Hibernation Ted Nugent's Most Impossible Song To Play From Start To Finish!

  • Hello, fellow ToneGod Warriors. After a great many, many hours with Hibernation, I want to thank my wife for her tolerance for guitar feedback in the house. She doesn't understand it, but I am ever so thankful for my Circle of Nuge friends out there that appreciate what we do!
I have come to the very humble conclusion that while I'm able to play most of the components of Hibernation, that Ted Nugent is absolutely the only one on earth who can perform this song as he does. I'm afraid it would be a Klstrphnky of colossal proportions if I attempted this one live.
I want to thank my good buddy, The Master of Live Audio, Greg Hagood for sending that awesome Ibanez bass! We miss you and "It's Time To Come Home" my friend, if you know what I mean!
And a special Thanks to Charles Jolliff for carving and sharing the Punisher!
Thank you all for all the great comments and friendships we've made!

Ted is one of the most under rated genius guitar player, power rift after rift, one of my favorites. Hard to imitate, you do a killer job glad I found the video. Hope you make more long live the motor city madman! Lol

This is my favorite song of all time, I'm glad to see you do a video on it! If it wasnt 2 in the morning, I'd be working on these licks immediately. Despite that, I'm gonna be on this video for quite a while. Thanks for the video, again. I really appreciate that you went through the time of figuring the licks out and running through them. While I basically know the song by heart, thats just in my head and on air guitar, haha!

The making of this video made me realize more than ever, there is only one person on earth that can properly pull this one off.

I have so many live recordings of this going back to 73. He nails it everytime with just a little improv in the middle. Once Derek left the song never gets played. Derek added some incredible backing . A long with migration it's Ted at his best

It’s amazing how musical Ted was able to make this instrumental with just two chords going back and forth. It’s a masterclass in dynamics… soft quieter moments then building up into raging energy. It tells a story, you can close your eyes and visualize it. Thanks for the breakdown!

wondering if ted has ever asked to use ur riff additions to his stuff...I guess you'd call them embellishments? Nice gear behind you, that twin reverb and Kustom cabinet...did you get that cabinet from a john fogerty garage sale? Nice to see a video again dude appreciate it.

The most recent , 90 seconds of Hibernation. The guitar is begging for mercy as Ted opens up on it.
