use your intelligence in saving the animals in the near futue. 💕
First episode of seungjae I've ever seen never thought i would be interested in kdramas❤❤ loved it
Seungjae has the heart of gold 💗
“big boys don’t cry”
seungjae: *stops crying* horses don’t cry !
Thats what this show is all about.
my favorite superman baby ! he’s just too cute😭🤍🤍
Every time jiyong smile with those blank, tortured eyes after seungjae declares his love for his mother more than his dad after a day of what seemed like fun it gets me
He has so much empathy. It should be nurtured ❤️
Jasxab _ but then seungjae will only loose his purity and innocence and we'll never ever get to see his purity againn 😣😭💔
Jasxab _ are you religious
I think suengje's father is a great dad, he knows how to mould his son to being generous as well as tough. Because both the characters are very important for the present world.
whats with the comment section??? people are so saltyy, I think Jiyoung did great, and Seungjae is a good kid
Very smart kid with a soft heart kid, love love love seungjae
Can't imagine how fast baby sungjae grew from 4 years old to 7
Okay but why they do him like that with the commercial 😂😂
You guys critics Sungjae's dad so much, well at least Seungjae have a dad, and i don't even have a dad. If he were my dad, i wouldn't hates him even if he eat a whole cow infront of me.
ikr, I think it's all in how Jiyong was raised. Maybe he wants to raise him the same way he was raised. I never had a dad either (mine died when I was 4). So I never had that experience.
I know...parents are never perfect but the ones that try hard to do the best for their children is something many children don't experience. I'd wish these people would stop with their criticism and just grateful for the way things are.
I miss seungjae so much :'(
Seungjae loves animals so much.
Im from philippines but i love watching this

11:19 "dad isn't the best, mom is the best". LOL haha
When I heard Busta Rhymes, I was cackling!! The clip had me rolling on the floor!! Hahahaha! Plus playing Woody's Round up while with the horses was lovely!! ☺️
Seungjae is so cute when he teases his dad that his mom is no. 1 hahaha
I missss seungjae so much. So I re-watched his vid all over again:(
Awww he's so kind i love him so much...
Seungjae is really in love with the creatures that we kill and this boy deserve the whole world...
Yes true
Jiyong is really amusing with Seungjae. Seungjae has such a warm, kind heart that easily and directly expresses emotions, but he's still a little boy, and you can really see Jiyong is trying hard to be a great father while still remaining himself. I hope they will continue to learn from eachother and grow
This kid is too adorable
My soju baby is so sweet and cute who thinks about animals.. he would know the truth..for later when he grows up.. but keep these emotions with in you.. and stay healthy💕😍😘😘
