I learned a lot - the initial auto subtitling is very dependent upon the quality of the sound recording, my bluetooth telephone microphone and recording environment were rubbish (I sounded like a squeaky parrot) so the auto subtitles were rubbish too, requiring a lot of corrections. I need to work on that, maybe do voice commentary while driving but replace it with the same words spoken into a better microphone at my desk before doing the first auto subtitle. What you are doing is the next stage and your translations will be highly dependent upon the accuracy and good grammar of the subtitles you are working from. My ultimate aim is to take foreign films with their subtitles in their native language and convert them to English language. For personal use only. I'm just doing this for the intellectual challenge, keeping my 70yo brain working.

You mentioned that we can add as many machine translation engines for "Auto Translate" as long as we have the licence key - I was wondering how differnet engines can be added into the tool? let's say I have the licence key to Google MT and DeepL MT - how can I add these to the list of available MT engines? I started to use subtitle edit app as one of the free's so I can practice transcription and translating. It was great expirience but I have one problem and I hope you can help me solve it. Both videos I made with subs have an issue, two seconds in the beginning subs are blured when I play the video. The rest of the subs are ok. What happened? Can I fix it somehow so that won't happen again?

That is a very big question. I live in a country that buys in a lot of foreign TV programmes and I think they use teams of actors to do voiceovers which replace the original soundtrack. Expensive and laborious I imagine but they must have the viewers to make doing it worthwhile. If I understand you correctly I think you are asking for the holy grail. Maybe one day someone will sell it to you.
