This is a good video !!! mayn I am planning to turn my garage into a brewery then you popped up, it definitely got me pumped, if I got any questions or know any videos related ,please holla back, How can I get a hold of you bro so that I can also send you the dimensions of my garage , then what I can do buy etc etc ???
This setup is so clean, I'm very impressed! I just hope that homebrewers aspiring to go pro knows that things will never be this nicely organized in a brewery 🙂
Super cool. I need to send you a picture of my bin of brew stuff I have in the garage. It’s a minimalists dream! Also, no space for a real brewery dream! 🤣
Really well thought out. I work off a rolling stainless steel cart. I brew outside then wheel my cart into my John Deere room in my house. Next purchase is a utility sink. Running a hose in the winter is tough where I live.
Trying to make room for brewing in my garage but been scratching my head on how to include everything I need. This is good insight and I appreciate the production value and dedication to the channel. Keep it up!
Love this brewery :) thanks for showing it to us, good Inspiration for my planed build of my own. Not having to bring all the Equipment outside, having everything ready for the next Batch, having the posibility to clean up all the equipment at the same place where you brew, thats just perfect and safes so much time for me. Thanks for All your videos, by the way you are the only Brewtuber with Not only having a good taste in beer, but in music, too! ;)
Thanks for sharing, as I didn't realize how much space I might have under a future sink and although I did consider storage space up high, I didn't think about that area being useful over the sink too. Now, if my builder will get his act together and actually finish my house, I might be able to put some of what I've learned to use. Also, a side note on the two Tilt Hydrometers I noticed in the drawer, consider storing them upright, and the batteries will last years. Congrats and Cheers on the 10k!
@@shaggaroo What? From the Tilt FAQ site: "Q. How do I turn off the Tilt when I'm not using it? A. The Tilt will go into sleep mode when you're not brewing to save battery life. Simply stand the Tilt up or lay it on its side and it will shut off automatically."
Dan , I’m in awe of all your nice equipment . You’ve invested a lot in what you have , it’s not cheap . What you give back is awesome knowledge that is really helpful . Cheers !!!
Thanks Dan I am about to rearrange my own home brew space and you have just given me a few tips I didn’t think of Thank you Ps love watching your videos
Congrats on reaching 10k, been digging the channel for a while! The brewing space is super cool, and I am also impressed by the sheer amount of awesome gear you have for an 'amateur' brewer. Haven't seen that many connections outside of a brew store before
Thanks! Yea when these grain to glass videos get going it gets a little crazy! I'm usually brewing two and packaging two in the same weekend so I need at least four fermenters and I'll mix in some long fermenting projects. Recently I've been using the conical tanks which is why most of the buckets are up there.
Great setup! I am totally jealous! Also, congratulations on the 10k subs! One question, where did you get the music for the end of your videos? I really like that music!
Thanks! All the music comes from Epidemic Sound and there should be a couple links in the description where you can learn more and listen to my playlists
I can't remember where you are located, but where I'm at in Texas it's almost impossible to brew in late July to August outside because of the heat. I put mine in the separate 3rd car garage to get some air flow. Love your setup. Where does your sink drain? Do you just run a hose outside?
@hopsandgnarly how do you handle draining and rinsing our your mash tun? I have a plumber coming over tomorrow to discuss plumbing the garage for this very same reason. I don't mind feeding fresh water using an RV hose, but the drain is the main issue. What about your spent grain?
I connect the bottom drain of my B40 to an RV hose and push it out to a settling pad that we made by layering different size rocks and gravel. It does get clogged up occasionally but connecting fresh water to it will free things up. Once everything is rinsed out I run PBW then fresh water and that all gets dumped using the same hose. I'd be curious to hear advice from a plumbing professional on this. A floor drain would be cool to have but I think debris from the kettle would royally mess that up. I believe breweries just use those big 1.5" TC hoses for this so maybe all you need is a thicker hose
It all adds up over time but it’s usually just a couple hundred here and there and an occasional big upgrade. The brewtools gear is probably the biggest investment
I usually just stick a bucket under there but I also have a pvc piece I can use to drain into the driveway. It definitely gets super cold so I just use a quick connect and connect it only when I’m using it
Love the video. I haven’t brewed in a minute but I’m getting ready to get back into it. How do you manage the low temps in the garage during the winter months?
Congrats on the 10k! Great looking setup, I like the pegboard idea, looks way better integrated. I'm in the process of making my space much more usable now, but probably won't look as good as that for a while. For some reason I never thought of getting an actual toolbox for the storage, those Husky ones are great. Final thought... When are you going to shotgun the Billy Beer?
@@HopsANDgnarly Awesome! I was interested in the "hose water powered" aspect of it, because I don't want to run legitimate plumbing for mine, but will figure it out and piece it together. Beautiful setup you've got, thank you for sharing.
Well assembled gear in a great looking workspace. Every brewer loves brewhouse porn. We get to pick and choose what will work for our individual needs and bring it home. I suspect this vidya will get some traffic for sure. Well done.
