- Mark Weiss has been my friend since 1987. I have read pretty much every rock 'n' roll biography there is worth reading and you never know what to expect when you pick up a new book. @@relentlessflashbackin That's an interesting post but the 70's also gave us Southern Rock and Fleetwood Mac - if you haven't check out their Tusk album - I think should.. The 70's also gave birth to Punk and Blondie and the whole CBGB scene..
Every decade has been good for hard rock and metal. Even recently, but you have to research bands and albums nowadays, because the great ones don't get radio play or much media coverage.

I listened to Skid Row in 89 more than ANY other Band. I was a long haired rebel Metal Head, and the long summer days and nights with my Girlfriend were the times I will never forget. Skid Row was the sound Track to all those memories too. Thanks for the Epic Music Sabastian.

I was only 6 years old in 89 but already a music fanatic and metalhead. My mom got me into rock n roll, bought me my first guitar, and let me grow my hair long. My kindergarten photo I have hair down past my shoulders haha. I never stopped loving rock n roll, but my mom hates it now. She respects the talent though
Im 46. Miss those days. They seem very quint and innocent now. I feel so strongly about that and for over a year, that after i bought the gnr catalogue on vinyl last year, its been 1987 again in my mind.

Getting Along Alone I was 18 in 1989. I went to a snotty private high school in New Jersey and they weren’t quite sure what to do with me because I listened to “that kind” of music lol. The music scene was just so much fun... boyfriends stealing our eyeliner... Spandex... hair permed out to there! God I miss it.
This guy is a legend. When you meet him in person he is truly the nicest and most genuine person ever! Stephen Pearcy could definitely take some lessons from Sebastian!😅😉💜🎤

80's rock was THE BEST! Our kids will never get to experience the true love of music. And concerts now are NOTHING like they were then. Love the excitement!! So cool.

I gotta have that book, I’m definitely buying it. It’s my favorite decade even though I was pretty young during that time. The bands of the 80’s changed my life and made me who I am today. Without rock n roll I wouldn’t be a guitarist, and music fanatic.

Loved Skid Row late 80's, early 90's. Had Sebastians poster in my room as a teen. Loved his singing voice. So awesome he kept his long hair. Really cool seeing him in a down to earth setting with his family.

My mom is 85 this year and she used to drop me off to all the concerts in the 80s and hang out in the "parent's room" in the Salt Palace and listen to all the bands while I was in the concert (she even had a conversation with Jaime St. James when he was in Black and Blue and they opened for Lita Ford and Yngwie). I know what she'll be getting for her birthday this year.
