Because to be a commentator, largely, they used to grab guys with commercial voiceover and dj experience, so they weren't t mush mouths , could read commercials, and take instructions from the director. Then, give them a basic mma crash course and, behold, you are now Mike Goldbergg, etc.

8:00 Cerone (I'm a fan) didn’t really know what he was doing with the umoplata attempt in order to gain submission leverage over his opponents/ Horodecki’s shoulder. He mistakenly crossed his legs to no effect and in confusion…
Fighters: In this situation, pull your left leg behind you to transfer leverage to your right hip and put effective submission-pressure on opponents left shoulder. Fight is over. Osu!?
    I can teach.

How do you tell a Dutch style kickboxer to take Cowboy to the ground. I'm not sure what bjj belt Cowboy has at this time but he got his black belt 5 years after 2010 when this fight took place. The Polish hammer could have been so much better with a good corner. Also this is when Cowboy was still at Jackson Wink. J&W in my opinion the best corner/coaches of all time. Absolutely the most prolific of all time.
