Just a suggestion but it would be great to visit him once a month for a story time. He responded and said, that’s a great idea. We’ll see if he’s able to.

      I thought “maybe they liked him because he was blonde hair and blue eyed, but even other relatives in my family that are darker looking spoke very very highly of the Germans.

      My grandparents lived near the Austrian border in Hungary. The Germans behaved well and gave chocolate to the kids in the village.
      They did execute a young Jewish couple (the only Jews in the village) in the nearby forest though, the woman being a very good friend of my granny. Not sure if the same ones or another company, later. Probably the first Germans passed by in 1941 en route to the Soviet Union, and the second ones in 1944 when they occopied Hungary? Or maybe it all happened in 1944? I will never know that, my grandparents are gone.

    • @MTRANF
      @MTRANF 2 месяца назад +12

      Germans actually executed many Jews in Hungary. I saw myself a grave of woman raped then killed by SS during their last Balaton offensive. On the opposite, the average Wehmacht soldiers fullfilled punctually their duty of soldiers according to their military code. It was contrary to German code to rape, murder, steal or commit anything against military code. Soldier would have been in martial law and executed. It's why such allegation should always been taken with scepticism. A pilot was obviously a soldier and treated accordingly. I am not surprised by what says this veteran.

    My grandpa also told me similar stories. Germans behaved very politely, and ASKED villagers if they could take sheep for slaughter. Never went and took anything by force, asked for food only from people who looked like they are well off. There were not a single case of SA or r*pe by German troops, because command punished that behavior harshly. He also told me another stories which would really question current narrative about WWII, but I can not tell them here because of this site's censorship laws.

    This was truly the most interesting video I think you've done so far! This man is an inspiration! I'm only 64 years young, but, some days I feel his age but with sore knees, back, etc ! His memory & the stories are fascinating. I appreciated the fact that he learned/realized how he wouldn't of fought/argued with his brothers! Depending on what type of fighting he means, that's just a normal part of growing up! Sergai, I'm touched by what you do for people, you are so very kind & generous no matter the situation. Even those 'parents' where the dad killed his son (I'm not remembering their names right now), regardless, you were even kind/patient with them under horrific circumstances! I'm from the US, & it's just fascinating to me how these older people live in these villages. It makes me stop & think how blessed we are! Thank YOU for this reminder! Keep up this wonderful work you do & i wish you & your family a long, healthy & fun life! We gotta keep laughing, that's my motto! Love & respect to you, Sir ❤

Do you know secular scholars wrote about Jesus? Do you know Roman history,history of the Middle East?
