Night of the Wolf (1975) | A Horror legend of Man and Beast starring Vincent Price

For your listening enjoyment, here's the 1975 BBC Radio Play, NIGHT OF THE WOLF, starring Vincent Price as a 19th-century judge who encounters deadly family secrets while searching for his son in the Cambridge Fenlands. Written by Victor Pemberton and produced by John Tydeman, it also starred Coral Browne (Vincent's third wife) and was first broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Saturday Night Theatre in 1975.

We used to listen to this back in the 70’s as a family on cassette. I was very young and it frightened the life out of me. Wind the clock forward 30 years and I emailed the author Victor Pemberton conveying my appreciation for such a wonderful play. He emailed me right back with the kindest message. He told me that James Stewart was due to play the lead but had gone down with flu only days before so had to pull out. Luckily, Vincent Price happened to be in London at the time and stepped in at the very last minute. Lucky for both the BBC and Vincent himself as he met Coral Brown (grandma Deacon) on the set of this radio play and they went on to become husband and wife. Great story x

This is incredible I recommend Salem’s lot after this- the narrative I adore the tenacity of the Roberts farther played by the incredible Vincent Price “ I will tear down this university brick by brick “

Does anyone remember a werewolf story where it attacks a ice cream man and eventually ends up inside the house in a closet or something like that, i heard it when i was a kid on a 8 track tape called "suspense" i believe.
