- Capcom had a few surprises for us with this week’s Next showcase, including the full reveal of Dead Rising: Deluxe Remaster, the second time the 2006 survival-action-horror game has gotten a fresh coat of paint. Apparently a deluxe remaster is a little more involved that your run-of-the-mill HD upscale, but not quite on the same level of a remake, like Capcom’s recent Resident Evil do-overs. Whatever the case, it looks great, and we’ll happily jump back into Frank West’s shoes for some zombie mayhem when the Deluxe Remaster drops in September, and for anyone not excited about the news, rest assured Resident Evil 9 IS in development, so chill out. Aside from re-visiting the familiar to varying degrees, Capcom is also showing it’s not afraid to try something new, as demonstrated by Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, an interesting hybrid of tower defense, real-time strategy and escort mission that’s surprisingly hard to explain, which is somewhat unusual in this day and age of established game genres checking boxes of what kind of mechanics they involve. Kunitsu-Gami drops in a few weeks, and while July isn’t particularly packed with big releases, it does have some coming up, like Final Fantasy XVI’s Dawntrail expansion, First Descendant, Zenless Zone Zero, Flintlock: Siege of Dawn, College Football 25, and Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Game. This week, Beyond is Max Scoville, Jada Griffin and Logan Plant.

Kenitsu-Gami Path of the Goddess is a surprisingly addicting game.
agreed the 19th can't get here soon enough.
Resident Evil 7 is the game that put Capcom back on track
Resident evil 7 justified my psvr purchase
On track? They are killing it at the moment
Now if only Capcom would remake Dino Crisis
If only!
Always great to see and listen to Logan! Beyond from Costa Rica.
Beyond!
Beyond!!!
Metroid Prime 4 Beyond!
I'm stoked for DrDr, being able to go for 53,594 with the QoL is gonna be a blast
Slightly concerned that Max spends his weekends crashing planes in MFS into his old school!
So happy dead rising is back, be more positive towards it 😮
I think I was the only one who was somewhat middling on it, I like the series I just don't know if I'm ready to jump back in again at this time, but I'm excited for those who are or are going to be playing it for the first time.
So the dead did rise, huh?
Don’t be such VR haters! It may not be for you but a lot of us love it in VR!
I personally love VR, the VR in RE7 was just too much for my anxiety 😅, also we just want to see more first party support for the VR2. I’m really looking forward to Behemoth this year though!
but the sales say there aren't a lot of you
A majority of the market sees VR as a gimmick still tho. There need to be more VR experiences that are undeniably impactful before it gets that level of respect
Flintlock looks sick yall crazy
I hope I end up swapping my stance on it once I play it, I think it has promise I just need to actually get some hands on time with it.
Great video! Didn’t see much BioWare stuff. Dragon Age and Mass Effect are way up there for me! Final Fantasy Tactics is my favorite RPG of all time!
Dino crisis would have been a better remake
Was listening on Spotify and had to come over to say what happened. Jada starts confident and goes no it is annoying as fk. Max sounds like he's second-guessing everything and the other guy.
Ign pls ask capcom to remake onimusha pls thank you ! 🙏🏼
I'm kinda done with remakes. Capcom gotta do something new and get off the remake train.
Kunitsu gami is new bro
Can someone tell IGN staff that Dead Rising 3 was the Xbox launch exclusive. DR4 was the return of Frank West and was multiplatform. What is worse is the doyen of all games database IGN super brain guy just let him get it wrong. Ryan and Destin got it wrong on Unlocked as well. Does no one do any bloody prep?
Enough with the remakes give us something original!
Kunitsu-Gami seems pretty original.
So are you gonna buy Kunitsu-Gami? It's like they say, vote with your wallet
