I consider myself a BMW guy. There is no other car for the last 20 years that can compare to the S class. The S class has been setting the standard for large luxury cars for the past 2 decades.
@@morelife7722 I think thats what he meant. This is a nearly loaded 750 going against a base S-Class. Throw the AMG appearance pkg on this car and its lights out. Plus the tech and interior of the S-Class creams the BMW.

The BMW has so much more exterior presence. If I was spending that kind of money on a car, I'd definitely want it to stand out. The Mercedes looks almost wimpy next to it. That being said, the Mercedes interior definitley looks more modern- however, I still can't completely get over the fact that there was zero attempt at integrating the speed dial screen into the chasis. It's like they took an iPad and just glued it infront of the driver. On the other hand, that BMW interior is pretty similar to the one I had on my 2008 5 series- Yikes. Getting very outdated.
The new S-class exterior styling, headlights and grille resemble an older Ford Fusion. The elegance of the interior is diminished with the jumbotron sized screen. The dashboard looks like a self assembled Lego set, lacking the opulence of prior models. I'm sure the Mercedes rides great, as they are always quiet and smooth, but the interior lacks the elegance and craftsmanship of previous models. The 7 Series rides great, quiet and has a very balanced feel. The carbon core sheds weight while simultaneously adding rigidity. Another factor why the 7 Series is faster. The interior is still elegant, despite all of the tech.
I drove an ALPINA B7 to a customer a little while back and I'm sorry but the torque in a car of that size is unmatched. I'm a driver and for me it will always be the propeller. BMW for me without hesitation.
Anyone who can afford one of these can afford the other as well. So it all comes down to what you truly like better. I went with the 750i X drive. Even a 2013 750i is faster than the 2022 V8 S class. And the 2020+ 750i does 0-60 in less than 4 seconds and it weights less, so the 7 series is the clear winner for anyone who wants a little performance to supplement the luxury. If you park the S580 next to e450, they look similar yet I paid $136k for mine and the E class is $75k. Only good thing about the S is the rear wheel steering, massive HUD and the gimmicks. I am trading it for a G63AMG in 2023.
For prospective buyers of 750 - sad news - there is no Bowers & Wilkinson upgraded stereo option to order now. It was a $5600 option - This is huge deal breaker - that stereo with illuminated speakers is the best I have had in ANY car sub $300k. Chip shortage is to be blamed.

BMW needs a new interior design language like yesterday. It seems they've been using this influence for 4 decades. With each MB, there is a clear elevation in interior design. I must say that low-option W223 S-Classes look so anonymous; frustratingly so. I'm not a 7-Series fan, but this particular car looks very primo. That BMW is definitely fleet for such a large car. But for those that need not a V8, that Benz inline-6 is so sublime. We drove an S580 loaner and the car is so adept and luxurious in its driving/riding experience.
As nice as the S class is, it just might be too much tech for the average S class customer who happens to be 200 years old on average. The 7 series was always the choice for younger audience with the better driving dynamics. Many people will continue to buy the s class because of the prestige, but I’m sure some elderly buyers won’t appreciate the lack of buttons. My third s class. The exterior design looks much better in person. The ride and drive are both improved. The dual screen layout is a step backwards for this series both aesthetically and in functionality . The center touch touch screen takes your eye off of the road to operate while you search for a menu or try something as simple changing the radio channel. It also takes away from the comfort experience because the ergonomics of the touchscreen are just far enough away from the user to make the driver move his driving position to operate it. The center console takes away the armrest for your forearm as well as reduces the cup holders size and its made from plastic instead of wood. The touch screen stays covered in fingerprints and the fingerprint id is an extra step that gets annoying on a daily basis. The touch screen is also hard to see at times with the suns reflections. The new air vents sit high and away from the driver and cause a distracting reflection on the windshield. The ride, drive, and seats are outstanding , but the electronics make it very frustrating to operate.
Will need a redo when latest version of 7 series debuts this fall. New design inside and out and may possibly have more tech. Also, facelifted 2022 A8 is due sometime this year as well. Finally, a more reasonable comparison would be V8 engines for both cars. Fine job as usual guys..

It's 2 meters ! smaller than the one of the BMW and despite its enormous size not bigger than the one of a VW Golf.
S Class for me. I have an S550 and I love it. The BMWs are nice, but I’m still sticking with the Mercedes.
The start/stop on the mercedes along with that beautiful interior and absolute silence in the cabin makes the s class the absolute 👑 of the car industry for me.
I have a 335i, so not biased.
Yeah right
Audi A8L! Best luxury vehicle. Love ours!!
A 7 series will never reach S class cashet. Sure it's a fine full size luxury vehicle, but it always manages to be the Prince Harry of the two, quirky and a little rough around the edges in execution - and the S class is the Prince William...stately and posh, posh, posh. An S class!
Prince Harry 😆
Wrong
BMW 7 series all day everyday
Both are benchmarks in this Class of luxury passenger cars. Prefer exterior look of BMW 7 Series. Interiors of both are great. Slainte' ! Cheers !
Bmws grille looks like the designer wanted the engine to be in prison. Looks like it’s behind bars
I bought the BMW740i. I did not want all wheel drive. I think the BMW looks better. It is a sweet ride.
BMW has no chance, even previous generation S-class looks better.
I now lease both the 750I and the S580 both are great cars... The difference I feel is the S Class is heavier vs the 750I it's much lighter but loved them both.
Good job. I'd go with MB.
Amazing comparison!😸
Wow that Bmw Audio system sounds soo good!!
thats the lowest option s class you guys used in the video but i still take S class interior and exterior looks gorgeous 💯💯
Great job
Thanks!
It;s 2022, any, if not all, BMWs interior looks super OUTDATED. Look at Benz and Audi, they're coming up with new designs and much more futuristic. Don't get me wrong, BMWs are known for their driving dynamics, but if I really have to pick, I'd pick Benz over any BMWs. IMO
BMW looks are way better s class looks like a c class the interior doesn’t help it either
True. Good point.
The BMW exterior design with the BENZ interior design... and the BENZ 4wheel steering.
Very great video. German car fan appreciate.
Mercedes could've gotten away with keeping the last gen interior. Full length screen on it was awesome. The BMW has the V8 rumble that people still love without having to option for a S63 in the Benz. I would rather get the used BMW M760 V12 for the same price of the base Merc.
The Mercedes relies too much on today’s technology. It will look outdated in a decade. Not to mention the ambient lighting looks like an 80’s nightclub in Miami.
I will guarantee the Mercedes outsells the BMW several times over...even at its higher cost
The BMW 7 is a great deal as a used car though. In 3-4 years its value drops significantly
I’ll take the bmw. The S class interior is ugly. And the bmw exterior looks better
Getting a 7 series until the latest S class gets more stable and reliable electronics installed
Mercedes-Benz S560
Excellent chanell hello from Azerbaijan 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻🇦🇿
Thank you!
Tohh in Nigeria No matter how bad roads is BMW is always reliable and performance. But all the two cars are great and nice cars
Despite the hightech gadgets and the luxarious interior of the S class, the exterior is a Toyota camry 2019 and the previous generation was way better.
