Yeah. The in game sounds were so loud that I couldn't hear you over it. Would be really great if you could lower that by maybe idk 75% for the next video. But all in all. Thank you for always bringing us all these great build tips.
the thing with floorstacking is, the secure roof from it always comes at the cost of a twisted footprint. in other words. the actual challenge while building floorstacked is to match the horziontal raid cost. i have not yet seen a design that makes me believe a triple stacked base could be a smart choice
You need at least 8 garage doors to balance the raid cost. The entrance in will need to be honeycombed as well. This base is also too cramped to live in, would be better to place door frames on the inner core, instead of walls, then you´ll have a semi open space bigger than a 2x1.
Not sure what your on about pal but I have built a full base design off this and you don't need all the stuff you said and it has loads of room (maybe not for your preference which I respect). I made it have a 1x1 hqm suicide bunker with the other 1x1 a stability bunker housing wb and storage. Then hade 2 triangle drop downs to the outer side of base which had all essentials and 2 more loot rooms. And that was just the ground floor. The 1st floor had shooting floor, more loot rooms and 2 base entrances with door pushes on them.
You will need to stack the roof in the middle without multi tcs and build wallstack around it with multitcs. Otherwise you will always have gaps on top.
Great video, but how do you get in and out? It will always lead to doors and as we all know, they are the least HP. I wonder if there is a way to stack doors as well as floors?
This is just a floor plan. So I would put a door push to get onto the first floor, then have 2 dropdowns with both having 2 triangle ladder hatches. One drop down is bunkered to get to the core and the other has some glass windows to get to the living space inbetween the core and the shell
Oldfknfkr I use your door system all the time in my bases. Raiders never have enough boom. You add the double or triple (thanks ADDER) for the roof and you have a nightmare of a base.
Yes i think it coukd be possible but it would be a disaster as you would need squares on the corners to attach the walls to make them all run off the one tc then you woukd have to connect them squares on the corners by going further out. Its defo not worth it imo
@adder why is it so hard to floor stack or do you just have to keep practicing, i really wanna learn how to floor stack my 1x2 bunker instead of adding a half wall on top to double layer it.
Ok my double floor stack with double bunker is uploaded and ready to go Wednesday then I'm doing a series but might drop the triple floors stack base inbetween the series as it's made just gotta record and edit ;)
@@WaveHolder ffs I know man I wonder y my editor sounds ok and then when I encode it and upload it sound trash. I'll prob leave it if people can still understand what I'm saying but I'll try and fix for next vid ;) thanks for feed back pal
Maybe not. I'm thinking of leaving the top floor of the base with 1 floor so raiders don't realise it's floor stacked on the stone layer. Then make the 3 triple floor on the core 1 sheet metal and then 2 hqm. As they would only find this out when drilling down and prob cry
@@beehp29 I wasn’t complaining. If you go through the walls instead of ceilings, it would be 16 rockets, which is like a 2x1 with a layer of honeycomb. But as he said in a previous reply, this is a concept not a base
This deasign shows you a double and triple floor stack method so you can use this to make ur own double or triple floor stack bases. Also it shows you a base floor print i made which you coumd use aswell if you wanted too
Good vid but the idea is absurd, not only is it a freehand placement (which makes it unreliable ingame) but it's also way overkill? the amount of materials you used, it would be cheaper to upkeep and build the extra HC on the top /sides. Not to mention this particular method only works with a square base. Any bigger base will suffer from this because your jump up / ladder hatches won't be aligned (making it impossible to travel upwards without a ladder chute)
Fair play you do make some valid points like can only use on square base (atm) but I already have a base design and it's good and don't cost too much. Also I have been practicing this floor stack method and it's reliable and I can even do it now without the compass and just by using a half wall and then switching to the foundation
@@A.D.D.E.R I guess so, but even still, a triple stack isn't really viable as it blocks any half height jump ups (meaning you would have to use ladder hatches) and 9 gears for a jump up is pretty steep in terms of the strength (3 rockets + some explo -> 9 gears) vs 9 gears being 5 garage doors -> 9 rockets EDIT: You would also have to make sure your placements are near perfect as a triple ladder hatch would be impossible to jump through if one of them is slightly off centred.

👀 yea I gotta agree with adder on this one. Multi tc makes the horizontal pretty easy. On the simple side... All triangles just corners touching.
Question: Why didn't you just upgrade the 6 walls in front of the TC when showing the upkeep changes? Great concept tho~!
I'm not sure pal I think it would of in the full build. I hate watching my old videos ;)
@@A.D.D.E.R haha that's only because as you put more and more videos out, you get better and better.

Cool. Just would have been good to see the options for access. 👍
I like offset bunkers for this. Even after getting broken in the current age they aren't too hard and work on multiple levels
Can this work instead of using a 2x2 instead of 2x1
Yes but I would practice it on a build server first as you will have to adjust the foot print slightly
Once again a great video. I love the way you've explained the floor stacking method. Makes it much easier.

Fortify a base so a PVPer will have a hard time blowing through 3 full floors. They may run out of C4 or Rockets.
