  • John Deere W150 swather swathing canola in Saskatchewan, Canada. I cut some canola to start the season and always good to begin harvest that way!!

    swathing is one part of harvest that is not really expressed on youtube! whenever i worked in canada is was one of my most favorite parts. thanks for the video! this is parkland ventures, right?

      Not a big part of farming anymore,but in the 80s as a kid in far NW Minnesota hours on the old Versatile 400 were needed. It was essential with harvesting being a much slower process, no giant grain carts, using an L2 to it maximum with the 7.0L diesel, bin extensions and large floatation tires, it kept up with the TR96. Pickup headers could be tricking when large knots would appear, clogging the combine even if you tried piece by piece. I much preferred running a pickup header.

    Very green. How long until you can harvest this, or is it for feed, I have no idea

      2-3 weeks until harvest after it was swathed

    What's your thoughts on that swather? We have 2 old case swathers and I'd like to upgrade to a macdon m150 someday
