There will be a team in the manga that Karasuno faces who will do super quick against them. They are going to pick up on it during match and instantly use it themselves. So yeah , Hinata and Kageyama will meet their match.

im seeing all these comments about how kageyama gets no credit for what he does but at least one person calls him a genius in like every episode. Sure hinata does get a lot of credit but I think kageyama gets more and his praise is a lot higher. The most theyve ever said about Hinata is that hes fast and has good stamina. Thats it whereas kageyama gets called a genius setter and all. its crazy how you guys say that Hinata gets the credit when hes constantly criticised for other things like his serving and receiving. Kageyama is never criticised during a match. maybe when he's tired but barely
the thing tho is that it’s precisely because kageyama is called a genius that he doesn’t get much credit for what he does. because kageyama is a genius, that’s true. but on top of all that genius he also takes volleyball more seriously than most people (except hinata and other volleyball idiots) and trains rlly hard. he is ALREADY a genius and yet he still works so hard and practices so much supplementing his natural talent. most people see him and compliment him for his ‘genius’, but he usually never gets acknowledged for his hard work, instead being complimented for his super accuracy and good game sense. but what he should be praised for is that he worked super duper hard for this one quick that only one player - hinata - can use. ofc hinata should also get credit for what he does (like when he goes to the old coach ukai and trains so that he can get better at mid air battles, or *spoiler alert* when he crashes the miyagi camp to observe the other players and learn skills). but it’s wrong to say that kageyama gets all the credit and hinata none. personally i think both of them need more credit for their hard work.
its like kageyama is lvl 70 so it takes more time to improve bcs he is already good meanwhile hinata is like lvl 20 so he has a bigger potential to improve

Fun fact: the toss(the one that falls) that kageyama does is possible, although it's a bit more exaggerated in the anime.

It's extremely hard to do which is why it's not as common and it proves how talented kageyama really is.
some would say it's illegal because spin(which is what kills the balls horizontal momentum) is usually seen as an indicative of double which is illegal in volleyball.
I Always thought this to be illegal and I've never seen a setter do this type of set.
The real Problem is, that there is no real reason to do this. Mostly because it is much more effective to play the ball just in a straight Line with more Speed. Especially as a middle, even in VNL mid is 100% about Tempo, they hit the ball Not even close as hard as the other 3 attackers. Absolutely no point in a Set, that will keep the ball in a certain area longer.

I'm a volleyball player myself, and if you had spent a long time with your team it's actually possible that you will know what your teammates plans to do without discussing it sometimes... And of course not just in volleyball but in other sports too!

I think it is interesting how some lines get translated differently throughout the languages. I watched Haikyuu with german subs but i watch Haikyuu related content in english and there are one or two things that stood out, for instance right before Hinata and Kageyamas first new quick attack, Hinata says "your're not gonna do it?", whereas in german he says "Ich glaube an dich", which translates into "i belive in you".
remembering the times when this anime was just starting, just waiting to smirk everytime karasuno gets an upgrade 🤣

Actually they are both each others shadow in different situations like kageyama is hinata's shadow when he does the quick because people see hinata as the one with the fast and very high jump but there are also times where hinata is kageyama's shadow in situations like people tend to say that hinata is nothing without kageyama's toss or without kageyama the accuracy of hinatas spikes would not be made just like what the coach of shiratorizawa said hinata is nothing useless or worthless without kageyama.

This is a huge reminder to what Oikawa said, that Hinata is the one in charge of the Quick. Hinata made Kageyama do the toss even though he wasn't gonna. It's not "Can you give me a toss.", it's "Give me your toss."
