This is a useful video to learn how to remove the engine from your tiller, however, you don't need to pull the engine off. You can replace the belt in 5 minutes by just moving between forward and reverse gears to pull it out the back and put a new one on.

Its been a minute since ive replaced belts on a horse, but all i ever did was use a small pry bar, worked out the old belts and then worked in the new belts. 20 min tops. Ive done several that way. Feed it out and back in from the side that is open. Belt number GW-9245.

This is good. I need to take my motor off so I can replace the front transmission seal. I also have new OEM Troy Bilt belts to put on just because.

My tiller tried to run away on me. Maybe I need to learn the technique or is there something wrong with the machine? Everyone makes it look easy.

Depending how hard and dry your ground is, you might want to start out tilling a little bit shallow. You can adjust the time depth at the rear.

@@therustichandyman Ok thank you. It is a grass lawn that has just been grass for decades. Not quite dry.
I will try scraping down layer by layer and see how that goes.
I just got the tiller a few hours ago, so I should probably do a once over on things like the carb and engine oil, and then give that another try.
      Thanks!

@@thedillestpickle you will definitely need to start super shallow and gradually increase your depth. It will take several times going over it if it’s just been grass.
