  • Thank you for watching the ULTIMATE TRAVEL GUIDE to Jackson, Wyoming. This video explores how to get here, how to get around, where to stay, where to eat and what there is to do in this remarkable town. If you are considering visiting Jackson (or Grand Teton or Yellowstone National Parks) this video is made for you.
    Jackson, Wyoming - the town no one can afford to live in but we are still allowed to visit! And thank goodness for that as Jackson, Wyoming offers the visitor so much. If you love wandering around, shopping, eating, and drinking coffee, Jackson has you covered.
    If you love adventures outdoors (camping, boating, hot-air ballooning, skiing, white water rafting, or floating the river) yup, Jackson has all of that and more.
    If you prefer to seek out nature and wander into one of America's greatest wonders (Grand Teton), well, it's right next door. Wildlife? Where do I begin - yes, tons of wildlife to see.
    This video is for Janean...

The area is known for its stunning natural beauty, wildlife, and outdoor recreational opportunities.
    One of the main attractions in Jackson is Grand Teton National Park, which is just a few miles outside of town. The park features towering peaks, crystal-clear lakes, and abundant wildlife. Another must-see attraction in the area is Yellowstone National Park, which is located about an hour and a half away from Jackson. The world's first national park, Yellowstone is known for its geothermal features, such as Old Faithful, and its abundant wildlife, including bison, elk, and bears. Thank you for the comment. My favorite time to visit is later September maybe into early October. The aspen trees are turning and it's truly beautiful (but, it can get a little cold too). Last week of December is fun - lots going on (New Years etc.) but a little chilly.

    Thank you for this video. I am from Paris France and planning to visit Wyoming next August ( Teton and Yellowstone NP) for 3 weeks . As you said, the lodging is « super expensive » Is there any town to stay around Jackson, even at 1 hour drive? Thanks for your advises 🙏🏻

    • @traveleaz
      @traveleaz  9 месяцев назад +1

      I would strongly suggest looking at Driggs, Idaho. You'll see the other side of the Tetons, it's still absolutely beautiful and accommodation is WAY cheaper. Driggs is less than one-hour from Jackson. There is also Victor, Idaho (even closer) but there is less development there. Enjoy your stay!!

    I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦 and plan to visit Jackson Wild/Hole to attend the filmfestival. I've never been in places like that and is very scared if I hear about the financial costs visit Jackson. How can our team survive on the South African Rand for that time 😮. Any suggestions please.

    • @traveleaz
      @traveleaz  11 месяцев назад +1

      Truth is, Jackson is expensive. If you want to stay in Jackson you might want to check out rendezvous mountain rentals. They rent condos etc and you can fit a number of people into the condos (and it will have a kitchen if you want to eat in). A cheaper option is Driggs in Idaho. It’s on the backside of the Tetons and in the summer an easy drive - but it is another hour from Jackson. Food can be expensive but there are some cheaper options - I find eating out a little frustrating due to crowds (having to wait) and lack of staff. Thankfully enjoying grand Teton park is relatively cheap to enjoy.

    Wanting to plan a trip September 28 - October 5th this year. Is this a good time, okay time, or bad time to travel to Jackson?

    • @traveleaz
      @traveleaz  Месяц назад +1

      I think this is the best time! The aspen trees are still on fire (meaning the colors are awesome) and it is far less crowded. There could be some snow on the Tetons too. The weather is cooler but just bring a warm jacket.

    Where's a cheaper place to go skiing or snowboarding?

    • @traveleaz
      @traveleaz  10 месяцев назад

      Grand Targhee is $120 per day and Snow King is (I believe) $75. I think Jackson Hole ski resort is $200 or more per day now, which only the local billionaires can enjoy.

      You're right, Cheyenne is the capital. And yes, a beautiful place for sure (and yes, Dr. Mary Neal does live this - with a hoard of other famous/wealthy people such as Harrison Ford).

      @@traveleaz Thanks for your comment...it seems Dr Mary Neal is so famous that everyone in the city knows her.
      I live in Korea. I am Korean. But I went to university in Colorado and I drove through Wyoming on I 80 a couple of times. It was more than 10 years ago.
      Scenery was so impressive that I still recollect the time. I miss Wyoming as well as Colorado.
      I wish I could move there to Jackson...I have never been to Jackson but it looks an ideal city I have been dreaming of.
      Thank you.
