It's good to know that the audience was asked to stay quiet, because I was wondering how in the world anyone could sit still through this song. Personally, I find it physically impossible to not move when listening to this song. Soooo Good.

Everyone saying the crowd is lame and dead, i think the reason is because this perfomance was being broadcasted over the radio and the folks listening over the radio might not be able to hear the avetts if the crowd was being loud, it was probaly asked of them to stay quiet for people listening over the radio!

jdb89142 is exactly right! Every live studio performance asks the audience to be quiet and still. The people there are probably very excited.
THE MUSTACHE!! haha but really they are too freakin great, saw them at bonnaroo in 2012.. I cried during murder in the city (as did several friends that were a crowd away) THEY ARE THAT GREAT!!!
