Thanks. I've been dipping stuff for a while now so I figured why not this?

I really like how you kinda hydro dipped the PVC rod holder......

Very creative I like diy projects and enjoy using pvc as it doesn't rot.

I can honestly say the shape of this rod holder works better for me personally than the other 3 name brand units I own. PVC is great for DIY stuff. It used to be a lot cheaper but still worth it depending on the project

Thank you! You can get some cheapies at Walmart but I literally had these items hanging around in a plumbing bucket!

@@projectknifehand yeah it’s definitely a good way to do it, especially if you have some laying around!

Did you use a silicone spray or clear afterwards

I always do yes. Giving the paint and clears plenty of time to cure certainly increases durability. Especially on plastic. It's hard to get paint to bond to plastic. It takes far longer to cure. So you can start with a bonding primer or you can wait like two weeks to cure lol

    I made 2 under 30 bucks as well 😊

Yeah man it's a good idea for sure. It's too bad the price of PVC is so out of control. It used to make a good diy alternative. I made a video for diy fishing rod tubes/ kayak rack and one 10 foot section of 3 inch pipe is like 46 bucks.
