Sholay has two different endings One in which Gabbar Singh dies in director cut and in theatrical cut Gabbar Singh is arrested. I love Sholay's Directors cut not theatrical cut. Also According to the theatrical cut version Sholay has a Parody Sequel released in 1991 named Ramgarh Ke Sholay.
Great research and analysis. I was always miffed that both Salim saab and Javed never acknowledged the main source ‘mera gaav mera desh’ in any of their interviews. And as you show they have copied from multiple sources…….but what made Sholay truly memorable and legendary is the textured characterization, replete with absolutely fab dialogues. I’ve seen Mera Gaav Mera Desh and despite it being original and a big hit no less….the refinement and gravitas was another level in Sholay. It could be argued that salim-jaaved copied but made the copy far better than the original. For example…the mausi scene in Sholay is a million times better that the inspiration. The actors just lived the roles and characters with one dialogue became household names. So long as Salim-Jaaved are not claiming that Sholay is their original conception, we should all be glad!
Mind blowing study. I truely admire the maker of this video who has taken so much pain in studying and compr9sing the scenewise details of the smartly made movie Sholay. Had this video come earlier when the film was released , Sholay could not have basked in so much glory which it has derived from its popularity. Nobody knew it is copied scenwise . Since we were not equipped technically we could never know these scenes as the movies were not available on internet. The framing of the shots came from directly from his creative head. Sholay has two different endings One in which Gabbar Singh dies in director cut and in theatrical cut Gabbar Singh is arrested. I love Sholay's Directors cut not theatrical cut. Also According to the theatrical cut version Sholay has a Parody Sequel released in 1991 named Ramgarh Ke Sholay.

Great research and analysis. I was always miffed that both Salim saab and Javed never acknowledged the main source ‘mera gaav mera desh’ in any of their interviews. And as you show they have copied from multiple sources…….but what made Sholay truly memorable and legendary is the textured characterization, replete with absolutely fab dialogues. I’ve seen Mera Gaav Mera Desh and despite it being original and a big hit no less….the refinement and gravitas was another level in Sholay. It could be argued that salim-jaaved copied but made the copy far better than the original. For example…the mausi scene in Sholay is a million times better that the inspiration. The actors just lived the roles and characters with one dialogue became household names. So long as Salim-Jaaved are not claiming that Sholay is their original conception, we should all be glad!

Mind blowing study. I truely admire the maker of this video who has taken so much pain in studying and compr9sing the scenewise details of the smartly made movie Sholay. Had this video come earlier when the film was released , Sholay could not have basked in so much glory which it has derived from its popularity. Nobody knew it is copied scenwise . Since we were not equipped technically we could never know these scenes as the movies were not available on internet. Now I feel cheated but let me tell you this is also an Art of editing the scenes of different movies in mind and scripting our own script . The old wine in a new bottle.
