These two sweethearts should never have broken up! With Paul's poetical, lyrical writings, and Art's angelic voice... This was a combination made in heaven. I'm still heartbroken after all these years, that they aren't even friends now. Still, we are blessed to have experienced them, and although I was born years after their beginnings, I am a die hard fan. I love them both.

You both didn't understand the comment. It didn't say it required a lot of work from Paul Simon to write, create the songs, but for them to reach this perfect synchronization and harmony of their voices. The technical work required to reach this symbiotic perfection and precision. That no doubt required much work. Though maybe, at a certain point it became so acquired for them to be almost automatic, as if they were a whole while singing.

I’m the youngest of 5 siblings and I remember the day my oldest sister brought home their greatest hits album. I’d sneak and listen every time she left the house. I was hooked on these two at an early age. I never got to see them live so I watch over and over and over their concert in Central Park. It’s just magical. Makes me sad to think I’ll never see them play together again. I tear up a little when they sing “Old Friends” as the time has come where “it’s strange to be 70.”❤️

The last song Paul Simon introduces, Overs, I've never heard. It truly shows his musical, lyrical, and instrumental genius. The style of this music is more like improvised jazz, almost a bossa nova style, as most of the guitar cording he uses, is diminished and augmented, more familiar to jazz chord structures. A brilliant instrumental accompaniment to their singing of this duet.

Omg haha I kept cracking up during 59th street bridge song performance. They look like such nerdy, awkward guys, especially in those sweaters. I love how Paul awkwardly tries to laugh it off the whole time whereas Art always remains kind of stoic and more serious while he sings. Those two are such characters!

Paul Simon looks like those people singing about washing your hands or whatnot in between commercials in children channels.

OWW WOW! Hearing Simon, Garfunkel and the Smothers Brothers sing together a bit.
Saw Art Garfunkel sitting in row behind mine at the Hollywood Bowl about 91'. It was a Paul Simon Concert. Interesting tidbit Art was wearing a skirt. He wanted everyone to cooperate with Simon and moaned about that during the performance. Friend he was with mention how Paul Simon was at the beginning (45 minutes) late and that "we" should storm the stage. (Umm not ME). But I said "YES".😵😵

I'm always interested in the evolution of the insturments these 60s and 70s artists played... as the industry and builders technology improved . And as the success brought better money too....paul played a martin in the earliest days...he moved on to gibson and here a guild jumbo...later a Yamaha equivalent....these days hes back to Martin's om models mostly

Had they just been on a episode of Star Trek before singing "Feelin Groovy"? Wouldn't have pictured Art a doctor and Paul as a who knows what they did extra, but ya just never know.

Paul Simon apparently doesn't like singing "feelin groovy". In the background Art Garfunkel is very serious, whereas Paul Simon looks as though he's having fun.

So many years ago. Back when theycwrote songs with talent. God have mercy.. Life isnt about finding meaning in old pop songs. But loving a ALMIGHTY CREATOR. .WALKING IN HIS WAYS WE . WERE CREATED TO HAVE AXRELATION SHIP WITH GOD ALMIGHTY. THROUGH HIS SON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. KNOWING HIM LOVING HIM. HONOURING HIM. OUR SIN GETS IN THE WAY.
