+AznAfroMan513 Right?! It makes sense right? Seriously, discovering RSD CHANGED my LIFE!!! Have they made a similar impact with you as well? I was terrible with girls...TERRIBLE!!! lol I do actually. Let me know if you'd be interested in seeing how I price them :)
Hey Karl I'm currently a 2nd year business student at my university. I teach two drumlines me on the side during my offtime. I love teaching but I want to pursue my business degree further to open a drum shop. My question to you is do you have a music or education degree? I'd love to possibly become a full time instructor later on, but I don't know if I should pursue a music degree.
Hi Logan, to answer your question, no I do not. I don't want to say if it should be required or not....but let's just say there are plenty of successful people in any field or profession that excel without school. So, you can take that how you will :) Of course, there's no doubt it would help, if you were to go to school to get a degree in music. It's all about how hard you want to hustle and where the best use of your time would be spent and that's going to have to be a personal decision :)
I'm currently the instructor for my old middle school and the first percussion focused instructor for the group. I am doing it mostly for the experience because I haven't found a high school to teach yet. I wanted to ask about how I should get into finding a high school line to teach. My instructor David Cueva who teaches at Cerritos along with Tim Tintari (BD snare tech 06-11) are going to most likely bring me in once I get a season on snare in dci (I have played drum set in Corps before). But I would like to get more teaching experience as soon as possible. Any advice that you have would help. Thanks!
+clark bolding Fore sure The Power of Now, Awaken the Giant Within, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, How to Win Friends & Influence People...to name a few ;) What about you?
Well I'm only 17 at the moment but I've read the compound effect, Strengths Finder, and I'm currently working on the 7 habits with How to win Friends and Influence people in my books to read. I'm trying to apply the knowledge I collect to both playing and fitness and so far it's working really well. I've moved from middle band to top band (out of five) at my school and have lost 18 pounds in the past 2 1/2 months (about halfway to my goal of visible abs)
+clark bolding dude, you're getting in early! I got in maybe 2-3 years ago...you have a huge advantage over most people FOR SURE!!! So keep it up!!! I'm not aware of compound effect and Strengths Finder but I may have to check it out. Do you recommend it? I'm into fitness as well so props to us for living that fitness life!!! 18lbs in 2 1/2 months? Incredible! I'm at a 4 pack abs...lol The lower abs are very difficult to show....
this is the exact video I was looking for!! hopefully this advice will work out for me! keep being great Karl!
