- Oh Hi! Welcome aboard. Make yourself comfortable 🚆
It's the perfect day for a real-time #NSWTrainLink train journey from Kiama to Bomaderry, through some of the prettiest country on the network. Enjoy! 🌄🌅
We need more of these, please. Southern Highlands next!!!
Yes. Bathurst would also be nice.
Play it at 2x speed, feels like we got high speed rail finally
Why did you edit out the tunnels?
What were you thinking??💆
Just did this journey, it was beautiful. I was sad to learn that the three forgotten stations; Omega, Toolijooa and Jaspers Brush were all sadly demolished. I wish they come back.
Great video, thanks for the memories. I remember riding the South Coast Daylight express in the silver Budd cars back in 1989 (from memory).
Great stuff!
I enjoyed this. Please now also do the journey from Bomaderry to Kiama.
All the stops
Kiama 0:00
Gerringong 6:56
Berry 15:25
Bomaderry 25:04
One of my favourite railways in NSW
There should be railway electrification between Kiama and Bomaderry
If you have noticed next to the track (signal) there's a metal box (where's no overhead wire) just like e.g. between Summer Hill and Ashfield), may be they have future plans, depending on the number of passengers!
It has been confirmed the NSW Hunter and Endeavour fleets have Train Stop devices fitted for the last ten years!
Nice crisp video, but to make it more interesting swing the camera to show a rural or an escarpment view now and again, and maybe a road along side the railway line with signage showing where you are. I like your work.
Love the video! But wait there's more! I have noticed something strange in the video where in the Sydney & Melbourne Electric Metro line, next to the left-side of the track by the signals the a white metal box (Auto-Stop) a safety device, if a electric metro runs (fails to stop) a stop signal, a lever on the train will strike an arm and thus applying the emergency brakes. That's normal tor electric metro's, however, even just before Hamilton (Newcastle) merges from Broadmeadow, the line from singleton has the same device.
From Kiama to Bomaderry just up the road a bit, the same device is by the signal, as there is no overhead wires! Is this an experiment/trial for all trains, not just for electric metro trains, now soon to all passenger trains?

I like your work. I would also like to add, that because you are up front with the driver, why not a shot of the instrument panel showing the trains speed now and again.
Great
It is either the former stations of Toolijooa or Jaspers Brush that were the closest stations to Kangaroo Valley.
Berry is the closest to Kangaroo Valley via the Berry Mountain road.
Thanks Tony, there was a stop called Meroo Meadow before the terminus as well. Probably removed from the timetable around the time of the 1973 oil shock like a lot of these small stations were. But obviously not a complete cancellation of diesel services like on the Mittagong to Picton loop line.@@anthonywalsh2164
Bathurst to Central
I noted after watching coming into Berry Station and leaving it, that the Camera is on a Fixed Mount.
Going pass beachesnear kiama spect.!
Covid better end right now so I can jump on these trains
No music in future pleeeeese.

Nice vid but drop the music....

Don't edit out the tunnels next time.
You should have shown the train as well.
When is the snow one being released from lithgow or even further with an XPT.
Here it is: ruclips.net/video/T3fJThdlO3U/видео.html
@@callum_bracht I meant an in cab video like this one.
maybe the cockatoo run?
How fast do the trains travel. Always wondered.
Samuel ... the trains are restricted by the line speed as set by the Permanent Way section ..... From Kiama south the Railcars travel as per listed timetables ... on the left you will see the speeds for various trains mounted beside the right of way ,,,,
I noticed 140 kph for Passenger and 100 kph for freight .
Electrification to Bomaderry PLEASE
As a retired NSW railman .... unless the population , business etc improves ...... the cost to prepare ind install electrification at the moment , is not possible .
@@terryirons1966 I agree, Transport for NSW would require a number of passengers/day/week to install electrification to make viable!
money PLEASE
A bit of commentary,on history of the line would be great, anyway good viewing!?????
Pity it wasn't shot with a 360 camera
no electric railway lines between Kiama and Bomaderry.
they should add those so the oscar’s can go further
Why the music. You want the diegetic sound
