my warlock is a reborn who died thousands of years ago, and his patron (who is a lich) cut off his own finger to be his phylactery. he then sewed it on to my character before bringing him back to life as a sort of phylactery guard.

Not really a warlock patron, but the quest-giver of our campaign was a ghost who had protected the village for hundreds of years and wanted to move on. She was basically a lich, requiring specific tasks to kill her. She gave us those tasks as quests. It was later revealed that she had lived in what is now the present day, had survived nuclear war and watched humanity crawl back from tribes of post-apocalyptic barbarians to an established medieval society.
The final boss fight had her conjure up rusting construction vehicles from underground. While the enemy had hordes of undead, we had bulldozers and excavators on our side.

My character, Summer is a Bardlock. She is a native of Barovia (running curse of strahd), and early on in her life, a blight struck her small town. She's a variant human with plant features, and her family was too. She, not even two weeks old, was in critical condition. Her brother was the only relative left to take care of her... when her future patron stepped in. In exchange for payment in the form of gold from the family shop, the Archfae nursed her back to health, and then was given back to her brother, though, while he was in the forest looking for help, their parents dissapeared. Skip forward, to her adulthood at the start of the campagin, she had Fae Touched due to her early expereince, but, she discovers an entity made of blight below the Death Manor with the party, with her parent's horns (her speicies has branch like horns) sticking out of the hideous, angry monster, and she barely makes it out alive. She buries her parents, when her patron reveals herself... She asks her for one favor. To undo the suffering caused to this land. She agrees.

Lawful good warlock: their patron is themself, from the future, trying their hardest to get their extremely stupid past self to clean up their act. No elderich deeds or faustian bargains needed! Why no elderich blast? You didn't eat your veggies!

Not me but my brother. He's making an undead warlock tank. Basically his back story is that in a bid of desperation and unable to find work he signed his soul away to the company that owns a local mining town and works for them as a miner. So basically the company is his patron. After years of servitude he set out to get enough money to buy out his contract and pay off his debt to the company store. When is character succeeds a death save he hears his old foreman telling him that if he doesnt get back to work he's docking his pay. XD the concept is based off the song Sixteen Tons.

My (unusually small) silver Dragonborn was trying to escape a life of bullying by joining a group of pirates so she could see the world and learn to be stronger, an incident occurred with a merchant vessel that made her regret her decisions for ever joining in the first place and then an unusually powerful storm causes her to fall over board only to wake up on a beach with tentacle abilities, which she believes is a curse. Rather boringly, they’re Patron in human form would look like Davy Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean but with more tentacles.

My Hexblade Warforged Warlock is a weapon created by his patron to achieve some sort of goal (I haven’t decided yet), but for an unknown reason he was just dropped into the Material plane with no memory of his creation, and was basically adopted by the rest of the party shortly after to help hunt down a dragon. While he may not know what he was created for, he does have a strange urge to collect trophies from powerful foes that he encounters, which has something to do with what his “patron” made him for. I’ve flavored it that his Warlock abilities are features that are built into his body and are being unlocked as he levels up.

I've had an idea of making a Warlock character that acts as a diplomat for a Fey being, who actively tries to get the attention of authority figures to discuss whatever his Lord/Lady would ask of him. Everything from treaties, alliances and trade routes to conditions of surrender, depending on what his Lord/Lady is asking of him and what the party is currently up to.

The player wanted to also be an undead archeologist. Which also worked with my homebrew. I had epic fun I hope he did too. The whole party had lots of laughs. I'm remembering an empersonation of mushu's "I'm your worst nightmare" gag in Mulan...the animated, one.

I run a character named Bluddi who is a plasmoid Trickery Cleric/Echo Knight Fighter. She's a blood golem who can exsanguinate people and gain their attributes. She woke up in a cave, at the scene of a battle, and instinctively started drinking from the two bodies that were there. One was a young priestess who saw the good in everybody, while the other was a knight who wanted to protect the innocent. When she started forming thoughts, she found she had aspects of both of these personalities, and vowed never to exsanguinate another creature like that again. Now she travels with her group, using her "goopy" abilities to heal or to create clones of herself in battle.

My warlocks patron is a random pit fiend. But the twist is that she was actually forced into this by her parents who were devil cultists. After they tried to sacrifice her, she killed them both, and made it her life mission to topple Asmodeus. However, the pit fiend still thinks that he can get her on his side. This continues differently depending on the campaign. Sometimes, Ea becomes a full cleric as she loses ties to her patron. Sometimes, she fails a Charisma save, and sides with the devils. One time, she became a demon lord. Sometimes, my brother claims that my character isn’t lore-accurate. I tell him that this is D and D and that he can go fuck himself.

Pointy hat made both a warlock dragon patron and a race called Dragontouched that was more or less Tieflings but if Dragons instead of fiends. My idea was a socialite woman who had exotic features of partial dragon like horns, little wings, a tail and scale patches, but now the soul of an evil dragon from her ancestorial bloodline was going to try to take her over as a new vessel, and she has to deal with the dragon parts becoming more prominent and spreading over her

My current Warlock is a Merfolk Bard turned Human Warlock through a deal with a Sea Witch.
His Patron is called The Deep. He seems to be an old God seeking to regain power, and the Gods in this world gain their power through belief.
So part of my bargain is to spread the word that “The Deep is Rising.”
The more powerful he gets the more my character is scared of him.
In the beginning he was just kind of this unknowable entity, and now he has the power to destroy a minor God in an instant!

My Warlock's patron started as a nondescript ancient all powerful being - think the Pale Night kind of ancient, older than the void kind of stuff. I never clarified in my backstory exactly who or what it was since I wanted to give the DM flexibility to work it into the story due to our campaign being set in a world my DM's friend had made and that the DM had played in before. At some point someone at the table had made an out of character joke that the all powerful being could only have been the DM themselves and it just kind of stuck. At first I kind of felt like we had shoe horned this idea onto the DM but after a while they really started to get into the RP of it and now its great because every once in a while when I'm rolling inspiration I'll get to have a little 4th wall break where I shout out "can I get a little fudging of the numbers now and again, Dice God".

The one warlock I've got should, lore wise, really be more of a sorcerer, but mechanically I prefer the hexblade for the skillful charisma caster vibe, although the idea of a 'patron' influencing things still works incredibly well for it. He isn't so much the person who made the deal, but a result of it. His mother was a village woman who was believed to be infertile because she never bore a child in her marriage, and was divorced/her husband left/died/etc. No one else wanted to marry her because of her perceived infertility, and the village didn't shed too many tears when she disappeared in the forest foraging one day. At least until she returned around a year later, with a newborn child in her arms.
Her story was that she had discovered a noble while she was out that day, and they had fallen in love, resulting in a child, meaning she wasn't infertile after all. However, because he was a bastard, they had to be sent away, and so she returned to her home with the child (she was dressed in fancy clothes and had some coin on her, so it was believable enough). But, as the child grew up, it was clear that there was something... weird... about him. His magical abilities started to manifest, subtly at first. He had unnatural charisma and could compel people with his words (Persuasion+Deception invocation + charm/suggestion spells). It grew worse the older he got, and the village began to whisper that he was a cursed child, and that the mother had made a pact with a devil/fae/whatever to have a child of her own. Eventually the village's hostility at them grew, and so she left, taking herself and her child to the city.
The character just thinks it was village persecution for his magical talent. However, he really WAS conceived as part of a 'deal' with a fae noble, with the plot hook of how his father operates left open to the DM. Personally I like the idea of a remote but supportive supernatural father myself, maybe the story of falling in love and being a mistress was true, and the Lord's Lady took exception at his mortal lover which required them to leave.

    Hi! New DnD player here!
One of my favorite characters I've made is one named Drown. He's also a Water Genasi, with seaweed-like hair that always covers one eye (Edgy, but for a reason).
He sought power for whatever reason, and so he contacted a Patron I made called Granalga. She also goes by "The Swamp's Weed" and "Grass-Eyes", just imagine a massive yeti covered in swamp plants. Among other things, she wanted to be able to see through his eyes. He didn't like this, but Granalga isn't a fan of being disagreed with. So she offered to only see through his eye when given the ability by him, and she would "take something" from him. He didn't understand after saying yes, and got a part of his personality stolen, as well as all memories around it.
Extra: Whenever he officially swears loyalty to anyone else, his lungs fill with swamp water, stopping him. So there's that!

My Warlock was designed in collaboration with my DM at the time. I have incorporated him into my own game for my students as my BBEG. He was designed to be a Lord of the Hells, but one who was not strong enough to transport himself into the Material Plane. At least, not with his Delightfully Devilish abilities. Effectively, my Warlock is his own Patron!
He was able to split a small part of himself from his original form and transport it to the Material Plane. This physical form focuses his energy in the form of violent meditation. As a result, he was able to sap extremely finite amounts of his power from the Hells.
As the BBEG, he seeks to harness the Magical Bleeds to enhance this physical form, and upon returning to the Hells, he will reunite his two aspects, and reach his "Final Form," and assume control of both the Hells, and the Material Plane.
The players have been working alongside the BBEG and are none the wiser. He's too hot to see through, it would seem.

My Warlock was mentored (and was essentially adopted) by a god of Death who was basically retired and ran a library with his brother. My character already had some ice powers in contrast to his Fighter-Sorcerer sister's fire magics (said sister was mentored/adopted by God of Death's brother, also retired and running this library, the God of Blood)- the cold and the death motifs went really well together, so my character is growing stronger in both domains of that magic. Perhaps a little too strong, though; my character died in the 4th session (was clearly a death intended by the DM, for my character's plot that I was not quite aware of) and was able to revive himself thanks to his connection to Death.
The thing is, every time he uses his death-related powers in a major way, more of his body (first arm, then spread to torso) rots in a similar way to the blackened limbs his patron hides. When he next spoke to his patron, he was told off for dying (in a very fatherly way) and warned that if he does that again, even if he is able to revive himself the consequences will be basically lethal. Except... he died again, and was able to walk away. Then again, and he even sprouted wings in a super cool scene of char, ash, and fire (he was killed by his mind controlled, fire wielding sister and her husband)
The God of Death is extremely confused by this. Well, I and my PC just found out why we were able to keep coming right back to life and survive an actively rotting body... in the last 2 sessions we met and got to know my character's biological father. Great guy, fun dude, apparently has banged the Goddess of Life and had a pact with her that allowed my PC's father to also come back to life multiple times (the dad's consequence to dying, instead of rotting seems to be that he's slowly turning into a ghost, but that's not confirmed yet)
So yeah. Technically my PC is just a Warlock of the Death god, but also thanks to his lineage has a pact with the Life Goddess. I'm not gonna take too much advantage of my character being seemingly immortal, I suspect my DM has set a specific number of "lives" I have, but it'll be very interesting to see how this plays out and how I can use this for my pc's own character arc as well as his sisters'!

The Lady of Lost Toys. A massive. And i do mean MASSIVE porcelyn doll, with one of thise long body covering european gowns. Her face is smashed in, showing a rusted copper skull underneith, the green giving an odd contrast to her blonde hair and powder white dress.
She takes the lost and forgotten, and makes them into living plush toys. They can frolic in her realm, watch her pacted warlocks on the big scrying screen, or act as familiars to thise who need them.
As part of the pact, i must help any Lost Souls i come across, yelping them find their way or, if I cant, opening the doorway on my side to let them go to her realm.
She chose me as her Warlock because i was one of those lost souls. I enjoyed playing with mybtoys alone in the quiet as a child, and noone really enjoyed my silent playtimes but me. So, more often thrn not i was left to my own devices. Until i suddenly had a playmate in the Lady, who animated my toys to let me play with them as she watched and cooed.
Flavor wise this basically gives me a unique summon spell that basically makes living stuffed animals and terrifying dolls. Sort of like a mix of Summon Beast and Summon Monster.

So, my last 2 characters was dabbled in warlock, and as such, their patrons differed, though they were effectively the same character, different world. The first one wasn't unique, as it was just his people god in Tiamat, he was a draconic sorcerer who dabbled in warlock, nothing to note here. The 2nd, was glory paladin, celestial warlock. His god was his people's war god in the War Lizard, translated from his people dialect in draconic. His patron was largely unknown, but allied, if not subserviant to the War Lizard. We only did two games with these characters, so we never ghot to know much, but his patron did act as a stronger bond between him and his god, so it was likely a coatyl or such that connected us. Would have been interesting if this got to continue, as my patron, and the pure warlocks patrons had interest in the demon gem was confiscated. My god wanted it destroyed if possible, while we never did know what our other warlock had in mind (GOO).

Alright, I have two for you.
    First:
Baldrick Bluefield is a nobleman Hexblade Warlock. He's got a heart of gold and is skilled in all things social, but is foppish, lanky, and physically weak. He ran away from home because he believes that a nobleman should be a capable warrior, which he is not. He encounters a Magic glaive that speaks to him, offering to make him a true warrior if he promises to become its clerk once his Noble title is restored.
What he does not know is that the glaive is actually an unseelie fey that wishes nothing but to inflict suffering on mortals. Issue is, she's very bad at making deals, which is why she got turned into a glaive in the first place. In fact, she has already messed up her deal with Baldrick, as he never lost his Noble title in the first place. These two have a sort of Pinky and the Brain dynamic, where she comes up with a dastardly but flawed plan for Baldrick to execute, and he messes it up by following it in a technically correct fashion while doing the right thing.
    Second:
Virgil Lockwood is a chain-smoking thief who's also a celestial pact Warlock. His patron is a phoenix who was cursed to not reincarnate when her last ember burned out. The way that they met is that he stole the censer her embers were being kept in, believing it to be magic. As he was escaping, he was shot through the lung with a triangle headed crossbow bolt. The phoenix, being a merciful and kind soul, told him that she had just enough strength to hold his lung together, but not enough to fix it, and that she can only do that so long as her ember still burns.
Virgil's solution was to use her Amber to light a smoke, and now she lives on as the bud in his cigarette, keeping him alive and granting him warlock powers. They bicker and banter constantly because she is an idealistic and noble person, while he is nihilistic and selfish.

A bit of a long post here so be warned.
Never got to play this one but the last Warlock I made was Huan Jie-hu, a Half-Elf Dragon Pact (Homebrew I found online) Warlock patron who was essentially a male Mulan and his patron was Mushu, an Imperial dragon from the divine realm of the Qin Dynasty (Fantasy China). He had Pact of the chain and used it to summon a small avatar of Mushu who would boss him around and try to train him to be a great warrior.
I had a plan to multi-class him as either a cavalier fighter or a beast master ranger, for the riding abilities and various skills earned from his time of military service. But I never got to decide it.
Jie-Hu's backstory is essentially that he was born the son of a lesser noble house that had been falling on hard times ever since the Blood Emperor (Jiangshi Vampire) died during the fracture of the Qin Empire centuries ago. Jie-Hu only had his grandmother, father, and mother in a large decaying mansion without a single servant.
His parents tried to match him up with other noble women but they felt superficial and lacked a will of their own, something Jie-Hu felt important when having a life partner. The girls the other houses offered were more like broken dolls that would repeat any words he wanted to hear while manipulating him.
So he was actually kind of grateful when he was called into service in the army to face an approaching army of raiders from the north, though his parents fell into deep despair fearing the death of their son and the end of their family.
His grandmother took Jie-Hun to the family shrine and told him a small story about the ancient guardian of the family, Mushu, an Imperial Dragon who had sworn to protect their family in times of need.
Young Jie-Hun repeated his grandmother's prayer before leaving during the night on his father's horse, armed with his family's ancestral weapons and armour.
A great storm stopped his progress to the army camp and he had strange dreams of a great crimson dragon flying over the lands before flying down towards his campsite and phasing through his tent and into his face.
"Hello there champ!" He woke up to the cheerful voice of a small long dragon resting on his chest and nearly killed it in a fit of panic. "Ouch! Hey! Stop it! I am Mushu! Ow!"
That was how he met the small serpentine pseudo-dragon who was the direct avatar of his ancestral guardian Mushu. Not the best first encounter but things rarely start out well for a fresh warlock.
Mushu had a lot of knowledge, experience, and power, but he also held a lot of arrogance, had a bad attention span, and was very accident-prone. Probably why a secondary spirit guide was given to Jie-Hu, a small mantis by the name of Cri-Kee, it could not speak but it would do its best through body language and very fine penmanship to keep Mushu on track and help guide Jie-Hun.
The training camp of the army was harsh and difficult for a fresh young man without any sort of military ambitions but Jie-Hun's powers as a warlock offered him an edge over other fellow soldiers. This caused a bit of jealousy from the other soldiers and they bullied him a bit during basic training, trying to get him into trouble. But Jie-Hun managed to complete his basic training and was made an artillerist, having shown a high proficiency with explosives and firearms.
Jie-Hun spent six months in the camp before words from the main army called for reinforcement. The barely trained forces were called on to support the main army and they marched north to stop the raiders. It was a harsh march but the troops reached the coastline safely within just a month. But sadly what they found were the scattered bodies of the army, being feasted on by crows and youkai.
Their commander sent out scouts and soon words from a few survivors told of the raiders being supported by a group of ogres, giants, and strange land-based long dragons (Lindwyrms) and they were heading through the mountains to reach the capital. A plan was made.
The force of 1000 green soldiers started to climb up the mountain to set up an ambush for the raiders. It was harsh and cold, many died of hypothermia or the crumbling ground of the small paths. But they came to the spot a day before the raiders would arrive. They set up the cannons and barrels of explosives in key positions and waited. By the morning the raiding army came from the passage down below and without hesitation, the captain gave the signal thirty cannons fired and two piles of explosives were detonated.
The raiders were blown into disarray as bombs went off around them and cannon balls struck their bodies. Giants, ogres, and dragons all got torn apart and within a minute the great raider army routed and began to run back the way they came.
The force cheered, victory was theirs, but then a loud rumbling sound came from the peaks above them. And they had barely enough time to look up before they were all swallowed by a rush of snow and rock as an avalanche swallowed them whole.
Jie-Hun survived thanks to Mushu's protection but he was the only one. The entire force was dead. He gathered what provisions he could find and took the helmet of his captain and the head of the raider leader before returning to the capital on his injured but alive horse.
You'd think the should be a parade and a reward for the sole survivor of the force that saved the nation? No. Enemies of his family acted behind the scenes and made it seem like he deserted the army and that is the only reason he survived. While also stating that the people would be devastated if they realised the entire army had been defeated, the honour and power of the Qin Dynasty would be shown as weak if the truth got out.
Huan Jie-Hun was not executed or declared a traitor. The Emperor was not that much of a fool. Instead, he had Jie-Hun banished from the nation for twenty years, a magical geas applied to him to prevent him from talking about the truth of the end of the Qin Army, while given a large sack of gold and supplies. His family would be given great honour for his sacrifice, having been part of the force that died to save the nation.
Jie-Hun does not know what became of his family after that. He was put on a boat and sent off to lands unknown with his horse Yun, his patron Mushu, and Cri-Kree. All he had was his armour, uniform, weapons, a bag of supplies, a few hundred gold guans, a letter containing his official discharge from the army, a medal of honour, and a magical geas sealing the truth of the war against the raiders. That was all that was given for the struggle and sacrifice of him and his fellow soldiers.
To say the least, his patron was pissed at the disrespect given to Jie-Hun and in turn to him, Mushu, one of the strongest Imperial Dragons. To banish a person representing an Imperial Dragon to preserve a false narrative while also disrespecting those who died to protect you?
Oh while Mushu's avatar could not portray his anger properly the raging storms and rains raging over the Qin Dynasty more than proved the dragon's anger. But Mushu could not do as much as you'd think. While he was a celestial servant of the heavenly realm was the bureaucracy far from swift even in matters of great importance, Mushu just wasn't of high enough rank to get an appeal from the gods for years, maybe even decades.
So Jie-Hun needed to do what he could on his own to find a way to break the geas and return to the Qin Dynasty.
He had twenty years to survive in lands unknown, twenty years to find a way to earn a living and earn back what was taken from him. The geas sealed much of his old skills as a soldier. And then he and Mushu would bring justice upon those who had dishonoured him and his fallen comrades.
And, by blood, fire, smoke, and thunder he would show them no mercy.
A bit of a long post but that was the entire backstory of the guy. It was fun to write but I haven't found a proper time to play him. Plan to make him an NPC.

This is a little long, but there's a tl;dr at the end if you wish to skip all my blabbering.
My character, Helios, is a Tiefling Ward (Warlock-Bard). He didn't start as a Warlock, he was a Bard. Nothing in his (admittedly boring) backstory of being in a circus as a child and getting picked up by some pirates, all of which turned him into a College of Swords Bard, had anything to do with being or becoming a Warlock. But after a few sessions, our party came across an island after getting run off the PREVIOUS island when we were trying to find some lodging. The island is colorful and full of life, the sand is stark white, and the ocean is clearer than anything the party has seen. It's the closest thing the player characters have come to being safe. We spot some townsfolk in topical wear sunbathing nearby, so our Monk walks over to introduce himself and ask where the nearest town is. We end up following the person to the town and find that the "town" they were referring to, was about 4 rusty shacks spaced out in a muddy clearing. The townsperson opens the door, and we walk in to see a whole bunch of people sleeping on the floor in one of the shacks as they call a "tavern".
About 30 minutes of perception and arcana checks later, we discover that the people are enchanted.
In a small panic, the party swiftly walks out of the shack and when they turn back around, the shack has turned into a full-blown tavern, complete with signage, stained glass windows, multiple floors, and people bustling around the establishment that we can see from outside. Disturbed, the party walks back inside and sees that it is indeed a tavern. Now very disturbed, the party tries to walk back to the ship they were sailing on by the beach, but the forest seems endless, it was right there, and the forest is now larger than it initially looked. In a panic, they run back to the "town" and see the "town" is now a bustling city, larger than the one that they initially started in, with people moving about as normal. While the party is having a "House of Leaves" type crisis, our Cleric casts "Detect Good and Evil" and ends up picking up a signature of a Fey far outside of town. So, we trudge on through the forest and we find the Fey, who it turns out, has the entire island and its occupants under a "Dominate Person" spell and a homebrew version of "Reality Break" so that the island is in its own entirely different dimension (lore: the island is the Bermuda Triangle of the world).
We end up having a chat with the Fey, and somehow our Monk gets enchanted by her through a set of unfortunately clueless character lines on his part. We end up trying to negotiate for his freedom and the Fey says that we can have him back if we play her (totally not rigged) game of capture the flag. If we win, we get his soul back, if we lose, she takes all of our souls. After a team huddle, we debate on either killing or trying to negotiate further with her.
We reach an impasse. When we break, instead of trying to use option 1 or 2, I go for option 3.
    The Business Decision.
I tell the Fey that I have a new deal. (at this moment i have not consulted this idea with anyone)
"You shall relinquish the island inhabitants and our monk's souls from your control, in exchange, you may have mine. Under the condition that I may keep my free will until our quest is complete."
Roll Persuasion. Nat. Fucking. 20. +6 from proficiency.
I hold out my hand in a handshake, and when the Fey shakes my hand, the entire island shimmers and her hold on the island dissipates. Our Monk falls to his knees, and he feels his breath come back like it was being held for hours. Magic flies around me and the Fey as our deal is sealed. So that's my story of becoming a Warlock.
TL;DR i sold my soul to an (admittedly hot) archfey to save an entire island and our idiot monk

had a party of four warlocks once. got into a competition about gaslighting each others characters to deceive them over their true goals and achievements. aasimar celestial warlock had a divine mission to restore temples of the solar faith, locatha fathomless warlock tried to change the local climate to serve his species and patron, jenasi genie warlock planned to seize power from the geomantic net for some geological experiments and mischievous satyr hexblade girl was just constantly breaking the game mechanics for overpowered powerplay.
the rogue meanwhile had his hands full not to get killed whenever one of the warlocks considered him to be more loyal or useful to the other party members.
in the end, the most unique of them was probably our satyr member embracing sheer chaos for the chaos itself...
she used a trick weapon changing constantly from the shape of a whip to a sword. presumably it was her lover, but it still was just a sentient weapon and nothing else. so no godly artifact, just a shapeshifting weapon looking for more possibilites. the dm later gave it additional abilites to turn into a bow, a polearm, a hammer, a greataxe, any kind of throwing weapon.
the worst accident happened when it turned into a female artificial form in the midst of a city of wizards and convinced her contractor to go and feast on everything they could get their hands on. the others kinda held a grudge against the local wizard cult, so they went along with it.
"living liquid metal" she said. she almost ate my rogue.

My warlock never entered into a contract. Their parents did it on behalf of them. They become deathly ill as an infant and no prayer or medicine seemed to work however my characters father is an eladrin (a fey elf) and had ties to an arch fey. The arch fey is a scientific type and his subject of the century is luck and how much luck can be manipulated by a nearly all powerful outside source. So my character with a long life left to live is the perfect test subject. Good luck and bad luck exist in tandem wildly swinging from one side to the other and affects those around them in an aura as well (cool home brew moment). The people of their town learn what happened and everybody starts to blame them for all the bad things that ever happened. And thus they have no choice but to leave and live the adventurers life trying to get a hold of their destiny for the first time ever

My warlock is a hombrewed Alchemist chicken (a warlock rooster). He was confiscated from an illegal wet market and transported to another dimension: New Blacksand; a small pocket dimension similar to arabian nights that houses refugees from other dimensions. The keeper and creator of that dimension is my patron Oneiros: The Prince of Wonders, The Cheshire Cat God, a daimon and demigod who is the son of a mortal woman and Fraz Urb'luu. In his true form, he's a beatisal black shadowy monster with a grinning human face, burning red eyes, and he's the size of a small balrog. On average though, he's a 667 year old humaniod being who looks and acts like a young man who is perpetually in his mid 20's. He has the power to bring the dreams and ideas of humanity into existance, both good and bad. He can be overly dramatic, flamboyant, vain, chaos happy, and imature, but also very wise, thoughful, and kind. His mother is long gone and Oneiros is constantly in a game of chrcks and balances with his father to prevent his fathers influence from spreading across multiple dimensions. He basically took my character in, gave him human sentience, magic, and a human life span, and now Grimmdark is his beloved pet/apprentice. Oneiros also runs on turkish coffee and speaks with a welsh accent (his mother's accent).

This is more of a rant of a player I played with who each of their character they always has 2 levels in hexblade warlock so he gets eldritch blast, agonizing blast, hex, and medium armor proficiency. For each of his characters the patron is literally no one, the character is just so good they can just do all of the stuff a warlock can do. Keep in mind this is not a patron who is returning to their former glory type deal, or a character not knowing they have a patron, this is a I have the ego the size of a football field and sorcerer sounds cool but sucks mechanically. I can safely say, this in the most unique patron, because it uniquely the worst characters I have seen.

Five people torn from war but still alive given the power of a magic metal made of souls by a goddess who favors the unfortunate to make them into four lords (two of them fused into one due to heavy damage to their bodies) who swore allegiance to protect their people from demons and false gods
