    Good game. :)
Here's a tip: Whenever you hover over a mineral patch, train your eyes to quickly check the saturation numbers for gas and minerals.
Your first Refinery had 2 workers in it for basically ever. 😉
Same with the 2 Refineries at your third, You built them, but then didn't saturate them. So only 1 worker was assigned to each of them (the ones that built them).

      hey Jan!
Great to see you pop up.
I know, i am so dumb sometimes. there will be games where im great at this, and then games like this where i dont think about it for some reason. i will try my best to eliminate silly mistakes like this ASAP

A bit of advice about harassment. Your goal isn't to kill workers, your goal is to harass the enemy player. You're playing against another human and they're probably following a plan in their head but harassment makes them deviate and stresses their attention. It also forces out a response from the enemy and making them lose mining time. This is very good against Zerg because they make units and drones from the same pool of larva. Zerglings may only cost 50 for 2, but in the early game especially, they cost way more because each pair means one less drone. This is really bad when paired with the fact that you need a lot of zerglings for them to actually do anything.

Actually that was an awesome game & just barely enough to call it a "deserving win". 😊
"MACRO TO WIN" is what pros called it. It wasn't perfect but just barely close enough.
Though if there's one thing U can add in the fight is called "Splits" or "Marine Splits" for basic just go for "Pre-Splits".
Its a move specially TvZ where U go "Bait & Entrap" the Enemy
    1. Spread entire army near the engagement area
    2. Send a squad to "lure enemy"
    3. If Enemy is Splash(Banes & Biles) keep them spread, else gather everyone & close-in on them.
    4. Hope U can handle it 😊

    Ollie,
    Scout.
Great job on getting your initial harass earlier than usual. I like the 5:30 timing better than your later drops.
Macro during battles. Pig's rule is you can watch a fight for 5 seconds before returning to macro. Practice it now so you get good at it for Diamond league.

You know, one thing i think i do well, even if im watching a fight, is making sure im producing back at home. you should be able to see me switching through the production menus whilst the fight is happening. But i will train myself to look at the fight less.
      Thanks dude

@@Voidspacealpha You should be producing buildings too, like extra bases and rax. your minerals get too high

Yeah, I was screaming scout the whole game. Then he took that fight outside of the range of his tanks *smh*.

This is why I know I have to do more harassment.
      Those attacks are scouting

Easy one here. Starting to use control group at least dor thst medivsc. When you see on minimap it's being sttscked. Instead of using your mouse to click on minimap. Double click the control group on your keyboard and takes you right there.

      i did this!
I'm proud of myself because i used control group 3 to do the drop.
Granted, no drops really happened after that, but i did do it :p

    Ollie, good evening mate.
I'd suggest learning to use a reaper to do a secondary scout. Bring back that 1st drone scout, get an early reaper, send it over, looking around the map on the way for cheese, scout what they are doing, and you can do minimal harass while you get your marines/medivac harass up and running.

Adding a reaper first out of the barracks gives you a scout with a chance to get some early kills. If you can kill a drone, prove or scv good plus you get some info. But if they’re not ready or out of position or greedy you can get real great damage and then the 4 minute harass drop becomes a potential game ender.

i do want to try this. i used to do it but i sucked at reaper control and my macro would always suffer

ill give it another go and see if i'm any better

One unit that’s very good against large numbers of lings is hellbats. A second factory with a reactor to pump hellbats alongside a tech lab for tanks is nice against Zerg. And marauders are good against banes and roach/ravager. Especially with concussive. A good thing to do against a zerg building banes is to stutter step the marines away and target fire the banes over the lings. Still a good game on your part you earned the victory with determination to stim and win. 😂

I think i was just lucky this game. there was a lot i did from a technical perspective very badly.

I dont know about "Not deserving to win". Clearly you had more and better stuff, so your macro was better, which is most important. Poeple take notice of flashy micro, but what most often wins you the games, specially below pro level, is macro. I often get these games when an opponent does crazy micro multiprongs, , i defend with no major losses, then i counter and roll him over. Those guys often are then salty and type stuff " you did nothing, protoss op". Mate you microed your units, while your macro at home sucked and you just had much less stuff as result, so yeah, i a-moved you in the end.
