As you can already see, we MADONNA fans support anyone that is willing to "listen" to her lyrics and to "watch" her music videos. She has a knack for making each and every song relateable. It warms my heart to see a man like you becoming a fan. You arent so bad to the eye either 😊 .... but I digress 😅 ... young MADONNA is a rebel with a cause. Yeah she gets alot of heat for being real and honest. Alot of the so called religious groups dont like that she calls them out to their faces. Great reaction.

This video is a masterpiece!! Does what a video should do. Video goes with the song perfectly. Staten Island, New York is a character in itself. Madonna and Danny Aiello play off each other so well. One of her best videos!

I would never judge your decision to share. In fact, sharing makes you more relatable. As for Madonna... First of all... She is my queen. She was the only one that wasn't afraid to hit topics that were real and relatable-even though it may cause controversy. So I do appreciate that you're keeping it real, señor, I absolutely enjoy your channel! Madonna songs I recommend, so many of them but I'll narrow it down to three: Human Nature, Ghosttown, and Crave.

You are definitely smarter than your average RUclips reactor. You wouldn't believe how many reactors think "baby" only refers to the boyfriend and pregnancy doesn't even occur to them. BTW, I love how real you are in general! You are you; nothing better than being authentic. As to sharing, do you, I say. I'm definitely nosy, but share only what you want to. Cheers!

Thank you for defending her voice. She's a great singer. You said it perfectly- I hate when "good" singing is considered that riff BS. Madonna's voice conveys emotion and she never sounds the same.

This song caused a shitstorm of controversy. Teenage pregnancy wasnt even discussed in the 80s it was so taboo. You were made to have an abortion or give it up for adoption (hence " but my friends keep telling me to give it up"). It was branded as promoting teenage sex by the media and church. Madonna is never one to shy away from hot topics she believes in. And if us Madonna fans arent complaining about you pausing, its because you are RESPECTING the work - trying to understand it and give it your detailed attention. Which Madonna deserves. Most reactors do a cursory gloss-over and miss all her messages because they are so busy worrying about how they look on camera. I came straight here after Live to Tell. You have a new subscriber.

Your reaction here finally got me subscribed. From early on (like in this mid-80s song) through today, Madonna in her artistry has consistently tackled socio-political issues that resonate with her and to many people who see through her music/messaging when it was risky and controversial to do. She was ahead of the time and she was courageous and took on a lot of heat and vilification from religious and conservative bigots. She’s not content being ‘entertaining’ in her artistry, she wants people to think, talk about these issues-exactly the way you’re reacting to it. As one who admire her artistry, she’s inspiring and liberating. In your insight here and in her other songs you’ve reacted to, I believe you’re kindred spirits with her advocacy for freedom of expression/thought-freedom of artistic expression-including the freedom to swear!!

If you look at the video footage at the beginning where’s she’s a little girl, you see her playing with The Pink Panther. It then appears again on her bed at the end of the video. I love attention to detail like that. ❤

    Your reaction to Frozen showed
up in my feed, which led me to your Madonna playlist.
I've been into her sound and art since
the summer of 1984. I heard her song
Lucky Star, it was love at first listen,
then i saw the video, said love was
    reinforced and galvanized.
    It's never wavered since.
I highly doubt it ever will.
As a longtime fan, i can tell you this:
She repeats the same themes in her entire discography and videography
    Love
    Sex
    and Truth
However she never, ever repeats her sound.
She's constantly evolving and experimenting with her music.
She's an artist who likes to color with every crayon in her box. No two albums are ever the same. Each of her eras are a progression/evolution of her art and creativity.
She's written 91% of the songs in her entire discography, and produced 73% if it.
I have a benevolent envy of you, because you're a virgin to her catalog. (Pun intended)
She's currently on a very successful
world tour. She's been getting sh*t on
by her haters because she's 65 years
old, and refuses to conform to what a
65 year old woman should be doing.
    Which means she's doing what
    she does best, expressing herself.
Enjoy everything you're about to experience.
    It's going to be quite
    the ride.

G'day it's Steven from down under again
I was at the tender age of 17 when this song was released and not only was this a brilliant pop song, but i was mesmerised by her beauty.
I recall this was yet another controversial song regarding young-pregnancy and of course she was crucified by certain groups.
ALL HAIL THE QUEEN OF POP!

  • @mixingmatt

Madonna may not be the strongest vocalist (and she'd be the first to admit that), but you cannot deny that she is just an all around ARTIST. Very few people can claim to be even close to her level of artistry. She can really paint a picture and get out a message with her lyrics and her dancing is impeccable. I just began my Madonna journey like 5 years ago and I cannot believe I did not give her a chance sooner.
Oh and I don't think any of us mind you getting personal. It's nice to humanize and relate to someone doing reaction videos. It shows you're connecting to the art and let's us know that you're on the same page as we are.

Madonna pushes buttons and it is ok to be emotional, i do not understand why you are surprised to get emotional on a Madonna song.....Madonna is a very emotional person! She said this song was pro-choice, pro- life. It was up to her to make that choice. She made the choice of having her baby. The church and the religious people gave her so much shit for this song. Yet we're still battling with this issue. Insane how history repeats itself.

    • @theConquerersMama
      @theConquerersMama 9 месяцев назад

      Right?
I was a senior at a catholic girls school when this came out.
Parents didn't want this played on campus. But also had to admit that having an example of "doing the right thing" was better than what they expected her to say.
      Ugh... such times.
Lots of people end up with unplanned families. As my parents said, the timing was unexpected but the package was the best gift ever.
      Choice is the key though.

Im with you, we can love Madonna and Metallica at the same time, Lol. Back in the day, there was a huge controversy when this song came out. All the religious right (which was super prevalent back then) and parents were clutching their pearls. They said she was promoting teen pregnancy but her whole msg was that teens were getting pregnant anyway so she was giving them a msg to not be scared to talk to their parents about it.

This song as you may guess was absolutly groundbreaking for the 80s, and it even today. One of my favourite Madonna moments is her singing this song in her tour while images of the pope and ronald reagan where being projected as a form of protest during the HIV crisis. Her tour dates for Rome tried to be cancelled by the Vatican. She is an absolute artist with a punk attitude that redefined what pop and music could be.
