That microwave thing has always happened since the first time I went there in the early 2000s, never gotten sick and I never really found it an issue (but in all fairness, now that I think about it, he is the only guy that does it and yeah it makes no sense as the rotisserie is meant to keep it hot anyway). The garlic sauce is also a bit of a sour yoghurt situation and honestly my favourite part of the kebab. But yeah it's a bit of a sad story with the boss. I remember back in the 2010s, he had a few guys working for him as well as his wife. Yeah this checks out completely. Spanian's hypothesis that they'd pull out cold meat and discriminated by giving that meat to random customers while making a point of the guy's race was genuinely a bit shitty. He should have just asked them what the bucket was for lol. Spanian has obviously never worked in food service. Why make that assumption based on some random review? Unfair.
@@99TJS1 Whos making the assumptions now though, its you. He literally showed reviews of the place where customers saw the guy use the meat from the bucket to make their kebabs.
The audacity of the guy to microwave it in front of you is ridiculous! Also, South Hurstville Kebab was my go to dinner option when I worked at Miranda Westfields back in the day, and they always, without fail did a great job, their kebab plate as well is legit. The chilli sauce is amazing!!
Hello from Darwin, NT, Kebabs are very popular up here, Thankyou to the families that moved here and opened up kebab shops. Shout out to Ahmet's Kebabs in Palmerston Oasis shopping centre, homemade falafel.
Great Review . Sadly , you missed the best Kebabs in Sydney by 50 years . George St in Sydney , opposite what is now the Cinema complex. 1972. Next to a Pinball Parlour , but the smell of oregano and roasted meat wafting out into George St was irresistible . Strange things in the salad display case , onions with reddish flakes sprinkled over them (Sumac) . What looked like seasoned grass clippings ( Tabbouleh ) . Meat sliced thinly ( not the compound beef rolls of today ) . Rolled up in a flat piece of something bread like ( definitely not a loaf ) , $1.50 . We had never seen food like this ! 10 years later , the Bosporous Kebab House in Hornsby . BEST KEBAB EVA CUZ! Bread baked to order on the Saj , and a Kebab twice as thick as the sad offerings nowadays . From memory , $2.50. Same year , one of the first Kebab Caravans , and their Chilli Sauce was outrageous ! Very popular with Motor Cyclists at that time .
i cant believe i wasted 20 minutes watching this but in all honesty you gave me a good laugh on an otherwise boring day and......and..... i feel like a kebab 🤣
These 'worst rated' food reviews you do are not only interesting viewing but also quite likely saved a few people from getting food poisoning, so therefore also act as a valuable Public Service Announcement. Spanian, I agree with you about the two buckets of shaved meat underneath the fryer at 'Kebabs on King' in Newtown. 1000% for sure THAT meat was being put in kebabs!! TWO big buckets of cooled down meat just sitting there, I don't think they're there to decorate the kitchen LOL. The other place with the flies in Pyrmont, straight up should be fined and closed down! With the flies comes serious questions like what's rotting in that kitchen that's making the flies hang around? (I hope whatever is rotting in there doesn't end up being given to a customer!) Where were those flies BEFORE they started flying on and around those raw ingredients? (The flies could have been in contact with rats or cockroaches before they ended up on that food!). For any business in the food industry, a fly problem is a very bad problem to have.
It sounds like Spanian is doing a better job than the food inspectors. Like surely food inspectors could inspect these places and tell them to sort their shit out before they do a re-visit.

I left Sydney in 2006, before that Hey Hey Kebabs was my go to, meat was good, kebab was big. Seeing that meat and bread being microwaved broke my heart.
It’s possible the buckets could be used to measure waste, at maccas they used buckets at my store so they can record and try to control their wastage. Could be the reason for the buckets
I was thinking something similar that they used the buckets to throw away leftover meat or if the rotisserie hasn't been shaved for a while they remove the outer meat and discard it.
Could also be any scraps that have fallen out when making kebabs and they just put it in the buckets as they go. Once it’s full i would hope it’s discarded. Any cold cooked meat can’t be good for you if reheated
Love your videos Spanian . I live in Liverpool Sydney and we have Johnnys near the Liverpool Railway station . Johnnys has some really nice mad food. If youre in the area ..Call in.
Great video and thank you sir for your tireless efforts and truth for the good of the people. Word to the wise, those buckets are for what you described in your video, straight out that's a yes. However, the other side of that coin is that the majority of those meats are regularly distributed amongst various non for profit charity groups that do end up making a profit that no one ever heard about but there is a plus side to that coin also. These meats are eventually consumed by people who can not afford to eat in the same place as the rest of the other people who can. There is very little wastage in this fashion, much unlike our allies in the good old US of A where people are paid good money to go around collecting food for the homeless which results in that food being thrown straight into the bin whilst they spend the day shopping and hanging out in cafe's. At least here in Oz there is more of a sense of community, and I just wanted to clarify this reality to you. Keep up the good fight, good sir. I salute you, we bleed the same colour so as far as I am concerned, we are on the same side. Peace be with you.
The buckets of meat could be old or bad meat that they don't want. I used to work in fast food and they would have buckets under the counters of chicken or hash browns or whatever food that either fell on the floor, wasn't cooked properly or wasnt good enough to serve. The buckets would get emptied every day so that could be it.
I used to eat at Hey Hey kebabs ALL THE TIME back in the day as I worked nearby at Silverwater. Looks like it's gone downhill since then. Great video mate - hilarious!
the problem with reviews is that if youre happy with the meal you probably wont be bothered to put a review, its the unhappy customers that are more likely to make a review. So reviews arent always accurate
I love your videos! Very eye opening. I'm just sad you threw the kebab and wrapper on the ground and not in the bin :( littering is so grubby, you are better than that. Keep up the good work you are a national treasure.

Peace be with you.
bless up
6:08 "bruh". The single most devastating food review the world has ever experienced
Doing this in a white hoodie is the most gangsta thing I ever seen 😂
Take ya top off.
At this point I’d just cook at home , the Pyrmont kebab place just shocked me.
Congrats on 400K Subscribers bro. I love your videos. Keep up the excellent effort. ❤

Span is the man. Pure entertainment.
Big things coming to spanian!
Respect l superb content wat ever he does.
the problem with reviews is that if youre happy with the meal you probably wont be bothered to put a review, its the unhappy customers that are more likely to make a review. So reviews arent always accurate
I love your videos! Very eye opening. I'm just sad you threw the kebab and wrapper on the ground and not in the bin :( littering is so grubby, you are better than that. Keep up the good work you are a national treasure.

Straight out I've had a kebab at the Pyrmont one at the end of the night in the drunk af, and I reckon that's why they in business (+ubereats) cause if you came in the day and saw the flies you'd straight up leave.
The edits are good on the videos 👍🏼
