These shoes come pretty close to perfection! This man has single handily shaken the entire sneaker world up on the whole concept of "reps" being able to stand toe-to-toe with authenticity. Ive seen videos of people give their testimonies on how they never supported fakes but bought these.

These are my grails. Not whatever Nike puts out. The craftsmanship these have is worth the price. Hopefully I can get a pair someday.

I know you put these videos up a long time ago but I cannot tell you how many times I've watched and enjoyed every single sneaker you showed and all I can think of is having a pair of my hands I want one so bad the price has been keeping me from getting one but I'm almost to the point where I'm just going to take the plunge sell some crappy sneakers that I have and go for it thank you brother

Hey snide nice to see you back, bought those chicagos from VLR after watching your last video I liked it a lot and because of that I went into the hunt for more handcraft shoes and made the order for a custom pair from Netherlands VJzi and ordered an off white Chicago with my choices of materials can’t wait to put my hands on it when ready but takes about 3 months the process
@@snide64 just had a look at his work and following on insta now, will probable get a pair at some point it’s just great what some people is doing, after seen all this works make me think why Nike/ adidas don’t go that way at some point at least once a year I’m sure if they used some of those expensive materials like python / gator people wouldn’t mind to pay the bit extra.

I like the quality but the shape just a bit weird, it’s feels too smooth, I guess I would love to see how the pairs look after a few wearings
It’s a 1 for 1. Exactly what you’d get in ‘85. Smooth shape and all. You just not used to seeing it, & that’s okay🤷🏾♂️

Thank you for this comprehensive review ! Is it real leather or plastic leather as Nike is using ? Do they size the same as Nike retros ?
These are much better materials than Nike uses based off what everyone says. They also fit true. I'm going to be ordering a pair very soon. Check "Wear Testers" review where he mentions all this stuff. Search "weartesters the best jordan 1 and they aren't made by jordan brand"
I’ve been having the Chicago ones from VRL For almost a year now. They’re really good don’t get me wrong. But for 600$, the leather is definitely NOT 600$ worth. I get the work ethic, but for 600 I expect a tad bit better leather
I noticed that he only has full sizing. I usually go 11.5 for my Jordan 1s. Am I better off sizing up to a 12 or down to 11?
Same issue I have trying to by bespoke or customs, I think I’d go 11, cause 12 is gonna be a boat. If they started making 11.5 they’d have all my money SMH
@@vnclejed1971 lol. For sure. Ya, I actually have Jordan 1s in both an 11 and a 12 and they both fit me. $600 is a lot to drop on a rep shoe, so I wanna be able to wear it long term. I think 11 will be my best bet since I might be able to count on the leather breaking in over time.

I'm really sorry but this work is amazing, really the only retro I admire was the re-release of 94, then it's very questionable. Aside from the mountain of money people spent to get a single pair. I prefer this one a thousand times. 5/5

These bespoke Jordans are still replica sneakers at the end of the day sir. However, spending $600 or more on these over a resale pair from a reseller is way more justifiable in my opinion.
Oh absolutely. The definition of a replica. They’re a perfect reproduction of what would have been produced back then. I love it.
Even Nikes modern '85 cut aj1s are reps of the actual 1985 shoes. The aj1 "ogs" are even worse reps of the 1985 original shoes. Nike does not follow at all the actual blueprints from the actual 1985 aj1s, hence one could and should say Nike is also producing reps, and inaccurate ones at that.

How is the fit for a size 11 compared to a Retro?
I went true to size, just as I do on retros. Fits perfectly. Original 1985s run at least half a size small, if you’re ever in the market for one.
@@snide64 That's interesting. I've never heard people say that about the OG 85s size wise. That's what you're referring to, correct? And not the VBLs? Because I've only seen a handful of people say the VBLs run big. Majority said true, but one guy on youtube said his 10.5 matches up length wise to his 11 lost and found. Just got me questioning the size now since I was placing an order soon. And it's something I'd wanna be sure about since you wouldn't be able to return them, you know? And for the price you're going to be paying especially.
