Brilliant stirring music with melodeon Dereck ! I like very much.
Having just learned to play these two tunes together I sooo enjoyed your rendition - brilliantly done, thank you !

Nice one Derek - I enjoyed that!!
Yes, I am a fan of the video **2 Great English Melodeon Tunes**. Brilliant sound, Derek!
magnifique !
Well, that one's gone straight on to my favourites list!
Wow, lovely. Now I know how a jig should sound. I was going to try and throw a bit of Herbert the Sherbert in an offering too ! doh
You make it look so easy.
muy bueno, amigo!!
@clivewilliams65 I decided to record the sound simultaneously with a ZOOM H4 recorder put it back with the video !.... but maintained 192khz 48 bit stereo sound and then compromised the video quality to reduce upload time :-) i think it worked!
This one is at least as perfect as the video **2 Great English Melodeon Tunes**; Thank You for sharing your videos with the melodeon community. Miki
Magnifique! Oserai-je vous demander la partition de superbe morceau? Si vous en avez une bien sûr!?
Do you have a CD out at all? If not, you really should!!
Hi, I love these Scottisches and the way you play, can I know the names of these different melodies?
Balma Rachel The Schottishe a Bethany and the Plane Tree are actually the same tune but played in different rhythms , the faster Plane Tree version is played as a Jig , with the tune "Herbert the Sherbert" put in to it at 3:45 regards Derek
Hi, where do these scottisches come from? Which region? If you help me to know that, it would be great!
Schottishe a Bethanie is also known as Mominet which was written by Maxou Heintzen and changed from 4/4 to 6/8 by Undine Hornby. As a jig (6/8) it's known as the Plane Tree. Schottische A Bethanie appeared in a Blowzabella tune book. The tune Herbert the Sherbert was written by Martin Ellison , UK , for the RANTAN band about 20 years ago. Martin still posts youtubes of beautiful melodeon tunes.
Please do Captin O Cain :) it sounds amazing on acordian
