Fun fact. Most people don't realize that in both scenes of revealing her as a man, the background music is from the movie Crying Game. If you look that movie up then you'll immediately know why they chose that song lol
@@darkerkyo I did a brief AI synopsis for you: *The Crying Game* (1992) is a British film directed by Neil Jordan, set against the backdrop of the Troubles in Northern Ireland. It follows Fergus, an IRA member who kidnaps a British soldier, Jody. As they bond during captivity, Jody asks Fergus to care for his girlfriend, Dil, leading Fergus to London after Jody's death. There, he develops a complex romantic relationship with Dil, who reveals she is transgender. The film explores themes of identity, love, and betrayal, culminating in a dramatic conclusion that challenges perceptions of loyalty and nature.
@@darkerkyo Also, the music (the song you hear in that scene) is from that movie (the crying game). "The Crying Game" is a song written by Geoff Stephens, first recorded by Dave Berry in 1964, becoming his first top-ten hit in the UK. The song's themes revolve around love and heartbreak, encapsulated in its memorable line about revealing deep emotions. Boy George later covered the song in 1992, reaching number one in Canada and becoming a significant part of the film's soundtrack. The song's various renditions contribute to the film's exploration of identity and desire, making it an integral element of both the music and narrative of *The Crying Game* [1].
Probably many younger people here I caught the dolphin rinsing out his mouth also. I was waiting for a joke from the 1960's on a "Margaret Howe Lovatt"who actually had um ....encounters with a dolphin.

+vinsanity40k If she's still alive, I wonder how she feels now about the role, considering where we are with the treatment of Trans people in pop culture and in real life.

This movie got one big thing wrong. The Dolphins played them The Washington Redskins and lost. They did not play the Eagles as were shown in the movie. They lost 27-17 Redskins.

Why share this on a random you tube comment? It just seems like the right thing to do.
I understand that, nowadays, this movie is looked down upon because of the whole Trans thing. But, if you could mentally go back to the 90s regardless, it's still one of the funniest things ever.
Having transwomen be seen as disgusting and unworthy of love is unacceptable these days thankfully. Senses of humor change over time and honestly this scene did more harm than good for society
@@FlowWolf7 This scene has absolutely NOTHING to do with portraying transwomen as disgusting or whatever, but thank you for explaining the moronic mindset of our times - makes me ever so more grateful to have spent the majority of my life in a less-stupid era. I used to try to excuse this scene as not being transphobic because the character technically wasn’t trans. They went full into that personality to infiltrate police and get their revenge but I realize now that even if that was true, this scene directly contributes to transphobia. It’s not funny.
I’m pretty sure straight man who had this happen to them, or if it happens to them, will react how they want. Not because a movie or TV show did it, you don’t make any sense and you know it Just trying to cancel actors and movies
Transphobia would mean unreasonable fear. This is very such reasonable, and not even fear more like disgust. Also disgust is a feeling, not controllable.
@@CsongorCsatlósThe transphobia is the part when everyone gags and when Ace Ventura cries and burns his clothes once they realise they kissed a man. They liked it when they thought she was a woman. Whether Ray Finkel really is transsexual or just pretending so he can hide is a different discussion.
