I think post-truth politics is on the rise in India in much larger proportion vis a vis European countries and America. I say so because I think literacy rate has something to with this phenomenon. Those countries have higher literacy rates than India. The people there are much more politically sophisticated compared to India. Here comes the role of social media, it has dented the credibility of political discourse by resorting to biased public opinion.
