Ty, watched your video, did everything you said to do, got home after taking it to ups and desided to read the paper work.. That's when I found the 2 labels that I was supposed to fill out and put on the tube and container.. Now I have to do it all again after waiting for a new kit to get here, so you really need to add the part about the labels to the video.
A lot of people do this cuz they think it's a replacement for getting a colonoscopy it's not your doctor's going to tell you you still need a colonoscopy.
So glad you made this video. Men there is a gap so you can keep your urine relatively separate. And for those of us who are delusional, the gap is big enough. Don't forget to label your samples! 1 copy on tube, 1 on collection container.
But you forgot to mention filling out two of the name tag labels, and a fixing them one to the larger receptacle and one to the test tube. I can’t imagine you forgot to mention that. Other than that, you have the best video on how to use Cologuard. So thank you.
Very good video. I did mine recently, I was a little reluctant at first but the whole process is really pretty simple. I was glad to get a negative result.
Thank you! This was extremely easy to understand and made everything absolutely clear as far as collection, return, and exactly how the entire process is done 💯 Im gonna share this video with family and friends immediately!!❤️ Thanks again
It was very easy to use, it is a little time consuming but, if I ever have do it again. I would use Cologuard. Much better than having to drink that horrible stuff beforehand
My Cologuard experience: My doctor recommended this for me since I'm low-risk for colon cancer. Mine came back POSITIVE. So, that meant I HAD to have a colonoscopy anyway. BUT, my insurance had paid for the Cologuard as my SCREENING test. My colonoscopy then was considered DIAGNOSTIC, so I had to pay for that. Everything was fine and nothing at all was found, not even a polyp. The thing is, I don't believe this test is entirely accurate and I would be afraid to put any faith in even a negative result. If I had a false positive, then anyone could have a false negative. There is no substitute for a colonoscopy where the doctor can actually see what's going on in there.
I talked to my Dr. about this before agreeing to Cologuard. I was told it used to be done that way, but not anymore. If the Cologuard comes back positive, the follow up colonscopy can also be billed to insurance as screening; however, if they find anything, they would remove it and it would no longer be billed as screening. Dr. also informed me if you did the colonscopy without Cologuard and they found anything, they would remove it, and then it also would not be billed as screening.
@bpace2509 I guess the bottom line is that people need to check with their insurance companies before any of this so they don't get sticker shock like I did. I'm due again this summer so I'm going straight to the colonoscopy. The Su-Prep prescribed now isn't really that bad. It's expensive tho but I found a GoodRX coupon and got it at CVS for $45 instead of $100+ at WM. Also, the anesthesia used gets out of the system fairly quickly. My hub just had it done, then we went to breakfast after and then shopping with no problem.
Helpful. My first time doing this. Didnt mention the labels though. That part to me seems like the most bothersome part. Its pretty simple if the toughest part is writing out and putting on labels. Lol
From reading the directions you're supposed to scrape the outside of the poop I don't know if it matters but I think we scraped the outside because the cells from the wall of the colon will be on the outside of the poop
The issue is, if your tumor isn’t bleeding, it won’t be detected that way. It’s best to have a colonoscopy. A bleeding tumor is still cancer, you want to catch it when it’s still a polyp or in its early stages.
I just posted a comment but I'll quickly tell you my experience. I had a Cologuard test. It came back positive so I had to have a colonoscopy anyway. BUT my insur pd for the Cologuard as my screening. The colonoscopy was then considered diagnostic so I had to pay for that. Nothiing was found, not even a polyp. If I can have a false positive, then anyone can have a false negative. My advice: skip the Cologuard and get a colonoscopy. Even if you have a non-cancerous polyp, it needs to be removed in case it turns to cancer over time.
I wasn't expecting this box & already opened the box incorrectly. I had no idea what it was or no one indicating to me that this was going to be delivered to my home address. 🤔
Every time I see the commercials for this I giggle because make no mistake you're still getting a colonoscopy you can do cologuard if you want but as soon as your doctor looks at the results he's going to tell you you need colonoscopy, might as well do that just skip this. I think a lot of people think that this is an option to getting a colonoscopy well it's really not.
It's only a problem if they detect blood in your stool or there's something that would give them a reason to *recommend* a colonoscopy. It's always your choice. I'm doing Cologuard because colonoscopies are invasive and risky. This eliminates going through the procedure, *unless you have to* . They need to find something wrong with you in order to suggest you get a "full" colonoscopy. If your Cologuard comes back negative and you're being pushed to get a colonoscopy, *anyway* , you're wasting your time, and lining BigPharma and BigMedicine's pockets (not to mention putting yourself at risk) for an *unnecessary* procedure.🤷♀️ However, if you have a history of polyps or colon cancer, then it's always recommended to have a "complete" colonoscopy. Cologuard is more for people with a low risk or for those who have never had any issues detected with prior colonoscopies.
I was given a colonoscopy for screening because of my age. I had no digestive symptoms. Two months later, I almost died. Needed emergency surgery. Turns out, they perforated my colon. So much for an invasive procedure for screening.
Welp, this, understandably, didn’t help me at all. I can read the instructions myself. They’re nice and clear. What I CAN’T do is sit on a tiny, hard, sharp circle and relax enough to have PART of a bowel movement because they don’t want too much of one. I can’t even manage a full bowel movement. The freaking bucket cuts into your flesh! And it’s the opposite of natural to let go when your butt is directly on top of something. How does ANYONE manage to poop into the bucket?
Nope the biggest problem is getting the sample💩on the sample tester in a good way for testing I’m on my second testing because of this not as easy as the instructions say
You didn’t explane anything what u do with the battle has water looking like i will send back the box empty becousr they told me to watch you and u never make me understand what you want me to do with the bottle has water. I say a gain make i understanding
Given the amount of continuous gas I can have, I think it would blow my colon out of the top of my head. I don't think a colonoscopy would be a good option for me. I'm still unsure though how the box would reseal. I do think this is best left to Dr.s. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed on such things.
It's supposed to detect cancer cells. I used it and got a positive result so I had to get a colonoscopy anyway. What I hadn't realized was that my insur already paid for my Cologuard as my screening. I can’t do a colonoscopy right now due to my low kidney function, and the colonoscopy prep being hard on your kidneys. That’s why I chose Cologuard. Everyone’s risk v reward equation is different.
Thank goodness someone took the time to make this video. It’s much appreciated.
Im so grateful for video Thank you sir I would not open the box until i knew what to do
So much easier than the included instructions.
Except the missing part about adding labels
@@daphne201239 Yes. That was the one part that was missing.

I was thinking about the labels (only because I watched another video about it last week). Very important part.
The poo emoji freakin' cracked me up! Well done!
Thanks for the perfectly timed & informative video. All my questions were answered in minutes!
Thanks for this quick and easy video. I just did mine and mailed it off to UPS. 5 stars for this easy to follow video!
Handling this in the kitchen is a good idea, said no one ever.
Yep… I’m just going to put this bucket of poop right up on my counter, and swab it.
I’m sure it’ll be fine.
A lot of people do this cuz they think it's a replacement for getting a colonoscopy it's not your doctor's going to tell you you still need a colonoscopy.
Wrong. As long as the report comes back clear, no actual colonoscopy will be necessary.
I noticed that too - maybe the garage where you change the oil ? Lol. Kitchen table ? Gross.
My kitchen smells divine now :D

Haha, yeah, the employees at the UPS store were pretty good about it. I’m sure they put on their latex gloves as soon as I left.

It appears no one is replying to any comments.
Then if you delivered you have reorder a test kit it cost about 500.00

Way more preferable to doing a colonoscopy. Or as my 90 year old dad calls it a 'colonostomy'. Fortnate to be low risk.
