Starting an Band: Inkle, Pick Up, or Tablet Weaving

- How I start my inkle bands with a secure end that won’t unravel. Works with all styles of narrow band weaving. Works with and without fringe.
Materials used:
-Artiste crochet cotton, size 10. 1 solid color, 1 variegated color with the color shifts aligned.
-Leclerc Cendrel floor inkle loom
-homemade cards from a deck of poker cards
-craft sticks
Pattern: Double-turn Double-face setup for lettering, following instructions from Linda Hendrickson’s “Please Weave a Message” alphabets.

Finished product was a pair of matching personalized lanyards for a cruise.

Thanks! I used Artiste crochet cotton size 10. The pattern is a double-turn double-face weave. This was a pair of cruise lanyards for my bestie and I. I drafted a wave on graph paper, then did lettering following one of the alphabets in “Weave Me a Message” by Linda Hendrickson (www.lindahendrickson.com).
